World War II Cinema. This book looks at how film became a popular form of entertainment mainly in Britain and Germany. She investigates each countries national cinema for political purposes. Within this book feature films as well as short films are investigated. She identifies that the main theme is escapism cinema that was crucial in maintaining morale. Fox analysis concluded that there are similarities in their film but there are differences which mainly lie in the different cultures between the two.
