Soccer differs in Spain and in America when it comes to attendances and passion for the sport, play style, and the way their players are shaped into professions. The United States is said to play a hybrid form of soccer compared to hispanic countries (Parrish). American soccer athletes are typically taught to emphasize conditioning and possession. Secondly, Americans and Hispanics’ passion for the sport are extremely different from one another. The people in Hispanic countries live for soccer, as they are devoted, passionate, and loyal to the teams. Contrarily in America, football, basketball, and baseball trump soccer making it only the fourth most attended and watched event. No matter how the sport is played or how many people attend the events, soccer is well liked in both the United States and Hispanic
Soccer is still the world?s most beloved sport, and will continue to be the number one sport for generations to come. However, North America is never bound to join this band wagon because we simply find the sport dull. The fake injuries, scoreless games, and long game lengths disappoint the majority of North America, whom would much rather watch other exciting sports. Because of lacking a long-time tradition, excitement during matches, and good opportunities for big time television networks to broadcast the games, the real football fails to succeed as the superior sport in North America. Paying $250 million dollars to David Beckham won?t do any good in promoting soccer across North America. ?Football? will continue to be less than a second thought, so long as we have these other terrific sports at hand.
Messi became the player he is today after being in an environment that allowed him to practice and reach the ten thousand hour rule with top coaches, players, and facility in the world. Messi was also lucky enough to be scouted by a team that was a great fit for him and willing to assist his medical treatment that could have been ruinous to his outstanding career that impacted the world of

All my family loves soccer, we have this tradition that when a Mexican team plays we all get together to watch the game at my mom’s house. I think that’s what makes me love soccer as much as I do. Playing soccer also helps me to relax and to be confident when I have stress or after a long day at work. It's not just about kicking the ball or scoring

...t very seriously and expend most of their free time trying to get better. In the United States, though, this is virtually reversed. This is not to imply that countless players at all strata in the U.S. do not take the sport as earnestly or try as much as their European counterparts. However, soccer is placed neatly on a high shelf next to tennis and golf, written off for the large part as a sport of the affluent and wealthy. Masculinity also plays a role, as many see football to be much manlier, played traditionally by the archetypal jock. Major League Soccer (MLS) achieves only a fraction of the viewership of the National Football League (NFL). Matches are only broadcast on national networks once in a blue moon, if at all. It is plain to see, especially at U of M, how little emphasis is placed on soccer in comparison to football. One need only to follow the money.

David Beckham is the one sports star, who not only is a phenominal player, but is probably the most famous sports icon outside just soccer. It is definetely harder to find someone that has not heard of David Beckham, than someone who has. People occasionaly wonder, however; "Why Beckham? Why is he so famous?" The answer might not be very simple, but maybe it is the combination of a great shot, a fantastic cross, his own Adidas shoe, his changing hair-style, his modeling career, his marriage to the Spice Girl Victoria Beckham (formerly Adams), his big mistake against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup, his England capitancy and him having belonged to the two largest teams in history that make him so popular among the crowd. When one reads David Beckham's autobiography, David Beckham My Side, something that is surely visible and clear, is his igoistic thoughts and life-style.

When Ronaldo was a young boy his mom wanted to abort him. Luckily this didn’t happen because he's the greatest soccer player of all time. He was not rich he was poor. He fought his way through all the way to the top. He had a heart disease that made his heart race which could have ended his soccer career. Ronaldo is a big inspiration to me and a lot of other people. He makes me try harder when i see him. He took his team to the world cup in 2014 he scored a hat trick and this is a big deal because the world cup happens every four years and only a handful of countries make it. When i watch Ronaldo play i feel like nothing else matters because it doesn’t. Ronaldo went through a bad knee injury in 2014 before the world cup started and you could tell it had an effect on him. His team was not going so hot they got kicked out of the world cups first knockout stage. In 2015 he overcame his injury and had a good year but the best was yet to come in 2016 and 2017 they won the
In conclusion, we can see that Messi’s career have been successful in over a short period of time. But, has also had some upsets that were overcome by the young superstar and also overcame his disorder to reach his goal of being a professional soccer player. In addition, all his hard work have paid off because he won some of the most prestigious award that a soccer player can get at this level, like the Golden Ball. And that can say that he is the “FIFA World Player”, of the seasons 2008 and 2009, because all the people decided that he decided, such as thing like that.
When people ask what my favorite sport is, I quickly reply soccer. I never really gave much thought to who my favorite soccer player is until I saw Lionel Messi for the first time. I saw him play for Argentina and he showed me how great soccer really is. He has a great style of both teamwork and individual skill. The ability he has to keep control of the ball is what made me interested in soccer. Without him, who knows if I would even begin to enjoy soccer. He shows both individual skill and the importance of teamwork. He does not only score a ton of goals, but also gives many assists. Lionel Messi, in my opinion, is one of the greatest soccer players in history. Lionel Messi is most definitely one of my role models. Messi doesn’t only teach me how to improve on individual skill but also can show me the importance of not showing off. The soccer skill that this man has is unbelievable. Lionel Messi is a great role model.
