Lord Capulet is a confident, quick-to-anger person. Many readers might think he is an evil father who treats his daughter horribly, but he is just looking out for her and wants the best for Juliet, Lord Capulet is a character in the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. Lord Capulet is a protective father looking out for his beautiful daughter Juliet. Capulet, the day that Juliet died, was the day he realized that he needed to stop feuding with the Montagues and be a respectful human being. Lord Capulet is the father of Juliet, who is the main character in the book. Juliet goes against her family's decisions and decides she wants to be with Montague. In the middle, Lord Capulet is at their palace waiting for Juliet to return, but doesn’t know where she is. At the end of the book, they see that Juliet and Romeo are dead, and Friar Lawrence tells everything that he did in secret. Both of the families realize how much the feud impacted their children, which made them do this. The families decided to shake hands to end the feud and come together to put a gold statue in the middle of town for their children. While reading, Lord Capulet responds in a different way than you expect from his daughter dying, in a very tragic and unexpected way. Lord Capulet seems to not have a good reaction to how everybody in the family is reacting, his only daughter dying because she wanted to die with her true love Romeo. Lord Capulet did not act well. “Ha, let me see her! Out, alas, she’s cold. Life and these lips have long been separated. Lord Capulet did not know how to react to some of things Friar Lawrence kept in secret but he reacted very well to putting the feud aside to make Romeo and Juliet known in the town, by putting their differences past them and coming together to make the town better. I connected with Lord Capulet because I am a very confident and outgoing person, just like Lord Capulet. Like Lord Capulet struggled with his daughter’s death, that is how I was when my great grandma Armetta passed, it was hard for me to adjust to things just like Lord Capulet did to process things. Gratefully, I don’t have any children to worry about dying and having to be scared or sad about losing somebody that I birthed and was with my whole life and raised them every day of their life. I can relate to him the most because of the struggles he has gone through, our personalities are very similar because we both get angry very easily and our confidence in our decisions and how we react to things is very similar.
