My personal faith will help me contribute to Liberty University mission is that my strong belief that nothing is impossible when you have God. In Luke 1:37 it says “For with God nothing shall be impossible”, I believe that through this I will be able to overcome any challenges that I might face. And be a leader to those who find it difficult to move forward. I want to use my personal faith to encourage others that with faith we can do and be anything that we want and having Christ my side makes me stronger. Liberty University is my dream school because of its solid Biblical foundation, opportunities for students, and excellent educational program. I have found all three of these qualities in my interaction with the university. I truly sense that Liberty wants what is best for its students both inside and outside of the classroom. In short, Liberty is my dream school because of its heart. The Honors Program at Liberty furthers my respect for Liberty by challenging its students and providing them with opportunities to succeed. Being accepted into the Liberty Honors Program would mean many things to me including preparing me for my future and giving me the chance to become a Champion for Christ. It would challenge and provide me with a close-knit Christian community, new growth opportunities, and a balance amidst the wide variety of new experiences. Being accepted into the Honors Program would further enable me to pursue and fulfill God’s purpose for my life.
I am writing in reference to Suny Lizeth Chirinos and her job application as a substitute teacher. I have known Suny Lizeth Chirinos for ten years as her friend. Since the time I met Suny she demonstrated to be a tough and responsible human being. At the time she was working for a dentistry office where she demonstrated her passion of working with kids, adolescents, and adults. It takes a special kind of person to endure the daily taskers of dealing with patients throughout the years.
Throughout high school I have dreamed of having the opportunity to attend Indiana University. I have a true passion for babies. I love to learn how babies are developed and how they become such an amazing part of the world. Therefore, I would like to apply to Indiana University and pursue a degree in Pediatric Nursing. I would love to be able to deliver babies and deliver new life into this earth. There are several opportunities available for me to get involved with new leadership opportunities. I want to be able to be a leader for all age groups.
My faith fuels my confidence that everything will turn out as it should, and emboldens me to take the first step in any endeavor. I am secure in who I am as a person and know that my values will not falter in college. I believe I would be a good candidate for the Wells Scholarship and that I would represent Westfield High School in a positive light through my drive to succeed and the integrity that I possess.
While other colleges tend to focus on sports and extracurricular programs, Samford is a Christian university whose focus is on helping students to grow in their walk with Christ. Multiple opportunities exist to serve in churches and the surrounding community. Whether attending governor's school, or touring the graphic design department, I have felt at home on Samford's campus. I sense God's presence each time I visit and I want to be a part of the experience.
One major contribution I make to Texas Tech is through my work with community service. Every Texas Tech student contributes to the university though his or her actions everyday, both on campus and off campus. I choose to contribute through my actions off campus by constantly working to serve the Lubbock community in anyway possible. Working to better impact the lives of under privileged Lubbock children, helping serve at Lubbock soup kitchens, and corresponding with national community service organizations helps me to best represent my school and my values. With this in mind, the members of the National Honors Society are displayed as the top tier of their domain; ones that are intellectual leaders, who put others in front of their needs, and are unique in every way possible in comparison to their peers. Pepperdine’s mission statement contains many values I personally hold myself. I was raised in a Christian household and have been taught the same principles Pepperdine teaches its students all my life. My uncle is pastor and has built his own church in Texas. My entire family believes in upholding and spreading Christian values in everything we do. I was baptized by my uncle and believe that a family that is strong and bonded through the word of God can provide so much good to others around them. I believe I will bring the understanding of the Christian mission as well as other diverse characteristics to Pepperdine. Many students are struggling in college. According to the New York Times Web site, only 33 percent of the college students are graduating in six years. Obviously students still need much help to succeed in order to get where they want to go. Although college can be challenging, I am going to succeed by using advice from experts, by developing strategies and ideas, and by taking advantage of the benefits offered by my college.
My passion for public service initiated in my third grade reading class. It was there that I volunteered for “Reading Together USA”, a program to help younger children learn to read. The joy and delight that I felt from witnessing my students’ progress was unprecedented to any feeling that I ever felt before, and I knew from that point forward that my life would be committed to serving the public. Although my forms (TRYING TO SAY WAYS LIKE 1st pre-med then law) of serving others may have changed, the trend of service has remained constant through high school, college, and even my career.
“Opportunity is missed by most because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work” –Thomas Edison. I have had to struggle to get where I am today, and there have been times that I thought I would not make it to my senior year of high school. My life would almost replicate the location of a natural disaster to some. I broke my arm this past October and had to undergo reconstructive surgery, everything academics wise fell out from under my feet. After having surgery on my arm I repeatedly missed school for occupational therapy, which is a form of physical therapy. On top of my arm, I had just gotten my job back at Arby’s. By November I was working anywhere from 20-35 hours a week with school, a broken arm, and OT. I had no time for anything, not even sleep. When I was at school I could barely keep my eyes open, it eventually got to the point that when I was able to attend a full day of school I would sleep during some of my classes so that I would not fall asleep at work that night. I have worked harder in this last year just to make it through, than I have in the last four years to keep my grades up. I work every night now, and my arm is a little more healed than it was when I first started my job, but I still have limitations as to what I can do as a human being. Throughout this essay I will cover these three major points; the most important thing that I have learned in high school, why the scholarship will make a difference in my educational goals, and how I hope to make a difference in the community with my career.
Welcome to bible study we’re all children of Jesus. I am applying for a position in student government due to my yearning desire to be better involved on campus. This fall semester is my second semester at OCC and after completing last semester, I came to the realization that I'd like to do more than just study at OCC. I’d like to be a part of something meaningful and greater. I am currently serving as the General Service Chair for the Circle K club on campus and am focusing on community service and bettering our community. I have been the General Service Chair since March and have extensive event planning and organizational skills. College education is an integral element that is effective to students’ social, mental and the career because it nurtures one to produce the best in life. College education is key to shaping student in tandem with the global demands that touches on career ingredients vital in securing meaningful employment. As a student pursuing college education, I stand to gain from these benefits. College education has been perceived to be expensive, but the fact that it will provide many benefits should not be ruled out. Creating and achieving goals are some important things that people want to do in their lives and learn to accomplish or achieve them. The goals can be small, big, long, short, simple, complicated, hard, objective, career, life, educational, professional and it can be for anything such as health, job, work, you, the people that are around you, friends, family, the world, history, culture and advocacy. In order to accomplish or achieve these goals, you need to have a lot of time, effort, proficiency, patience and perseverance. Goals are the ones to be proud of because we are accomplishing them every day you just do not realize it.
