Lung cancer is the most common cancer in the world. There are many ways to attract lung cancer. Many people think that the only way to get cancer is by being a smoker but believe it or not you can get cancer without ever even smoking a cigarette. There also are different forms of lung cancer some are life threatening and others aren’t. My goal is for you to know everything about and or dealing with Lung Cancer by the end of this paper. Throughout this paper I will elaborate on those topics and I will also talk about some of the symptoms, and ways to prevent attracting it, cures and a few more topics. The disease I decided to do my research paper on was lung cancer. Lung cancer is the most common cancer of them all. It also is the lead killer out of all the cancers also. Lung cancer was very uncommon prior to cigarettes coming on the scene. In 1761 is when lung cancer started to be considered a distinct disease. This is around the time when it started to become a great demand in silver which had to be mined. There are so many different chemicals in the ground that will do damage to your body especially the lungs the main chemical is uranium, it is also accompanied by radium and radon gas. The miners started to receive lung disease which was later recognized as lung cancer. This is when doctors started to see patterns in the deaths of the mine workers during their autopsy. This is around the 1870’s is when lung cancer started to become more known and more people started to attract it. I’m pretty sure that you can assume what has just been made big around this time. Cigarettes is the answers this is when people started to smoke cigarettes heavy which instantly made a huge difference in the percentage of people with lung cancer and ... ... middle of paper ... ...he risk is by stopping all together it doesn’t matter what age you decide to stop smoking it is all ways going to make a significant drop in your chances to attract lung cancer. This paper has honestly given me a pre-college feeling. I can honestly say that I’m glad I was given this assignment because I would have never thought I would have the ability to write a ten page paper especially in APA format. It also wasn’t as hard as I thought it would have been although it was very time consuming. As my parents always say hard work pays off and I know this only a taste of the college lifestyle that I was given the opportunity to try out earlier than most would be able to. I want to conclude this paper by saying I hope it was very informative and taught you all there is to know about lung cancer and all the cures out that they have to help those with this deadly disease.
