Sherwood
When looking into any school a parent will be concerned with their child’s safety and academic success. Looking into Christian schools allows a parent to have a bigger say in the morals, knowledge, and experiences that their child will walk away with.
Shared Values
Does the school share your mission as a Christian? Children spend an average of eight hours per day five days a week at school. These influential hours should be expanding and encouraging the values that you are expressing at home. Check that the instructors are modeling the behaviors and beliefs that you teach at home. Teachers should love and fear the Lord and those values will be reflected in their classrooms. The

Make sure that you feel these commandments are being encouraged and lived out by the school’s educators. Some of the other specific values that parents look for in a Christian School include: glorifying God, pursuing personal holiness, honesty, servanthood, forgiveness, faithfulness, and obedience.
Christian Curriculum
Deuteronomy 11 says to “teach [the Laws of Moses] to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” In every aspect of life, we are to continue to teach the laws and the scripture of the Bible. This applies to a school’s curriculum as well. Students should be taught how to apply the truths in scripture to their everyday lives. They should be taught Bible stories and Christian history. The opportunity for Chapel encourages students to memorize scriptures and learn worship music.
Look for a school with a lower staff to student ratio. Schools with lower classroom numbers provide increased opportunities for individualized attention which leads to greater academic achievement. If continuing education is important to you and your child, check with the school on their rate of students who go on to pursue a college or university education. Christian schools tend to have better rates of continued education than public
California school with about 1,000 students) I learned a lot about how religion is taught and how religious issues are handled. Raised in a Christian home, having my father teaching at the same school I attended, and practicing Christianity my entire life, I watched carefully throughout my high school education to see how my teachers would deal with the world and U.S. religions that play an enormous role in the history of our world and country.
Many people have a favorite Disney princess, but Cinderella happens to be a fan favorite. Of course, their preference is based on the move itself. However, if that was the case, then shouldn’t there be another Disney princess that takes Cinderella’s place? Princess Tiana is a fan favorite. Princess Tiana should be a fan favorite due to the fact that she has a realistic goal that she worked hard for and she is very relatable.

Many of us have never heard about homeschooling so we may ask, “What is homeschooling”? Other questions that come up regarding homeschooling are, “How is homeschooling better than the public schools that we are offered”? “Will students obtain a better education through homeschooling”? There are many questions regarding homeschooling and public school. Homeschooling is an option parents can choose, if they want to teach their children at home and follow a Christian curriculum. There is no start time for school; it is done on your own schedule. Usually the schedule is early, but it can be in the afternoon. Each child has to work at their grade level. But remember you as a parent are solely responsible for providing the curriculum and instruction to your child and are also responsible for his goals.
What is Christianity and why has it been able to develop into a continuously growing and evolving religion?
The following essay will evaluate the importance of the journey that takes place from Systematic to Practical theology; this view will be explored through Ronelle Sonnenberg’s research done regarding ‘being together’ in a youth setting. This essay will first build on the basis of Practical Theology; furthermore addressing the importance of the community aspect within a youth setting; this will lead to the process that takes place between a Systematic stance, leading to a Practical theological stance.
It may seem a little bit strange, but my favorite place in town in none other than this beautiful Evangelic Church. However, it wasn’t always so.
The shepherd and sheep relationship is the best illustration for the relationship between pastor and parishioners. When Jesus asked Simon Peter does he love him three times and said to him “Feed my sheep”, the shepherd and flock relationship has been set. Since Jesus is our good shepherd (Jn. 10:11a), he laid out a good example for us to follow - to lay down his life for the sheep. (Jn. 10:11b) Thus, the wellness of both in and out of the parishioners should always be the concern in the pastors’ hearts. Soul care for the people is essential. Christian friendship is the foundation of Christian soul care. Pastoral ministry including preaching, teaching, and worship forms the broad context of pastoral counseling. Pastoral care is within pastoral ministry but broader than pastoral counseling. God’s love is the source and motivation. Within the pastoral care, there are spiritual direction and pastoral
The main participants of the Sermon on the Mount were Jesus and his disciples. With various sayings that we have come to see and hear in everyday life, this is probably the best part of the teachings of Jesus. It may be known by many, but it can also be categorized as being widely misunderstood by most and is not always the portion that is observed in its entirety. The teachings Jesus is teaching to disciples are organized into verses. The major theme of the teaching involves moral teachings concerning the people who are blessed where he explains their rewards.
Teachers must create lessons to inspire their students to think and make decisions based on God 's principles. The school should foster an environment where the students realize what Christ has done for them and give them the desire to see others come to know Christ as their Savior. A good way to make this happen is to create diverse learning opportunities where students can learn about other cultures and environments where missionaries are working to reach people for the Lord. Basically, the purpose of Christian education is directing the process of human development toward godliness of character and action.
Have you heard the old adage, “It takes a village to raise a child?” Even in today’s busy world where villages are almost nonexistent and neighborhoods aren’t as closely knit as they once were, this saying holds true. The same principle applies to your child’s education—it takes more than a good school to educate children, just as takes more than a good home to make children well adjusted. It takes community, teachers, and it takes YOU!
the school should be disrespectful of the important role religion plays for many students. Courts
There are several ways one can be faithful to God. The most important aspect of being faithful to God is to have faith in that fact that all things will work out for one 's good. Romans 8:28 states, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Having faith in God is essential. Why would one serve God and not think that God has his best interest at heart? The next thing one should do to be faithful to God is to read His word and live by it. This means not just reading the Word of God but, also implementing the teachings of His word in one 's daily life. Avoiding temptation is included in implementing God 's word. Matthew 26:41 states, “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” One should also implement prayer in his daily life. This prayer does not have to be about
A pastor has a great responsibility to minister the Word of God and to be a shepherd to his people. The pastor must be committed to biblical truths when he engages the work of the ministry. Some of these truths include: The Bible is the infallible Word of God, his preaching must be from the Word of God, and he must do proper exegesis to get to the authorial intent and proclaim that to his congregation.
