This MacBook Pro is very easy on the eyes. From it's all metal body to its brilliant screen this math does not disappoint. When you first take this MacBook out of it's box first thing you'll notice is it's all metal body. It's cool to the touch and also extremely smooth. This cannot be said for other laptops which have plastic bodies and feel more like kids toys then A laptop for a mature user. It's all nobody is also not just for show. It is far less likely to crack the plastic and it is the laptop A very sturdy aura. Of course as it name suggests, the screen is for lack of a better word eye-catching. It has the resolution of 2560 x 1600. At this resolution, text is crisp and when viewing photos it's as if you could reach and touch the objects themselves. Do keep in mind that high-resolution screens are becoming more of a trend. This means that the MacBook is not the only one with a higher resolution screen. Moving away from the screen and looking at the big picture, it will become very obvious have a MacBook Pro with display is amazingly thin. It comes in at 0.71 by 12.35 by 8.62 inches. With its amazingly thin body, the MacBook Pro with retina display is extremely portable. It only weighs 3.38 pounds. This means that if you're a student you won't break your back going from classroom to classroom. If you are a businessman or woman, you can work on your important projects on the go. Another feature that makes this laptop so portable is iCloud. With the service that comes with your Mac, you can save your documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, and images into the cloud and have access to them wherever you go. This kind of service is offered with other laptops but it is not natively integrated with the system as with the MacBook Pro. If you also have an iPhone this means that your MacBook and your phone are intimately connected. The MacBook Pro with a display has a hard drive that is 128 GB of storage. At first it might not seem like A lot of storage, but for a student or a business person who is dealing with documents and presentations it is plenty of storage. Plus, with a cloud you can store your more Data hogging items in the cloud instead of on your laptop's hard drive. It really comes down to whether you want portability or stellar
Macintosh at about the same price as a PC that has about the same things. This
Today´s society is filled with people that only care about money and a person's profession when it comes to valuing an individual's life. Many people think that having a lot of money, college degrees, and working for a top notch business or company defines who they are, but what about the people who may not be successful in the world's view, but are happy because they are doing what they love to do ? Steve Jobs gave a commencement speech at Stanford University, in 2005, advising the graduates to follow their passions and not to listen to other people's advice about what is valuable or not. He also advised them not to waste their time living someone else’s life. Steve Jobs advocates for individuals to have the bravery to follow your
These Apple products including the Mac are not only regular gadgets for use at home but they have also made its mark even in school grounds and workplaces for the company that created it made sure it’s also appealing to students and businessmen.
The computer obsession began when the first computer was built in 1939. There are many uses of a computer like the proper way and the negative way. The way Annalee Newitz uses her computer is good and bad. The definition of a good teaching tool is the best way to teach a class or something that is taught. Using a good teaching tool is not always easy. There are many things about computers who make people depend or use too much to stop depending on technology.
In todays fast-paced society there has been an increased demand for resources to be more accessible. This demand has created the trend of devices, such as laptops, to become more and more portable. A good example of portability would be the way the way desktops evolved into bulky laptops, and then laptops into smartphones and tablets. What makes the MacBook Air more portable than most is it’s small design, long battery life, and with it being lightweight. Other laptops by Apple, like the Macbook Pro, weighing about 5 pounds don’t come close to being as lightweight as the Air. When MacBook Air was released in 2008 it was introduced as the world’s thinnest laptop coming in at 0.68 inches and weighing only 2.38 pounds. Compared to other laptops the only other device that comes close would be ...
“No Laptops, please” by Robert McClellan discussed his views on laptop use in college classrooms. He believes that laptops should be banned in the classroom setting. He then goes into depth on how laptops can be a distraction to others. Also he mentions how laptops can cause a disconnect between him and his students. Following such he addresses how students can miss important information, by typing notes on a computer. Which then lead to him raising the question of whether they were actually taking notes, or not. I think that laptops should be banned in college classrooms as well, because they can easily attract the eyes of others, allow for students to lose focus and create a division between the class and the professor.
All might think that a PC is awesome, but is not called Windows for nothing. When they say Windows they mean Windows. Macintosh has been known for it’s simplicity. Windows users say Mac has no games. I say to them there are games, but if you want to “play games” get a game system. Macs give a new vision in the computer industry.
Apple was definitely “thinking different” when it created the new addition to the Macintosh family, the iMac. It’s creative design and refreshing departure from the computer industry standard of boring beige boxes is gaining this marvel many optimistic reviews. This new personal computer, which is pronounced eye-Mac –the “i” stands for Internet, combines the computer and the monitor in one unit making it, in effect, an updated version of the original one-piece Macintosh. That makes the iMac ideal for people who want to conserve desk space.
The only Mac property clearly recognized by IBM users as better, is their high resolution graphics; all qualified computer artists use Macs to produce more lifelike images. Additionally, in contrast to the IBMs that produce speed exclusively by megahertz, Macintosh has integrated megahertz with another kind of speed to result in the world's fastest commercial computer. Though IBMs copied Macintosh^s point and click system with the introduction of Windows 95, Mac OS remains superior. With a Mac one does not need t! o worry about fighting through information, because there is none.
The recommendations for proper placement of a laptop are having the screen raised to be within eyesight, raising a chair in order for elbows to be parallel or a bit higher than the keyboard, and adjusting the screen to a proper angle to avoid glare and the need to strain the neck to see. It was also suggested that a lap top be placed on something stable like a table or laptop stand. Along with that suggestion was to keep the screen clean to prevent eye strain.
Size is one of the major concerns for people who want to buy a computer. A notebook/laptop tends to be smaller than a desktop computer. This makes the notebook more convenient to use than a desktop computer. Because of the size, the components, which are built inside a notebook, are relatively small as well. Components of a computer consist of: microprocessor, memory, disk drivers, motherboard, sound card, input/output port, and power supply. Moreover, notebooks seem to be lighter than desktop computers. This also makes a very difference for the users. A notebook's weight will be about 10 pounds or less. Because of this weight, notebook can be brought anywhere easily. Many people use notebooks for business purposes so they can bring their notebook everywhere.
...text files and spreadsheets, cloud storage will be very beneficial. Using it as backup for these types of files is a major plus. Internet connection speed is not an issue and almost anyone has easy access to the files.
This particular computer also intrigued me because of its processor. The processor is a common one, an Intel Pentium 4. I like that Sony decided to stick with Intel, since they are an American brand. The exact processor they used is the Intel Pentium 4 3.6Ghz 560J with HT Technology. The Hyper threading technology is very helpful and I’m glad they decided to use it because it really makes multi-tasking even with complex software faster and more efficient and significantly cuts down on the lag. The 3.6 Gigahertz processor is very very fast and can handle even the most multifaceted functions. The bus speed is also very impressive coming out with a total of 800 solid Megahertz’s. This is an extremely fast bus speed considering it only has one successor the 1066 Mhz speed.
Among the four laptops that I analyzed, I only personally knew two of the owners. Knowing these owners and not the other two, allowed me to observe their laptops differently. This is because the forms of writing that I saw on my friends’ laptop cases and skins were somewhat predictable based on what I already knew about them and their interests. However, the forms of writing and designs that I analyzed of the people that I
