Leaders either get two reactions from the people when they get into power. The people either love them or are scared of them or of the things they will do. Sometimes the people can love the leader but not like the things they do. In that case the citizens had expectations for the leader before they were given power, and the leader didn’t meet them. However, that happens more often than the people simply just loving the leader they elected. Leaders can be both loved and feared by the people. Mao Zedong was a Chinese communist, military commander, strategist, political philosopher and party leader. He was seen as a hero leading China to many victories and leading rebellions. He came to power after leading his Communist forces to victory against …show more content…
Mao did what he thought was best for China but the people didn’t always agree. Mao retained his unquestionable place in the Politburo of the Communist Party of China since 1943 and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China since 1945. As a prominent leader and a veteran having fought many battles, Mao, during the Chinese Civil War, led the Communist Party of China (CPC) to a series of victories that drove the Kuomintang (KMT) and its troops to the island of Taiwan. He also proclaimed the formation of the People’s Republic of China. Mao Zedong also set up many programs including the Soviet Style Economic Program, the First Five Year Plan, and set up collecting peasant land into huge communes. Some of these things were good for the people and helped get his name out there as a good leader. However, Mao did things that were not at all good for the people. He was a mass murderer in China. When the nation was facing a famine, compared the systematic torture, brutality, starvation and killing of Chinese peasants to the Second World War in its magnitude. At least 45 million people were worked, starved or beaten to death in China over these four years; the …show more content…
Kennedy took office on Jan, 20, 1961 and served until he was killed on November 22, 1963. John F. Kennedy gained the power to become president first by getting a good education and then by serving in the US Navy. He was a member of the US House of Representatives and a US Senator. He served as President from 1961 until 1963. The people liked Kennedy because he did good things to help the country out. For example, he encouraged Americans to do great things and he introduced the Peace Corps. He had a big impact on America and the world. He played a major role in the Cold War, in the arms race, civil rights movement, and Vietnam war. But Kennedy also had a dark side. As the Washington Post says, “ JFK had a dark side. The same internal fire that fueled his political success could also burn out of control”. In other words John F Kennedy did whatever he had to in order to get what he wanted. He wasn’t above bullying others and issuing threats. He risked his White House tenure, the welfare of his party, his policy goals and everyone he supposedly held dear. This was bad for the people because he made enemies. Administration was in general trying to stop the Mafia. This made him very unpopular with a very powerful foe and enemy, one that worked outside the law. This would obviously make the people scared because they now had enemy powers. So they loved Kennedy for what he was doing but then was scared of him for
President Kennedy was a very poor president. But however president Kennedy was a very brilliant president. When he was sworn into office, he said these tremendous words “My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” Mr. Kennedy established the Peace Corps, which was huge in America. He also prevented nuclear war. He did many things to make America better. The assassination of JFK was a very depressing day for many people in America.
That his desires to create equality amongst his people were good is not the argument here. Rather, the focus is that by seeking to destroy the bourgeoisie within China and to raise up the proletariat, Mao simply helped these two social classes switch roles.
Kennedy was elected president in the year of 1961. Which was during the time that the Cold War was in full swing. The Cold War being the tension filled era between the superpowers in the east and the superpowers in the west. Contrary to the other two presidents, JFK was not speaking to the American public at the time of the war 's conclusion but right near the middle of the 40 plus year issue. Regardless he was assuring the public. He stated, “...that the torch has been passed to a new generation of American-”. That optimism cannot be matched. Even at the darkest of times could he stand up there, the president of the United States, and tell the young people of America that their time is now. Not only that but he attempts to inspire Americans when he says “Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”, which was definitely a knock at the Russians. JFK overall had this persona about him. This was the speech where muttered that historic and uplifting quote, “And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country.” His message of peace and coexisting really stand the test of
The main aspect of his worldview was “socialism in one country” (Wood, 5, 10), instead of world revolution because he believed that, in order to have world revolution, he first needed to concentrate on making his own country communist. Even though all these revolutions and campaigns and revolutions were not all successful, his view of a socialist, industrialized, and communist country was somewhat successful. Although Stalin and Mao were two very different communist figures with completely different approaches to a socialist country, they were able to get along.
During the Cultural Revolution Mao Zedong , people also knew him as Mao Zedong Tse tung was the Chinese ruler. He ruled the country during this time known as Chairman of the Communist Party of China. Moa was very well educated in Western and Chinese traditions. During the year 1918 Mao Zedong had a job as a librarian assistant at Peking University. He would call himself a Marxist in the of 1920 and he helped found the current Chinese Communist party Communist formed an alliance during 1923 with a man called Sun Ya sen and his Nationalist party. After that Mao Zedong quit the current job he had as a teacher to become a poli...
Mao Zedong will forever live on history as a revolutionary, not only in China but across the globe. There are very few communist nations today because of the many difficulties of having a homogenous population, which shares the same ideals. Mao was able to modernize and re-socialize his citizens in a short amount of time. He defined himself as the face of change in China. Mao’s vision of equality for all Chinese citizens has still not been achieved but it is well on its way. The only question lies in, does the end justify the means.
Kennedy always saw the belief the people had in him. Everyone looked up at the family to see what they were doing and tried to do whatever they were doing. He acknowledged all the things he had to do and made it pretty clear that he received good respect from his voters. He gave power to the people. When people looked up at him, they saw how much he cared.
John F Kennedy was assassinated for many reasons. One big reason was that many people considered him a bad president. One reason for this is that he signed an order that would put the International Bankers who own the Federal Reserve out of business. On June 12, 1963, and executive order number 11110. It basically was going to strip the power of the federal reserve to loan money to the U.S government. This means that the bank was going to be out of business. When this was proposed, this meant that many people were going to lose their jobs. And they all got mad at JFK. They thought he signed it so he's responsible for our jobs. This cased hatred between many people. Another reason why people hated JFK was the Bay Of Pigs Invasion. The Bay Of Pigs Invasion was a plot to overthrow Cuba's communist government. This plan was started before his presidency. Later when he was a president, he learned about the plan. On March 11, 1961, Kennedy invited CIA director Allen Dulles and Richard Bissell the CIA's chief of operations to the white house. They were all going over plans on how the mission was going to be like. Dulles and Bissells both said that they were going to start the invasion with air strikes....
...he was a new and different kind. During and after his presidency, Kennedy was a highly charismatic, graceful figure who, in the view of many, was taking the United States in a new direction with a sense of mission and purpose.
...e up with his Five Year Plan to try to create more of a world power by increasing China’s industry. At the beginning of the Revolution, China had been receiving money from the Soviet Union because they signed the Treaty of Friendship, Alliance and Mutual Assistance. This money allowed China to start to actually modernize its industries. Mao’s Five Year Plan’s main goal was to create better industry but also create more and better production of steel, coal, and iron. TO achieve these goals factories and mines were given specific goals to achieve and if they did not meet these goals, the factory believed they were failing its own people. Because of Mao’s Plan, the economic growth rose and most of the goals set were accomplished. The only problem was that the success of it was because there were a lot of Soviet Union advisers that helped China through the Plan.
In the early nineteen sixties, John Fitzgerald Kennedy held the position as president of the United States. President Kennedy was very popular among the people, but because of his extreme principles and policies, Kennedy had some critics, however. President Kennedy became a strong ruler of America in the sixties, which made individuals worried. As for one man named Lee Harvey Oswald, he thought the same. Oswald, an ex-military sharpshooter, had a plan of his own for Kennedy.
Chiang Kai Shek is remarkable figure that had left a great legacy for the people to learn from. Scholars may criticize and be oppose of Chiang’s tactics and views, but he should not be the one to be blamed for everything that had happened in China. As of failing to take hold of all China during the civil war, it was partly because United States decided to stop providing support to the nationalist party and gave up on the civil war. He should be remembered as the leader who fought out the warlords and unified China. Without Chiang there would not have been democracy in Taiwan, the island would have been in the hands of Mao and the communist party. Therefore most importantly, he should be considered the leader of democracy that established the path for Taiwan to develop on.
A leader who is feared does not have a sincere relationship with people unlike love enables a mutual relationship between the people and their leader. When you are feared, people will avoid any negative consequences. Nevertheless, when you are loved, people will adore your loyalty
Lao Tzu is qualified as two different things. Lao Tzu the man and Lao Tzu the book. Lao Tzu the man is who people believe wrote the book which they believe the real name is Li Tan.
