Disobedience pumps within our blood traveling through our veins leading to our hearts. As the amazing Irish writer Oscar Wilde once said “Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through disobedience that progress has been made, through disobedience and through rebellion.” without disobedience we has people will never experience the drive of fighting for what we believe in. Numerous accomplishments were achieved through disobedience, it is due to people such as Martin Luther King, Malala Yousafzai, and Soujner Truth fighting for their beliefs and going against all odds that lead us to where we are today. A women who fought and overcame multiple obstacles but persevered due to disobedience is Malala Yousafzai. Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by Taliban in Pakistan for utilizing her voice to stand up for women education. Even though she was shot Ms. Yousafzai recovered from her injury only to purse her cause even more, for her close call with death fueled her to bring even more attention to the problem at hand. Without disobedience fueling Malala Yousafzai to overcome the wound inflicted by the Taliban she wouldn't have won a noble peace prize as well as come out with a book and movie to further expand her movement. The famous speech "Anit I a women" given by Sojourner Truth an African American women's right activist and abolitionist is a prime example of someone who lost faith within herself but believed in disobedience. Prior to becoming a women rights activist Ms. Truth was raped numerous times by her slave holder before finally escaping and later on assisting others in escaping and fighting for women rights mainly for African American women who were slaves. Sojourner Truth fought for the African American women slaves, for more often than thought they were raped by their slave owners and left neglected afterwards. It is due to incidents like this the fueled Ms. Truth into believing herself and overcoming her rape experience allowing her to fight for women rights as well as gender equality which is what her famous speech "Anit I a women" hits upon. It is due to the experience of disobedience that leads us to the drive of fighting for what we believe
