How movies work?
A movie camera or video camera takes pictures very quickly, usually at 25 pictures (frames) every second. When a movie projector or a computer shows the pictures at that rate it looks like things are shown in a set of pictures that are really moving.Sound is recorded at the same time.In old movies like in 80s movie the sound is recorded after the movie is taken or later. The sound in the movie usually include people talking or music and sound effects.
An image is a artifact that depicts or records visual precipitation for eg: two-dimensional pictures that has similar appearance to some subject usually physical object or a person.
A series of pictures projected on a screen rapid succession with objects shown in successive positions slightly changed so as to produce the optical effect of a continuous picture in the object moves. The normal rate of a moving image is 25 frames per second so that the human eye could easily observe
I did research on many devices that were used to take movies in 80s and 90s
Devices like thaumatrope, flipobook, phenakistoscope, zoetrope, magic lantern, zooparaxiscope, praxinoscope, and kinetoscope and vita scope. These devices were very important and were the once to start the era of making a movie in 80s and 90s.
In these devices the invention of magic lantrn by Christian Huygens in 1650s was a great success.A magic lantern was the 1st ever projector developed in 17th century.Movies in olden days were shown through this projector only. The magic lantern ia a device which us...

New techniques and visual effects were used in movie to make it more interesting and popular among people. Many famous directors entered into film industry and began to make famous and block buster movies. Directors like ALFRED HITCHCOCK, SATYAJITHRAY, AKIRA KUROSAWA,TONY SCOTT,RIDLEY SCOTT and FILM NOIR gave their blockbuster hit in film industries.
According to me even though there are many good and blockbuster films today, the movies of 80s and 90s like the CITY LIGHTS by CHARLIE CHAPLIN is evergreen and is liked by each and every people living today.80s and 90s were the golden era of film industry.
There first invention produced was the Technicolor System 1 Additive Color, which I’m sorry to say flopped massively due to the unfortunate screening of The Gulf Between in 1917 which only a few frames remain of this film today. This was the first public premier of the technology and was disastrous. The film was captured through two separate filters red and green and the light through those two filters was captured on a single reel of film, when processed this negative had red and green information captured on a black and white reel, when this was processed the reel was placed into a projector and then threw red and green filters. To project the image an adjustable prism that had to manually lined up by the projectionist as two separate images formed on the projection screen this did not work as planned as the projectionist failed to line up the images correctly.
The decade was largely dominated by silent films, but the creation of movies with sound followed afterwards. These innovations greatly improved the movies and made them more immersive and exciting for the viewer. Soon after the invention of sound in movies, the silent era movies...

Movies are everywhere. They are a part of everyone’s life. Think about it, how many movies do you
Approximately twenty years later, Edison made his first moving picture machine. Though he had hoped to combine the phonograph with the kinetoscope in order to produce a talking and moving film, he failed to do so, and simply left it as it was. Edison felt as though there was no future for this device, so he allowed others to copy the idea and make their own versions of it (Barnham). From there, it advanced until it became what’s considered a modern movie
Movies are a great way to take a break from your hectic life and just relax. Movies have been entertaining you and everyone around the world since the mid 1800’s. The evolution movie went from black and white pictures to color and sound to finally 3-D film. Directors, artists, and inventors took hundreds of years to just perfect putting the one by one captured pictures in a fluid motion to make a ten second movie. So, just think about trying to create the 3D effect or even how movies were created.
Film was not always as it is today due to the digital sounds and graphic picture enhancements of George Lucas's THX digital sound in the late 1970s to enhance the audience's perceptions. Sound was first discovered in 1928 and the first films before that were silent. There is a social need to heighten an audience's film going experience and it allows each person to color their own views of what they see and presents either directly or indirectly society's moral values.

Now when you go back to the beginning of the making of film, it did not look and run the same way it does today. It did have a similar purpose, which was the “motion of pictures.” Now this was after the invention of photography, so the purpose of this was to put individual images in a way they looked as if they were moving.
are the ones who developed the first classification scheme. During the 4th century, Aristotle grouped animals according to where they lived. On the other hand, Theophrastus grouped plants according to their stem structure. As time passes by, the ways of identification flourished. Not only did the classification system affect the branch of biology, but it also affected the entertainment industry of the modern world. Genre is an example of the categorization for modern art and entertainment. Genres, such as horror, romance, drama, comedy, and science
‘Then came the films’; writes the German cultural theorist Walter Benjamin, evoking the arrival of a powerful new art form at the end of 19th century. The purpose of this research assignment is to put forward a convincing argument in how digital technology in the last four years have completely revolutionised the whole film industry. This thesis will attempt to focus on the main disciplines of film making and the impact that technology has had on each area. Firstly, this article will look at recent changes in the pre-production area of film making followed by what new equipment and storage facilities are being used during film production. Next is arguable the biggest transformation in the film industry as a result of technology, namely the post production stage. New methods of film distribution are explored followed by the negative impact that technology has had on the film industry with the main focus being on the illegal distribution of copyrighted film footage. New ways in post-theatre film distribution is also explored and the impact that continual break-through technologies are having on the education and training of professionals working within the film industry. Finally an examination of the impact of computer generated graphics on the film industry is concluded by a brief discussion on what the future may hold for the film industry.
