At risk patients or patients with pressure ulcers should not be placed on a foam mattress but on an air mattress (Royal college of nursing, 2001). Lily had a foam mattress and with a grade 3 pressure ulcer. Therefore, it would have been appropriate for her to have an air mattress rather than a foam one.

Sleep insomnia is when you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep even when you have a chance to do so. Sleep apnea is when you have trouble breathing when you’re asleep. Due to modifications in socio-economic status, social ethics and values, there are variations of cultures amongst countries and regions viewing on co-sleeping (Huang & Wang, pg. 170).
