Hi folks, thanks for the response to my previous blog. However, my slothful ways have caught up to me and I need to complete this blog that’s become a few weeks overdue for the Minnesota State Fair. Although, I enjoyed my time at the Minnesota State Fair, although being worn down and tired of hordes of people, I decided not to travel to the Renaissance Fair the following day. However, The Minnesota State Fair was delightful and was able to partake in the music, the culture, and the delicious food. Although my dental regimen was not on par for the toothache that started after eating those sweet delectable cookies. I will explain later in the blog, certainly read further on a few tips for the 2016 Minnesota State Fair.
Bring Plenty of Water & Keep Cool: Nothing’s worse on a hot day than being dehydrated.

Furthermore, the walk was only a one quarter of a mile and took approximately 30 minutes to drive down and wait in traffic. Although, the Minnesota State Fair has designated parking on the premises for $13, the 7000 parking spaces fill up quick. However, I wouldn’t have paid for $30 to 35 right across from the primary entrance or park and ride on a crowded hot bus with numerous rancid people. I rather pay $15 bucks and contribute for a development center of wonderful people.
Buy Mezzanine or Grandstand Seating: Sadly, If you love plastic or metal seats with no adequate view of the artists, sit close of course and pay $30 extra. Luckily we had mezzanine seating and an exceptional view of the concert from the grandstands for $39 dollars each. Happily, I watched the Avett Brothers for the third time and the concert surely did not disappoint at all. Furthermore, discovering the opener The Preservation Hall Jazz Band from New Orleans, LA for the first time was an unexpected surprise as I am not a huge fan of Jazz, however this band may have made me reconsider this

Six flags is a company that has 29 theme parks with a Chief Corporate Engineer, Larry Chickola. Larry overseas all the projects for the parks and has teams of engineers that help take care of technical issues and building and construction. All six flags projects have a comprehensive plan for completing the work in a timely fashion. They have written statements as to what work is to be done and dated schedules for completion. They also have to include tasks and sub tasks all being figured into the budget. There is a “work package,” which is a group of activities assigned to break down each task and sub task to fit these into manageable quotas. They feel this is the key to managing logistics.
Admission tickets, so my friends and I decided to grab a close spot near the stage. We

Gender and Race play the most prominent role in the criminal justice system. As seen in the movie Central Park 5, five African American boys were charged with the rape of the a white women. In class decision we’ve discussed how the media explodes when it reports cross-racial crimes. The Central Park 5 were known everywhere and even terms were being made up during the process such as wilding. Also, during one of the class discussions it was brought up that victims of crime are of the same race of the perpetrator. However, the media likes to sensationalize crime of the victim being of a different race, because it makes for a good story. By doing this, the media does create more of a division of race. As seen in the video Donald Trump was trying

For the last thousands of years it has always been the survival of the fittest. In the novel Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins we are introduced to the world of annual games where people are set to face each other in order to survive. What would you have done if you had been taken away from your family and friends to fend for yourself in the hunger game? The games are a full of violent participant who are all trying to stay alive by killing the other twenty tributes (contesters). That’s the fear that people of Penaon live in, A dystopic country built on what was once North America. It is a world of limited resources, they are run by a tyrant government officials that are controlled by Capitol who basically runs and controls the other twelve districts. People of Capitol are enjoying the lavish lifestyle of advanced technology and wealth and don’t seem concerned about the other districts who are in constant threat of starvation. At the start of the novel we are introduced to Katniss everdeen who is part of the poorest district (district 12 who is forced to scavenge and hunt for her family’s survival.
It is over a hundred degrees outside, the sun is beating down and sweat is dripping down your face and soaking the back of your shirt. You have been outside doing yard work for a few hours now and have not had any water to drink. What happens to your body when it loses water and you are not replenishing it; dehydration. It may not seem like anything too serious but, in some cases, dehydration can actually cause some serious damage to your body, be life threatening and even cause death. The number of Americans that suffer from dehydration is actually quite high; 75 percent are living in a constant state of chronic dehydration. This means that for a substantial period of time their body has been without the correct amount of water that it requires to maintain and keep itself healthy. So what exactly is dehydration? It is a “condition that occurs when the loss of body fluids, mostly water exceeds the amount of fluid that is taken in.” (WebMd) The human body carries an amount of water that ranges anywhere from fifty to seventy-five percent depending on your age, gender and weight.” (Helmenstine) Our body must have water to function properly. While water is the ideal liquid, any liquid, and even some foods with high water content, will help keep the body hydrated, healthy and thriving. Just like a flower that needs water every day, so does the human body.
Drink plenty of fluids - drinking at least 8-10 glasses of water a day is highly recommended.
No matter what seats you get there will be a lot of standing because everyone is dancing and singing. The ground level wouldn’t be good for kids and aren’t as good for comfort because there is just folding chairs. The second level is where I sat and was a good view because the seats were layered. The third stage is very far from the stage even though there are TVs it is hard to actually see him on stage. Then there is the back of the stage, which is just seeing his back which probably isn’t the best.
Carnivalesque is a concept that is directly associated with the theory of Bakhtin presented in “Rabelais and his Word”. Bakhtin explained that culture has been managed or controlled by authorities and church mainly in the medieval time. However, with time, culture became a surrogated element for generally accepted activity of humor. Bakhtin presented a very clear idealistic image of carnival where everything could happen to illustrate life and celebrate the presence of body. This rather raises the question regarding carnival as a significant part of modern life. This paper aims to discuss the statement of Bakhtin stating that carnival has undergone a great deal of transition from medieval time to romanticism. Furthermore, a discussion or implementation of the idea that was presented by Bakhtin will be done on Batman (1989) and Night before Christmas (1993).
When thinking about one specific culture, there are many aspects that tie into its daily life. Norway, in the 1800s, had a unique way of showing the culture of the land by how people lived their day lives. Back then, some important parts of the culture of Norway included house chores, meals, and child care. The day-to-day activities of Norway in the nineteenth century helps further the understanding of its culture. Daily activities included how people dressed, shopped, socialized, celebrated a holiday, and what they ate. As the turn of the century approached, many things started to change in Norway that affected how people lived their lives, and how society was ran.
Brazilian Carnival History is more in-depth and more interesting than many people might think. There is a lot more to Carnival than simply parties. The pre-Lent festivities known as carnival originated in Italy in the 1400s. The tradition spread rapidly among Catholic countries in Europe and was in the end adopted in the Americas, taking hold especially in the devoutly Catholic nation of Brazil. The Carnival of Brazil is a festival annually held Friday to Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent, the forty-day period before Easter. On certain days of Lent, Roman Catholics and some other Christians traditionally restrain themselves from the consumption of meat and poultry. This is where the term "carnival" comes from, carnelevare, which means "to remove meat." Carnival has roots in the pagan festival of Saturnalia which was adopted in Catholicism becoming a goodbye to things in a season of religious discipline to practice repentance and prepare for Christ's death and resurrection. The Brazilian Carnival has gone from being just a party before the silence of Lent to being a major production. It can be traced back to Christian traditions, African influences and Brazilian Indians. Each part of Brazil has developed its own particular style for Carnival.
