As the lights go down, the roaring crowd simmers to a whisper; The first strings of the guitar and bass are plucked, I can feel the drums in the ache of my bones and every inch of my body. The vocals start and the once quieted crowd is now going wild. There are people screaming, jumping, and even moshing; bodies are swaying back and forth freely, and people are singing off the top of their lungs. Screaming each lyric that is burnt into the back of my mind after countless nights of listening to the same songs over and over again. Music is the reason I was comfortable being around thousands of strangers, even though I am the most socially awkward person on the face of the earth. A thousand strangers but we all share something in common, the love and passion for music.

Every concert is different but the feelings remain the same. Everyone slowly makes their way into the venue, hearts racing, a smile plastered on everyone's face, and we are all counting down till the moment when the first band enters the stage. As I take in the venue and the surroundings, there's a sense of familiarity. Every inch I grow closer to the stage, deeper into the crowd, I dive deeper into another world. Negatives always come with positives, but these all just seem like minor details when it comes to getting to live these moments. Meeting life-long friends in line, meeting band members, and listening to music that shaped me into the person I am today. Those are the reasons that those few hours will always be something that is more than just a concert. I have a hard time just remembering what happened just the day before, but if someone asked me about the day of a concert I could easily recite every
