I am finally doing my research to see if I was wrong or right and I will finally be able to show my dad. As I did my research I discovered that Monster energy drinks are known to contain high caffeine, be a threat to teens, contain various chemical ingredients and even but surprisingly only contains 110 calories per serving, B vitamins, and promotes pro longed energy. The high caffeine contained in a monster drink is overwhelmingly unhealthy, according to the New Health Guide. The high amount of caffeine contained in this product can cause a lot of damage to the human body as most of the consumers of this product happen to be teenagers the product can be very harsh on them if consumed many times. As quoted from the article from New Health Guide “Even for adults, the Mayo Clinic recommends daily intake of less than 500 mg of caffeine in a day’s time. More than this recommended amount can result in insomnia, tremors, abdominal pain, anxiety and extreme irritability” this only proves to say that such high amounts of caffeine should not be consumed …show more content…

Vitamin B is also a major ingredient in the energy drink. According to Sara Ipatenco who wrote “Is Monster Energy Drink Good For You?’ she states that B vitamins are responsible for turning your food into energy and that Monster energy drinks contains about 20 milligrams of it. You would think that vitamins are good for you but, this is where its wrong because you don’t need that much vitamin B in the day that’s actual a lot more than you normally would need and drinking monster is all that vitamin B in one drink instead of it being consumed throughout the day within your
