I have read about a handful of admirable men and women in history. Some of these people are Abraham Lincoln, an honest, courageous leader, Miep Gies, a woman full of bravery and compassion, and Todd Beamer, a man who was quickly strategic in saving thousands of lives from one of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Throughout history, many people, whether a common man or a great legend, have shown praiseworthy character. Three other examples are the persistent Martin Luther King Jr., the courageous Mohamed Bouazizi, and the generous Misha Collins.

He is an actor with a loving wife, two kids, and a nice home. But how did he get there? Let’s start at the beginning. Collins was born into an impoverished family. Struggling to keep their home at times, he and his mother lived out on the streets. One Christmas, a neighbor gave the family one hundred dollars. It was the greatest blessing they had ever received. Shortly after this miracle, Collins decided that he wanted to be as generous as that woman. Of the three, I would like to continue working on my generosity. Ever since my early childhood, I have been a “people pleaser.” I put others’ needs before mine, especially in rough situations. I will do whatever it takes to satisfy or help a people who needs it. To become a more generous person, I plan to volunteer at a hospital all summer with my brother and donate money from mowing lawns to Random Acts. Misha Collins once said, “Conquer the world one random act of kindness at a time.” I have been following this quote for years, and I plan to continue so someday I will be as generous as
