Introduction
According to Bauer T. and Erdogan B. (n.d.), “locus of control is a measure of the degree to which people feel accountable for their own behaviors. Individuals with high internal locus of control believe that they control their own destiny and what happens to them is their own doing, while those with high external locus of control feel that things happen to them because of other people, luck, or a powerful being.” For this paper, I firstly completed the Locus of control test from the link provided, secondly I considered the score I received from the test and defined what it means, and finally described how to impact the Locus of control on my success in the degree program I currently pursue at the University of the People.

I tend to interpret my success as a result of my skills, intelligence, nice personality, etc. rarely attributing it to external factors such as luck, ease of task, or other people’s help. As a result, I am able to take the credit I deserve. My self-esteem, motivation, and general well-being certainly benefit from this orientation. (Locus of

How to impact my Locus of control on my success in the degree program I currently pursue at the University of the People
I would like to describe now how my internal locus of control strongly impact on my success in the degree program I currently pursue at the University of the People (UoPeople).
Because of being a person with high internal locus of control, I absolutely believe that I can control my own destiny and what happens to me is my own doing. I am sure that I can pass all courses provided at the UoPeople with highest grades if I try the best not concern with any external factors such as luck, ease of assigned course works, or other people’s

I normally assumed that I can make sure my own studying plan to be a graduate of UoPeople within four years. Nothing other external factors can interfere to decrease or reduce my motivation level. I am sure I can do it.
LOCUS OF CONTROL & ATTRIBUTIONAL STYLE TEST 4
Even if I had to face any difficulties in my studying process, I generally assumed that this is just because of me. I absolutely believe that, if I handle it efficiently, I can overcome it soon.
Sometimes, I had to face being very lack of time to complete my course works in time. At that time, I never blame other people or things. I always assumed that this is merely because of being lack of my time management. I usually tend to encourage myself, if I manage my time properly,
I will never ever experience it again. (Locus of Control Test Result from Queendom.com - the land of tests, n.d.)
Because of above reasons, I am certainly sure that my internal locus of control orientation style strongly impact on my success in the degree program I currently pursue at the University of the People (UoPeople).
Conclusions
In brief, I totally agree with the result of the Locus of control test from the link provided, I

Determination Generates Success Many people believe that students that encounter hard lives will commit academic sins. However, many professionals that successfully graduated college while having struggles in their lives, proved otherwise. In fact, Culpepper mentioned in his composition, “The Myth of Inferiority”, students might succeed in any academic institution, even if they experience hard lives (330). Also, he states that students with light loaded routines have the same chances to fail in college (330).
Success in life is related to the achievement of individual goals, short and long term. Success has historically been related to the measurable cognitive functions such as IQ and talent. However in more modern time’s there has been a shift towards the idea that developmental non-cognitive factors, such as grit and self-control, may have an impact on the level of success that an individual achieves. Non-cognitive factors such as grit and self-control are somewhat related but also distinct from one another, they may have an important connection to levels of success throughout the stages of life from childhood to adulthood.
So when at work or at a party you have to ultimately make a choice. At work, you can choose to do poorly because you think your work will be overlooked resulting in an external locus of control or work hard because you think you determine the results of your work, which is an internal locus of control. Same situation different scenario, with your personal life. For example, you can choose to be quiet and talk to no one at a party because they choose to be alone. They make a difference by sparking up a conversation with someone they know or someone
Nearly everyone in the modern world has heard of the term self-control, a seemingly non-important or uninteresting topic of interest. However, self-control has been related to having one of the most significant impacts on a person. Even some have gone as far to say that self-control is the “biggest predictor of a successful and satisfying life” (Pinker 1), which are bold words for a topic that many merely disregard. The idea of self-control is a concept coined in the Victorian era, and appears immensely throughout the novel, Willpower: Rediscovering the Greatest Human Strength, written by R.F. Baumeister & J. Tierney. Essentially a self-help book, ‘Willpower’ provides explanations for why humans are doing the things that they do, and why people aren’t always as virtuous as they may be expected to be. Self-control affects many facets of a person’s life, and by looking at how it is presented in psychology, and in Baumeister and Tierney’s novel, Willpower: Rediscovering the Greatest Human Strength, one will see the correlations and differences between modern research and historical perspectives on the idea of self-control, and ultimately decide if the idea of self-control is an inherent trait or a learned condition.
According to the LSI information provided, when your achievement score is greater and the humanistic-encouraging and affiliative scores are less, a concern for task accomplishment will diminish a concern need for others. Evidently this imbalance is reducing my overall effectiveness. When I put this under my microscope, I find that this charact...
Power-control theory of crime combines Marxist conflict theory, social control theory and feminism and was theorized by Canadian criminologist, John Hagan. A prominent theme throughout the power-control theory is that social power in society is predominantly patriarchal, or male dominated.
I write this clear and concise reflection to identify and evaluate an academic problem that I feel is negatively impacting my studies which is time management; otherwise, I find lot of difficulty to manage my time.
If they get a bad grade on their test, it’s most likely they’ll brush it off as bad luck—or they’ll blame the teacher for making the questions too hard. These types of people are very different from one another in many ways. While a person with an internal locus of control takes their mistakes and owns them, a person with an external locus of control has a hard time believing that what they did was in error. This is all just speaking in a school setting, though! Speaking of a school setting, why would a locus of control be important to the success of students?
After completing the assessment exercise I have been able to carefully my personality. The exercise consisted of an evaluation of four areas: Locus of Control, Personality Type, Stress Reactions, and Learning Styles.
The importance of professed control lies in things on subjective well-being. Professed control improves a person's valuation of the controllable of a formal to provoke the important coping strategy. A location can be evaluated as frightening if one observes a lack of switch over the condition and stimulating if the individual observes the stress as manageable. A psychologically good can be predictable to have positive boldness to the self and others, stretch and receive provision, have the aptitude to build innocent families, and committed to continual self-development. Multicultural studies narrate a philosophy with single or additional other values.

Being in Control: most people like me will study computer science because of the feeling that you are in control, so whatever I do I need to be careful or else creating a problem, or the fact that I want to start a business, and make my employees know that I know what I am doing and not just hiring people to do the work for me.
Success is something individuals aim for through all stages of life. Succeeding at university may entail passing courses, achieving learning goals and consequently graduating, while gaining some experience and exposure. At work, success could take a different form of gaining a job, accomplishing goals, and seeking promotions. While the definition of success may differ for university students and employees at an organisation, the basic principles and skills required are very similar. Individuals require both intrapersonal and interpersonal perception in order to achieve success, whether at university or work. Skills such as self-regulation, self-monitoring, implementing goals and strategies to achieve those goals, as well as harnessing good communication skills and formal relationships are key factors to success. It is with these perceptions that individuals can gain skills that can help overcome barriers to succeed.
