Don’t take our word for it - see why 10 million students trust us with their essay needs.
WHY STUDENTS CHOOSE TO STUDY COMPUTER SCIENCE Introduction Computer Science is the study of Computer theory, experimentation, designs and engineering. Studying computer science has always been my dream. From the first time I sat in front of a computer, I have always wanted to know how computer work, how software could make hardware do what it does, I did research and discovered a lot about computer science. With what I found about computer and the opportunities I holds I decided to study it and hopefully make a career or a business out of it . There are several reasons that make people study Computer science. Some of these reasons are outline below: 1. The World Turning Digital: computer is seen in virtually all aspects of our lives. From the mobile phones we use, the Television we watch etc. Makes it pretty interesting to found out how this work. 2. Excellent Graduate Prospect and Salary: It is no longer news that …show more content…
Being in Control: most people like me will study computer science because of the feeling that you are in control, so whatever I do I need to be careful or else creating a problem, or the fact that I want to start a business, and make my employees know that I know what I am doing and not just hiring people to do the work for me. 6. Earn while studying: you will agree with me that there are several jobs out there that require Computer Science student not necessarily because they have graduated but because they could do the job as student. Jobs ranging from web programming, software writing (which one can do after finishing Python programming language of CS1101 without necessarily finishing a bachelor or an associate degree) etc. Some of the place one can find these jobs are www.freelancer.com, www.upwork.com etc. 7. Logic and Problem Solving: some people study Computer Science just because they feel that they could matter (fame) and think like Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Charles Babbage, Michael Faraday, Bill Gate when they study Computer
However, your job search shouldn't begin when you graduate. Career planning and preparation should occur throughout your college studies. You do not need to settle on one area to pursue right away, and you can change directions. But be sure to prepare for the long run — for your lifelong career or multiple careers. There is a myth that if you have a college degree, you have a job. The fact is that it takes the average college graduate three to six months to secure employment after graduation. You need a career-seeking strategy and a little experience. Otherwise, you're likely to be just another resume in a stack of hundreds. As a future employee, a college student with a disability faces unique challenges. Like other students, you need to find a way to meet the specific qualifications of the desired job. You also need to demonstrate that you have transferable skills — in other words, skills you've acquired through education and previous work experiences. Transferable skills include communication, trouble shooting, decision making, leadership, and problem solving. These are some of the skills that cross jobs, careers, and industries. Opportunities to acquire these skills are available on campuses nationwide.
It is said that most people perceive post-secondary education to not be important as it actually is. College graduates have the advantage of being able to have a better chance of having a quality life (study.com). A girl named Savita Doke from Mumbai, India got her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science by working hard. Despite the fact that Doke was extremely poor she still worked every night at her job in order to pay for her schooling. After she graduated from college she was able to get a well-paying job to support her family financially. Savita said her most important life goal was reached (DNAIndia, 2015). Although, Adam Ozimek believes people can get good paying jobs without having to go to college. Ozimek stated
I am applying for the course of Computer Science because I would like to increase my knowledge of this subject. I hope that in the future I will be able to create applications for computers that will help people to save time and money.
If the nineteenth century was an era of the Industrial revolution in Europe, I would say that computers and Information Technology have dominated since the twentieth century. The world today is a void without computers, be it healthcare, commerce or any other field, the industry won’t thrive without Information Technology and Computer Science. This ever-growing field of technology has aroused interest in me since my childhood. After my twelfth grade, the inherent ardor I held for Computer Science motivated me to do a bachelors degree in Information Technology. Programming and Math, a paragon of logic and reasoning, have always been my favorite subjects since childhood.
Right now I have a fairly accurate idea concerning what I want to do with my life. My love for computers has taken me a long way and I have a strong feeling that I will continue in the field of computer science. Yet, I am also aware that I may change my mind several times before I begin a career. College will introduce me to new and various things, and I will develop new interests from this exposure. The world of technology is changing rapidly and computers seem like the best way to go. When I combine that and my love for computers I am almost certain that the field of computer science is right for me.
Computer Science is the study of information and how that information is represented, stored, and manipulated for other purposes. Consider how a personal computer uses an operating system to store, access, and run other programs to view, manipulate, replicate, and share information. That is what computer science is, essentially, it is the backbone of all that is computing.
A fascination for Science & Technology and keen interest in the ever-growing world of technology motivated me to take up engineering. The power of research and delivering it for the growth of Society is what makes me interested in the technology side of science. I choose to major Computer science Engineering with an intense urge to delve into this challenging field. During my under graduation program I learned the various fundamentals of Computer science Engineering which together with practical course works reinforced my interest.
The field of Computer Science is based primarily on computer programing. Programming is the writing of computer programs using letters and numbers to make "code". The average computer programer will write at least a million lines of code in his or her lifetime. But even more important than writting code, a good programer must be able to solve problems and think logicaly.
aspect of our lives, we are faced with computers. They are in our classrooms, cars, and even used
Almost every device has some type of computer in it. Whether it is a cell phone, a calculator, or a vending machine. Even things that we take for granted most cars since the 1980’s have a computer in it or a pacemaker. All of the advancements in computers and technology have led up to the 21st century in which “the greatest advances in computer technology will occur…” Mainly in areas such as “hardware, software, communications and networks, mobile and wireless connectivity, and robotics.”
My interest in Computers dates back to early days of my high school. The field of CS has always fascinated me. The reason for choosing CS stream was not a hasty decision. My interest started developing in the early stage of my life, when I studied about the invention of computers. The transformation from the large size to small palmtops enticed me to know about the factors responsible for making computers, also the electronic gadgets so small.
computer. The electronic computer has been around for over a half-century, but its ancestors have been around for 2000 years. However, only in the last 40 years has it changed the American society. From the first wooden abacus to the latest high-speed microprocessor, the computer has changed nearly every aspect of people’s lives for the
The computer evolution has been an amazing one. There have been astonishing achievements in the computer industry, which dates back almost 2000 years. The earliest existence of the computer dates back to the first century, but the electronic computer has only been around for over a half-century. Throughout the last 40 years computers have changed drastically. They have greatly impacted the American lifestyle. A computer can be found in nearly every business and one out of every two households (Hall, 156). Our Society relies critically on computers for almost all of their daily operations and processes. Only once in a lifetime will a new invention like the computer come about.
Computer technology not only has solved problems but also has created some, including a certain amount of culture shock as individuals attempt to deal with the new technology. A major role of computer science has been to alleviate such problems, mainly by making computer systems cheaper, faster, more reliable, easier to use.
From classroom activities to space flight and everything in between, computers are a vital part of daily life. Everything we do and every aspect of our life is affected by modern technology, like the computers. Computers let us dissect any sort of data. Computers make us reflect, hence we develop. Because of computers and the Internet, we can talk with individuals from diverse nations, and even see them via webcams.
