Abstract
In this small quaint town on a sunny yet cold afternoon, I sat in and observed this dwelling for several minutes. Watching numerous people walk in and out of this dwelling. Some carried objects in but came out empty handed, while others walked in emptied handed and came out with different sized items. This dwelling is square in shape built in brick, quite large in capacity with double doors, a parking lot with twenty or so spaces for vehicles, and a large metal shape blue object in the parking area. There are also a few square shaped objects on wheels that are being operated by two males. These men carried large plastic bins filled to the brim and placed in the back end of the metal object.

processing, discovering Through the double doors of this brick structure is a large capacity filled with rows of metal boxes to the left, to the right side has two more glass doors with a two counters and people inside.
There is a woman behind the counter assisting others that are inside. Some have carried in objects and after several minutes inside have came out with nothing in hand, while others have gone inside this brick building empty handed and came out with one or multiple objects in hand.
I can see two metal objects on wheels that two gentlemen are operating filled with items inside. These gentlemen are also wearing the same material of clothing and same design. The metal box in the parking lot sits alone and many people are placing objects inside and leaving without taking anything from it. This building is very active with many people moving in and out several times within minutes. The brick building sits on a street with many other same style brick dwellings surrounding the area which are also very populated.
Occupants that were in and out of this facility seemed to be in good character with no issues. Occupants were from different age ranges from young to the elderly and multiple ethnic groups. Also, this facility seems to serve many different purposes that the community benefits by, and would be the reasoning it is so populated in use. Also, there are many interactions amongst each other in conversation as they know one
another. I would use archaeology, and Cultural Anthropology to help me with discovering how this building was constructed and why it is so helpful to our community. Getting information from the community and businesses could help get a better understanding of why this specific dwelling benefits the community and how it has evolved from the early centuries to what it is today. Archaeologist face many obstacles trying to piece together the past, for many situations there are no answers so observations and much research holds many discoveries. In many instances there are no records kept to help with any information or whether they have been lost or rewritten over the thousands of years. Some cultures hold value in their past and gaining access to the artifacts would be more difficult to gather without gaining consent.
Lewiston, Idaho, once an important port for miners traveling in search of gold, is now a town of about 30,000 people. Few of the people who live in the Lewis-Clark Valley speak of its over one hundred year history. However, there are still parts of the community where one can explore and see the age of the town. Downtown Lewiston is one of a few areas where people can go exploring. They wander the streets, admiring the buildings that stand proudly above them. One building in particular ties a unique history into the downtown area. Morgan’s Alley stands at the corner of Main Street and D Street, overlooking the cars and people passing by. On the outside, it looks like an ordinary, older building. On the inside, it holds secrets of the past and possibly a ghost.
Throughout the semester I have grown accustomed to my surroundings. Well, at least for the most part. There is still one building that intrigues me to this very day. As I’d walk past it on my journey to Baruch College, I’d stare the entire time. The building seems like a simple rectangular building. However, some aspect of the architectural design captivates me. Strangely enough, army trucks are always parked alongside the building. However, upon attempting to research the building, I could not find it. I was too intimidated to venture in and inquire for the name. None of the bystanders I asked knew the name of the building, nor cared to.
The Department of Social Services in Pitt County is a very drab building on the inside and out. I noticed that the receptionist is completely separated from patrons by a wall with a hole in which to speak through. Though I realize that many buildings have this set up, I feel that it creates an impression of disconnection between the staff and clients. I did notice a small play area for children as a part of the waiting room, which I believed was considerate to parents. Halloween decorations were out as well, creating a more comfortable feel.

Elderly resident living in Leisure World Long term care center Brampton, Wood is the community I will be assessing. The facility was established in early 2003, it is located at the intersection of Humber west road and Gore way drive. The home consists of private and shared rooms, accommodates 160 residents with cultural diversity.

Metal foam in the future will be an integral part of our society, however, in order to prevent abuse from this technology ethical principles will be applied and anticipated. Metal foam will be heavily used in the medical field, specifically orthotics. It potentially could replace and enhance the human bone structure. Consequentially, there is a great potential that people will misuse the technology, prevent others from benefiting from the technology, and falsely misrepresent the technology. The principles used to anticipate ethical problems are justice, rights, and consequentialism.
This article is about an experiment done to try to see if Aluminum can cause resistance in potatoes to a disease. Aluminum is commonly found in arid soils which accounts for 35% of all farmable on earth. The aluminum (specifically Al3+) targets the roots of the plants and causes stunted plant growth and abnormal root formation. THis causes stresses in the plant which could lead to cross resistance. This immunity has led to some plants to develop cross resistance to diseases. THis has happened before in the plant, an example is the fact that ozone induces resistance to the tobacco mosaic virus in tobacco plants. This phenomenon is what is being tested for in potato plants. Potato plants will be subjected to infections from Phytophthora
closely regulated by the government in order to maintain a safe housing unit for inmates.
We entered the building into a room where approximately 15 people were sitting in chairs. Most were staring straight ahead, eyes glazed. Some were chattering quietly to themselves, some were walking around with an awkward gait. As I walked further through the floor looking into rooms, I saw many people sleeping in their beds.
When Willy and Linda purchased their home in Brooklyn, it seemed far removed from the city. Willy was young and strong and he believed he had a future full of success. He and his sons cut the tree limbs that threatened his home and put up a hammock that he would enjoy with his children. The green fields filled his home with wonderful aromas. Over the years, while Willy was struggling to pay for his home, the city grew and eventually surrounded the house.

They allow them to be individuals by giving them permission to decorate their rooms and doors. For example, some of the doors were decorated for Halloween while others had pictures of their family. Each room had different furniture and accessories that the resident had brought with them, but they were virtually set up the same way. The facility also offers various group activities such as bingo, therapy, and exercising classes. By doing that, they are allowing the residents to find an activity that they enjoy so they can invest themselves into it. I witnessed a few interactions between a resident and a staff member and they were all positive. The staff genuinely cares about the residents that live there, and it shows. When my group was walking down the hallways, the staff made sure that we moved to the side to allow a resident to pass through undisturbed. Again, they put the residents first before anything
Once upon a time, the lone metal detectorist combing the beach was an oddity. These days, they're borderline hip. It used to be that beach essentials meant suntan oil or sunscreen, large and colorful towels, floppy hats, a Frisbee or a volleyball. Now, some can add a treasure metal detector to the list and no one will find it strange or out of place.
Physically and chemically Aluminium is a metal much like others such as; steel, copper and titanium. I can occur as a solid, a liquid or a gas and the state at which aluminium occurs depends on its condition, temperature and pressure. Aluminium is a very light weight metal at 2.7 grams per 〖cm〗^3, which is approximately one third the weight of steel. (HIGGINS, 1972) It naturally forms a protective oxide coating which protects it from corrosion; this oxide coating is thin but very dense and can be made harder through a natural or imitated treatment called Anodising. Aluminium can be further protected with treatments such as coating through lacquering and painting. It is an excellent heat and electricity conductor. It has a low melting point and is very ductile. And finally aluminium is completely recyclable without a reduction in quality.
