I chose the topic of regarding solitude because most people do not like to be isolated and alone. They would rather be noticed and have a desire to grab the attention of others. This is an important issue because humanity should not be afraid to show individualism. This essay should inform others that living in solitude is not a terrible idea. Living in solitude can boost your creativity. When you are alone, you clear out distractions. This allows time for reflective thinking and this is a great way for your mind to get creative. Being alone with your thoughts is when you get the “outside-the-box” kind of ideas. Creativity helps to express feelings artistically. Living in solitude can ease depression. Although depression can be a factor for depression, a study in 1997 has shown that solitude is a positive experience. Many teens that were monitored in this case reported that it increased their feelings of well-being afterwards. Solitude is a chance to slow down and rejuvenate. When living without people, school, work, and technology you can take time for yourself. People, school, work, and technology are baggage that you carry around mentally.
