Music has been around for a really long time. Most people use music to aid with their stress or for entertainment. As our generations are growing so is music. Music is popular nowadays and most of us teenagers use it. We all find it beneficial. Even I find it beneficial for my well-being. They’re many reasons on why I listen to music and why I enjoy it. It has a big role on my life. Ever since I was a young child I listened to music and sang along with it. Music continued to affect my life as I was growing up. It affected the school I went. The mood I was in and it affected on how well I am. In middle school I was in chorus listening to piano solos with violin playing and the chorus singing. It’s a very pleasurable sound. Even now in high school, music still lingers in my life. Primarily, I listened to music because I enjoyed the melody, the rhythm and the way it made me feel. The way music can change the mood and what it teaches. Everyone can agree on how music can teach us a lesson. Well, not all music does the same on teaching us a lesson but there is music out there that helps us feel better. Music moved me on how I feel and what I wanted to listen to depending on the mood I am. Whenever I feel down I listen to Brand New, La Dispute, Nirvana, or Blue Foundation. When I fee ecstatic and eager I usually listen to my 60’s, 70’s or 80’s band. Music follows the way I feel. It’s like I was in an empty blank room and once I turn the volume up it lifts the room mood and goes along with the music.. It either fills up the room with the mood dark and anxiety or colorful and cheerful. The powerful meaning of the song in which is poetically written, the artist singing them with such emotions along with the beautiful instruments. It’s am... ... middle of paper ... ...walked into our school and showed us the video of each and one of their magnet programs. When I finished that video I knew that was the school for me. With music and singing it literally helped me escape through what I was going through. I had a new restart with people I loved with the same mutual interest as me. Now that I go to a school that doesn’t have the music program, music still lingers in my life. I still sing in church and play the piano. Every time I get home I spend my leisure time on listening singing, and playing the piano. Music is a part of me and it’s what defines me. To conclude this, music plays a big role in my life on how I feel and how strong the music is. Music helped me stand up and be where I am right now. It’ll always define for who I am and what I’ve done. Not only did it affect me it also helped me mentally through my time and moments.
Music is a large consumption of my daily life and the artists I listen to have shaped me in some way. Listening to music is one of my most time
Music is the one thing that has been around since pretty much forever. And in that forever we've created hundreds of music genres including; Classical, Rock/Metal, Country, Pop, Jazz, Rap, and the list goes on. For thousands of years we have made and listened to music but why? I think it's because music is an emotional release for all of us. Music just makes us happier and calmer and better. Let me explain to you why I think this.
Music is defined as vocal or instrumental sounds combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion, but music is not bound by its meaning. Music can be almost anything a person wants it to be. No one can put a date on the beginning of music. Some say it began before humans spread around the world or possibly originated in Africa. A conclusion that most people would agree on is that music has been around for mostly all of time. Whether or not people know it, music is a key aspect of their lives, and it affects them in many ways. One may begin to question why do humans participate in and enjoy music so much? This question can never have a concrete answer, but many have ideas of what might be the reason.
Music is something that I believe we could not live without. There is a quote by a philosopher named Friedrich Nietzschethat says “without music, life would be a mistake”. I interpret this to mean that humans would not be creative if it were not for music. There is a reason that music can take us where word cannot. When you hear so many different sounds coming together to make a perfect harmony it is obvious that no words can make you feel the same way as the music. The best thing about music is that there are literally too many genres to choose from. There are different genres of music for any mood you are in. The origins behind these different genres is an interesting and rich history that is begging to be studied and written about. Let me explain....
Music has been around since the beginning of time. Some Native Americans have done rituals that involve music and dancing. Our ancestors have made music with instruments that require materials that you would be able to obtain from animals and dead trees. Music started to boom when the radio came to be. It broadcasted lots of music that would be heard all around the world and for everyone to listen to. Music has been shaping the future for centuries and it has become very popular every time we hear it.
With so many different cultures, races, religions, personalities, etc., it’s surprising how many fundamental things humans share. Music intertwines us all with its diversity and the effect it has on us. Whether you’re looking to rock out in a dance party, get a good workout in, sleep soundly, study hard, recover from a depressive state, or get the thrill of a super scary horror movie, music is there. Although listening to music is thought to be solely a source of entertainment, it can be used to improve almost all aspects of our everyday life.
Music has been in existence for a very extensive time in human history, music has had a monumental impact on us. Music has a strong power to move our lives, and our minds. Since I was young, music have always played a major part in my life and to this day it
Throughout my life, music has always been a major influence. It has the power to change my mood when I'm feeling down, but the thing I find most intriguing about music is that it doesn't always end up improving your mood: like all forms of art, it imitates life, which is not always portrayed in a positive light. The musicians that I admire most have the versatility to induce several different emotional responses in the same piece. This quality is present in most of the wide variety of music I listen to, from Russian composer Dmiti Shostakovich, to Chicago jazz band Tortoise, to California pop/rock sextet Mr. Bungle.
Music is that one friend that will always be there and will never judge us. It changes and has a huge impact on lives tremendously. There will always be that one song that can make a person get up and go. Sometimes, when we are sick it helps to take away some of the sorrow, pain, and it comforts us the best way it can. (White)
Music is one of the few things that has remained constant through the centuries this world has existed. Not only does music provide entertainment, it also has several effects linked to it. Music allows emotions of happiness and sadness to arise. From those emotions, physical effects, negative or positive, can occur. Music has a profound effect on the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical aspects of a person.
Music has absolutely been an enormous part of my life and who I am. However,
Music has always been a big part of my life. Music is not just a bunch of melodies, rhythms, and vibrant sounds. It is a comfort to me. The lyrics of a song challenge my intellect and the rhythms and beats affect my emotions. Music understands me when people don’t. At times it takes me back to an event in my life or even in history. Both consciously and subconsciously my mind remembers the emotions that are attached to a certain song. It can make me feel on top of the world or the complete opposite; music can change the atmosphere and also set the mood. Music has power over my human soul. It soothes it. I cannot imagine not having music to listen to. It is a powerful force and my love for it is incredible.
Think back on a time when you experienced something stressful. How did you cope with it? Recall a time when you needed to relax. What did you use to help you? Chances are your answers involve music. The desire to play music while working, studying, or even relaxing is universal. Whether playing the music, singing along, or just listening, music can have many positive effects that aren’t often recognized. Music is unique in its ability to stimulate more than just one brain hemisphere, incorporating both the right and left sides of the brain. Because both sides of the brain are being affected, there are both creative and analytical benefits to making music part of daily routines. It’s no secret that listening to or playing music is enjoyable, but studies have proven that music can boost more than just your mood.
Music is an essential part of life because of the expression it allows people to have, its entertainment, and its therapeutic ways for the world.
