The differences of two countries I was born in the United Sates, but my parents are from Ecuador. When I was 4 years old my mom decided to go back to Ecuador and built our own house, so we can have a place to live. For many years we have been living in Ecuador and I have loved it all the years I have live there I got use to it. I feel more Ecuadorian that American even though i was born here. There is many things that I like of my native country Ecuador. I will love to go back and stay there to live. One thing that I love the must is the weather from Ecuador obviously the city that I grow up that is callsGuayaquil.Guayaquil is a very hot city, is a place where you can go and have a lot of fun. I like it because you can always go out you don’t have to worry if it’s cold or if it going to snow nothings of that, of course there is a time that it is only rain but still people enjoy the rain even in the rain …show more content…
people go out to play soccer or anything they want to do in the rain. Another thing that I like a lot of Ecuador is the transportation. Even though we don’t have train station in Ecuador we get to the places where we want to go fast. We use the bus, the bus will take you exactly where you want to go and you don’t have to walk, the good thing that you get to place very fast, and if you miss the bus it will be another bus that will come in 5 minutes. There are a lot of busses in Ecuador that will take you exactly where you want to go and you will be always in time. What I don’t like of the city that I live in Ecuador is that there are many criminals, gangs, and thief.
You feel insecure going out to the street or going shopping or going out to the mall or any place you want to go out with your friends and family. If you want to go out you will always have to be alert and you don’t have to wear anything expensive because they will notice it and they will try to take it from you and if you try to force it the will try to kill you and the worst part is that every time something like this happen there is no cops to help you. But thank god that everything has change now. What I hate the most of Ecuador is the education discrimination. In Ecuador there are a lot of public school and private school. People that go to the public school are the person that can’t afford to pay for private school it doesn’t mean that they are not smart. When you are trying to find and job and they call for the interview the first thing they want to see is from what type of school you come from, they don’t care if you are smart or anything like
that. When I came back to the united state I was very happy because I came here to make my own life, I came because the education in this country is very good but it is also expensive but not that much as it is in Ecuador. I think every person that comes to this country pay for the education because they know that if you get a degree from here and you go back to your native country you will find a good job because a degree from here it is very important in others country In the United State there is a lot of opportunity not only in the education but also finding a job. That’s one of the reasons why many people come to this country because in others country like Ecuador there is not a lot of job opportunity. Many people say that there is not enough job in the United State but I think that is not true, I think that people are too lazy and they just want to make easy money. Two things that I hate of this country is the weather and paying rent. I hate the weather because I where I come from we never have snow and it is never cold like here and for me that I have been use to hot weather it is very difficult to adapt to this weather of this country. I also hate that when the winter comes you can’t go out that much because it is to cold or the is a lot of snow that’s why I hate so much the weather of this country , I hope I get use to it . The other reason i hate been here in the United State is that I have to pay rent. Paying rent for me has been a new step in my life because back in Ecuador I never had to pay rent because we had our own house the only thing we had to pay it was for water, gas and electricity but who just to pay all of this stuff was my mom so I never had to pay nothing.

Latin America’s independence kicked of with the independence of Haiti. Before the the independence movement that overtook Latin America, Haiti had gained independence twenty years before the movement. The Spanish Empire had been in decline for a period of time after the rise of the English empire and many failed battles on the Spanish (class notes). The French Revolution and the American Revolution had inspired many of the Latin American countries to fight for independence (Chapter 3). They were inspired by the Enlightenment that washed over Europe. Of the inspired, one man stood out and took the movement by heart.
At the age of two my parents made the long and devastating journey to bring me and my siblings to the United States from Mexico. Wanting a brighter future for us, my parents fought tooth and nail to give us the world they didn’t grow up having. Ever since stepping foot on the U.S soil, going back seemed impossible. The effects of this life-changing move, couldn’t mask the unforeseen disadvantages. Lacking exposure to Mexico’s colorful culture, little to no bonding time with my family from abroad, and the struggle of trying to blend into an environment that was so different, soon began to interfere with my overall identity. What is culture? Culture is such a complex concept that it is not defined by one simple thing. When studying the culture of a particular group of people we look at their beliefs, fashion, art, music and even food. By simply trying food from a particular culture we can learn much about its history and even geography. Recently I had the opportunity to try authentic Peruvian cuisine. Not only did I get to try new food and get to learn about a new culture, I also got to be able to compare it to my own Colombian culture.
...Mexico. On the weekends, I go to Nuevo Laredo or to Monterrey to visit them. We plan something like, parties or we get together, and we cutch up about our lives. Two major climaxes in Latin American History were the 19th-century Wars of Independence and the Mexican Revolution of 1910. BOLIVIAN PARADISE Bolivia is an amazing country that is breathtaking and is similar to a paradise. Bolivia is an interesting country that practices an interesting style of living. Locals always have plenty to do. They can go out for pizza, go see movies, or simply sit and talk.

Peru is located in western South America with an estimated population of 30 million. It is multinational, including Europeans, Africans, Asians and Amerindians. The national language of the country is Spanish, however a significant number or Peruvians still speak other native languages. Peru is a representative democratic republic that is divided into 25 regions. It is a developing country with a poverty level around 25 percent. Its main economic industries are mining, manufacturing, agriculture and fishing. The history of Peru spans multiple millennia and gone through several stages of cultural development in the mountain region and the coastal desert. About 15,000 years ago, humans are believed to have crossed the Bering Strait from Asia and moved south surviving as nomads. The Peruvian region was home to the Norte Chico civilization, one of the oldest in the world, and to the Inca Empire, the largest state in Pre-Columbian America. The Spanish Empire conquered it in the 16th century, which established a Viceroyalty with rule over most of South America. The nation declared independence from Spain in 1821, but consolidated only after the Battle of Ayacucho in 1824.
Guatemala is very wealthy in civilization. It has 21 mayan ethnicities mixed with Latin and European ethnicities. Mayan inspiration is deep and profound. Espanol is the national language and is used by most of the local population. Although in the mountains it is common to find indigenous people speaking their ancient Mayan dialect. The question of whether democracy is sustainable in Latin America is a question that has been discussed in many books, classrooms, and in many governments throughout the world. If you look at the history of Latin America and study the different types of governments that have come and gone you will see that the United States has made many efforts to bring democracy to Latin America. There are many reasons why democracy has had difficulty dominating the governments in Latin America. Some of these reasons include but are not limited to religion, the military, the influence of communism, and culture itself. But there is not a text book answer to why only the opinions of authors and diplomats from around the world. Harold E. Davis stated in his journal article that “Democracy like dictatorship is not absolute. It exists in many different forms and degrees. It is a fact of history, not a proposition of theology.” (Davis pg. 45) I think this is a wonderful statement about democracy that can be applied to Latin America. (Davis)
