I am not sure which part of the world I see myself in the next three years, so I decided to take a closer look into marketing career as a whole. help my future plans. What is marketing and what do marketing professionals do? This is a number one question you should ask yourself before making any other further steps towards your career. Marketing can include various things, such as customers, analysis, advertising, sales, promotion, and price. Marketing professionals perform negotiating contracts, researching and planning advertising campaigns, advertising media, negotiating contracts, and meeting clients to present various campaigns. There are many marketing manager positions you can take, such as advertising manager, public relations manager, marketing manager, promotions manager, brand manager, sales manager, and market research analyst. The one that really interests me at the moment is either sales manager or marketing manager. I have a great background of sales and that could be beneficial for my future career, also sales is something that I really enjoy doing. On the other hand sales can be very stressful so changing my career path just a tiny bit and becoming a marketing manager is another great choice for me. Either one of these positions would make me satisfied, so I am going to take a closer look into the education needed and the average salary rates of these two professions. When entering the world of marketing one of the requirements is a bachelor’s degree in business which I am working towards. There are no specific certifications required for marketing profession. When it comes to salary, I was trying to find the average annual salary for marketing manager and I was able to find $87,981, which I thought, was a pretty good amount. This annual salary would be the same for pricing manager as well. I was also curious to see what would the average annual salary of a sales manager look like and this is what I found- $69,076, which I thought was good, but I would prefer it to be higher, so I would probably be more interested in a marketing manager’s position. According to salary.com this may vary depending on industry, location, company size, level of education, and years of experience. Another thing that interests me a lot is pros and cons of this profession.
Why would it be or not worth it to go ahead and choose marketing out of all the other possible careers. Some pros are that sales and marketing managers are in charge of others, they still get to sell and market, they get to travel, and they also get a decent starting salary. If a person likes to lead and be in charge of others, enjoys selling, loves traveling, and appreciates a good raise from the beginning of their career- then these are some serious pros for them. On the other hand nothing is ever perfect and everything in life has some cons too. Some cons of marketing managers and sales managers include being responsible for employees and certain work duties, being a leader and having to bring in business at the same time, traveling for weeks and coming back to a home office where piles of paper work is waiting for you, and any other expectations because of a such a good salary. Every job has pros and cons so the cons of a marketing manager and a sales manager do not scare me too much. I feel like if you really want something- nothing can stop

Marketing is a process of determining a consumer’s needs, devising a product or service to satisfy those needs, and trying to focus customers on the goods and services you are offering. Marketing is extremely important, and a fundamental building block for business growth. A marketing team is given the task of creating customer awareness through a variety of different marketing techniques. If a business does not pay close attention to their consumer demographic and needs, they will eventually fail over time. Two important aspects of marketing include acquiring new customers, and the preservation and growth of relationships with current customers. Marketing has always been viewed as a creative outlet, which encompassed advertising, distribution, and the selling of goods and services. Marketing staff will also try to anticipate what customers will want in the future, often being accomplished with market research. In summation, a good marketing plan should be able to create a favorable proposition or series of benefits that a customer can value through goods or services. The marketing mix is normally described as the strategic positioning of a product or service in the marketplace, using the specification of the four Ps. During the early 1960’s, Professor E. Marketing is very important to the success of a business. Before people can buy a product or service they have to know about it. However, marketing entails more than just letting people know what your company has to offer. Throughout this paper, I will define marketing, offering my personal definition as well as more formal definitions from other sources. Furthermore, I will explain to the reader the importance of marketing to organizational success giving real world examples in support of this explanation. The field of marketing can include many things. I believe, however, the most important thing which it should include is communication with customers as to the value and benefits of using that particular company's products and services. It should help to establish the business's niche in the industry and distinguish it from other such businesses.

Career wise, I would like to begin as a registered nurse. However, ultimately I hope to obtain a Master’s of Science in Nursing and have the possibility to become a nurse practitioner. While these dreams are ambitious, I truly believe that I am prepared to accomplish my goals because of my life experiences.
Before taking this course, marketing was all about product and the promotion of that product. I took a marketing course during my undergrad about 7 years ago that emphasized the 4 P’s. Building a strategy around promoting a product and/or service seemed to be the most fundamental concept of marketing to me. My narrow thinking soon changed after going into the workforce and after taking this course. Marketing is more than just telling potential and current consumers about your products and why they should buy it. Marketing truly encompasses all areas of business. A great marketing strategy needs to focus on all the new strategic marketing elements of positioning, product, logistics, price, integrated marketing communications, and service. It’s
