Loyalty is like a white lion, it is very rare; and if a person is ever lucky enough to find it hold on to because loyalty helps crates a bond that can last a life time. Loyalty is a concept that is clarified in different ways from many points of views. Loyalty is associated with other expression such as commitment, love, and dependability. Loyalty goes beyond more than just one area of one’s life and is important quality to have when it comes to family, friends, and relationships. Loyalty is love which is a concept that starts with family, growing up in a home with two older sisters’ loyalty was a must; although I was the baby of the three my loyalty was and still is strong with them. I can remember one time my mom was away at work she left my oldest sister Keila in charge, and she and my middle sister had just gotten new bikes. We wanted to ride them but we were told by my mom “don’t go out that door and I am not playing” but my sister Tosha really, really wanted to ride her bike, so she decided that she would sneak the bike out the back door because we had an aunt that lived a crossed the street, so she thought will just ride it in the backyard no one will ever know, or so she thought. But for some reason, our mom came home early; we could hear the car pull up so she trying so hard to get in the house before she does that she jumps off her bike and leaves it, eventually mama go outside to feed the dog and now want to know who took the bike outside. However, because of our code of silence we all took the whopping that’s just one of many examples of what loyalty is in my family; loyalty in my family is having each other’s back no matter what, right or wrong, we ride for one another because the love we share is never-ending. Not only is loyalty needed in family, it is also a very important aspect to have when it comes to friendship. Loyalty is …show more content…
Our loyalty to one another has never been a question, even in times when we have gotten mad with one another and went days, and even weeks without talking. An example of this is that years ago my best friend and I had this big disagreement about something she had done that I felt put the two us in a situation that could have cost us big. Of course when it happened I had her back because that’s my friend but when it was all over said and done I called her on being wrong and she didn’t agree and before I know it, there was a big argument and we didn’t talk for almost 4 months without talking until one Tuesday evening. while I was out-of-town she called me crying saying her mother, whom I also had called mom for years had passed away. My heart dropped and all I wanted to do was be there for my friend. The argument, disagreement, or time we had spent apart no longer matter all that mattered was that she needed me, so I quickly packed my things a drove five hours’ home to be with her in the time of

Is loyalty important to everyone? How important to you? Does it affect your friendships? In Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini loyalty is one of the themes that is explored, it is shown three times through the phrase “For you a thousand times over”. “For you a thousand times over” is said three times, once Hassan to Amir, Farid to Amir, and then finally Amir to Sohrab. Each time this is said it represents a loyalty and who the loyalty is towards
Loyalty is like glue, since it keeps the camaraderie in a relationship intact. If someone breaks the loyalty, then that trust and camaraderie are damaged as well. But yet, one can remain loyal without sacrificing one’s needs or desires. Examples of this have often appeared in modern day literature. For example, take the Tillerman siblings from Cynthia Voigt’s novel, “Homecoming.” In this novel, the oldest sibling, Dicey, has to take care of her three younger siblings after their mother deserted them in a mall parking lot. In addition, Dicey has to lead her siblings to her aunt’s home in Bridgeport, Connecticut, which is well over 60 miles away. At the beginning of the book, I believed that Dicey had to sacrifice everything she loved to keep her siblings close and together. But, as the novel goes on, you see that Dicey did not have to give up as much, since the one thing Dicey treasured the most was her family. Sure, they did make her mad and annoyed at times, but she loved them, and all she wanted was to keep them safe. Her love is what made her so allegiant toward getting to Aunt Cilla’s home. A similar situation applied for the siblings. Sammy, the youngest child, was a real, “mama’s boy.” You can tell that when their mother left them, he was the child that was in denial for a while. “Go on, because nobody cares about me except Momma, and Momma will come find me but she won’t find you, so you ahead (Pg 41).” But eventually Sammy finally admitted that Momma was gone, and that made his loyalty to Dicey even stronger. He fished, cared, and even stole so his family would be safe. In this example, loyalty kept the Tillerman siblings close together. But, even in a more futuristic, fictional story, this concept exists.
Loyalty can be expressed in many ways whether it be by doing anything for someone else or just being very trustworthy person overall.
Loyalty is a hard quality to find in a friend, so once loyalty is found that friend is usually in it for life. Faraway friends are the ones we find ourselves turning to in our darkest hour of need and the ones that we would step into battle with. Marion Winik perfectly explains the importance
Throughout the year, there have been multiple values portrayed throughout the numerous characters we have read about. Out of the many values, loyalty has been the most expressed. Loyalty has also been a value that supports and expands the story's theme. As an example, Of Mice and Men has a theme of how strength and opportunity can change a person, not always for the good. Therfore because Lennie is loyal to George, the amount of power and opportunities that George gains puts him in a rough situation, changing him for better or worse. The three main characters that showed the most loyalty are Boxer, Lennie, and Antigone. Each character distinguishes loyalty at different times and in different ways, however these characters are best defined as loyal.
Loyalty is one of the only things that can hold the bonds of family and friends.
Loyalty is defined as a strong feeling of support or allegiance. I agree fully with this definition. Being loyal is one of the most important of th...
Family, a group consisting of parents and children living together in a household. Although family is a concretely defined term, the idea of family varies from person to person. But, what makes a family? For those who are surrounded by loving blood relatives, for those who have never known the one to grant them life, for those who have left their blood behind for a more loving and nurturing environment, what can commonly define a family? Family is something defined by the individual. Family includes those who you have come to love, whether platonically or romantically, those you have suffered with, those you have come to respect, and most importantly those you have cared for and in turn have cared for you. To one that could mean people who
Our lives have changed in opposite ways of each other. I still communicate with my friend Celsanaid, but I rarely see her anymore. Due to proximity and our goals we are two very different people now. She make decisions that she thinks are beneficial to her in order to get where she needs to be in life. But, in contrast I do not agree with her decisions that she makes and that causes us to have two different perceptions on life which honestly causes me to stay away from her more. My friend Kilee used to bring my companionship, but once she moved to Arizona, she started making some really poor decisions, to where I decided to cut all ties with her. My relationship with my boyfriend Blake formed to due attractiveness of one another, proximity, our human needs, companionship and we have the same life goals. We went to highschool together all four years, live only 10 minutes apart, both work and support ourselves, and want to have a happy, healthy life together. There are many other aspects as to why our relationship has lasted this long, but these are the main
For my research topic I chose to write on the effects of expectation. The expectations of one’s family and one’s self can have a major influence on his/ her life. When some tries to live up to a high expectation it can cause the individual a great deal of stress. Therefore, the question the question I am researching is “Should family members- parents, grandparent, aunts or uncles- set high educational, relational, and moral expectations for their children?” In order to find information on this topic I acquired two articles from the University of South Carolina Library website. The first article is titled “High expectations for higher education perceptions of college and experiences of stress prior to and through college career.” This article
How can a simple six letter word be so complicated to define? Family is a single word that is open to many interpretations depending on the individual. If you try to condense this ideal to a single clinical definition you end up excluding numerous members of society. What comes to mind when you think of the word family? While in the most broken down and literal sense, family means a relative with a blood or legal bond, the word family can encompass blood relations, adoptions, and even intentional relationships such as friendships. Economies, cultures, and backgrounds can further differentiate what one’s perception of a family is. For many people, including me, a family is so much more. It is the amount of commitment, cohesiveness, and importance
Everyone seems to define family differently, however, the significance of family is the same. For you, family means everything. You can always count on your parents and siblings for help and love. Family is very valuable and important to you and should never be taken for granted. No one can deny that family is the foundation of our generation. A family is where we all start our life journey and helps us grow to be successful throughout our lives.
Family is the important base to the entire of human in their life. There are several principles of moral and ethics that should be applied in family. Firstly, it’s all about love among the family members. Love is an emotion that felt by an individual which is unconditionally given by one individual to another individual. Secondly, giving and receiving among the family members. Giving and receiving make the love flows highly in family whereas giving is an ethics that should been applied among family members. Giving something without expect anything shows the unselfishness of love. Third principle is thoughts, words and deeds. Thoughts, words and deeds should consider carefully because it has its own consequences. The action must be ethical because it could hurt other family members if it’s unethical which could destroy the relationship among each of the family members. Another principle is present reality and future potential. Every of the family members work should be in progress because it’s important to them to help their family members to be safe and supportive.
There are so many different types of family relationships. Whatever form a family takes; it is an important part of everyone’s life. My family has played an important role in my life. Good family relationships serve as a foundation to interactions with others. Supportive families will help children to thrive. The quality of the family relationship is more important than the size of the family. Making the relationships priority, communication, and providing support for one another is key to developing relationships. Family relationships are what make up our world today; they shape the ways that we see things and the ways that we do things.
