Is He The Best? There are many great soccer players that are still playing, or that have passed away, but some are more recognizable than others. The things that Lionel Messi does makes him be remembered, but actually knowing what he has been through throughout his life, makes his legacy be remembered forever. Lionel Messi is the best player in this era of soccer because he has accomplished a lot ever since he was a kid, he has also broken many records compared to other players, and he works hard everyday to get where he is at now.
Jorge and Ceclia (Messi’s parents) originally named their son Luis Lionel Andres Messi, Messi was born on June 24, 1984 in Rosario, Argentina. “As a young boy,

FC Barcelona decided to pay for Messi’s health condition, only if he agreed to play in FC Barcelona’s youth academy. Due to the fact that Messi’s home was in Argentina and the youth academy was located in Barcelona, Spain, still at the age of 13, Messi’s parents decided to make their new home in Barcelona so that their son could play in the youth academy. “Messi joined FC Barcelona youth academy in 2000 playing for Barcelona junior Infantil B and Cadette B & A teams from 2000-2003, scoring 37 goals in 30 matches while playing for Barcelona Cadette A team.”(soccermaniak.com) Messi’s first years in FC Barcelona’s youth academy was extraordinary great, all the coaches knew he was different from all the other players, Messi was too good. As it states in the quotes earlier, Messi continued to score goals, he was never bored in scoring goals. He scored 37 goals in 30 games, his ratio was more than a 1 to 1 ratio. By seeing Messi continuing to score goals and seeing this talent he had, it was time for the coaches to put him in better teams, better categories within the youth academy. He was in many teams while he was in Barcelona, but these teams that he moved to were all controlled by FC Barcelona’s youth academy. In one year, Messi moved to 5 different teams, he kept getting recruited to a better team in the
Next I will talk about her teenage years of her childhood. She was a multisport athlete growing up, but she didn’t start playing organized soccer until she was 14 years old. She attended Diamond Bar High School, where she was named as the NSCAA all American. After her High School years she went to the University of California as u all may know. Also where she led the Golden Bears to the NCAA Tournament in each of her 4

Knowing Landon as the former big soccer star, I imagined him growing up mostly playing soccer and nothing else but what came to my surprise is that Landon was actually an accomplished gymnast. Going most of the through high school, Landon did both soccer and gymnastics as his sports. Once the big soccer deals came in, Landon quite the gymnastics dream and moved on to just soccer but it is still fascinating that he did both most of his way through his way through high
Wayne Gretzky was just as gifted in his earlier years as his latter years of hockey; he was a better player than the older kids on his team. According to the web page “Wayne Gretzky Biography”, Wayne was born in Brantford, Ontario on January 26, 1961. His parents, Phyllis and Walter Gretzky, had four other children: Keith, Glen, Brent, and Kim Gretzky (Zoll 1). Wayne was the eldest of five, and took interest in hockey at a young age, sparked by his father’s love for hockey. When Wayne turned six, his father constructed an ice rink in his backyard. The construction of this rink greatly helped Wayne in his early career as a hockey player, because it allowed him to practice daily. The main reason for Walter building the rink was for “self preservation”; Walter spent countless hours freezing at the local park’s pond, while he watched Wayne skate (“Gretzky Biography”). While he continued to improve upon himself, he started playing in leagues that were higher than his age group (“Gretz...
As he got older, his skills improved. He played several different positions in football.
Messi became the player he is today after being in an environment that allowed him to practice and reach the ten thousand hour rule with top coaches, players, and facility in the world. Messi was also lucky enough to be scouted by a team that was a great fit for him and willing to assist his medical treatment that could have been ruinous to his outstanding career that impacted the world of
Soccer fans all over the world have participated in the debate of who is the best soccer player today. The debate has been narrowed down to two candidate: Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Both Ronaldo and Messi have many fans around the world. Many say Messi is the best soccer player on the planet, and many say Ronaldo is. Now, they both are really great players, but in my opinion Ronaldo has the slight edge over Messi. Cristiano Ronaldo is better because of his athleticism, his playing in two leagues, his worth, and his success with his country.
Throught the years there have been amazing players come and go for Fc Barcelona. For Example Ronald Koeman who was a fantastic defender and one of the best penalty takers. Or attacking midfielder Victor Borba Ferreira who had incredible dribbling skills. Ronaldo de Assis Moreira who is also known as Ronaldinho was especially an inspiring player who brought a lot of talent to the table. All these players contributed so much to Fc Barcelona but there is one player that drastically changed everything for Fc barcelona the day he joined.
Pelé's soccer career started early. After playing in a few amateur teams like Baquinho and Sete Setembro, at the age of 11, while playing for an uncoached team called Ameriquinha, he was discovered by a former Brasilian World Cup player named Waldemar de Brito. De Brito recognized Pelé's skills and invited him to join the team he was organizing (Clube Atlético Baurú?). When Pelé was fifteen, in 1956, de Brito took him to the city of São Paulo to try out for the professional club called Santos Futebol Clube (SFC). That day, de Brito told the team directors that "This boy will be the greatest soccer player in the world."
Athletic Genius, Soccer Legend, Master of Offense, Pelé. All are names for Edson Arantes do Nascimento, undoubtedly one of the greatest soccer players of all time. The purpose of this essay is to inform you about the things Pelé accomplished throughout his life and career, and also about what he did that effected the world so much.
FC Barcelona is one of the premier soccer clubs in the world. Many of the best players in history have donned the red and blue of Barcelona and made the Catalonian fans proud. As a team, they have won countless of trophies and triumphed over rivals. Much of their success can be credited to their renowned youth academy, La Maisa. It has brought countless of talented players such as Messi, Iniesta, and Puyol throughout the ranks of La Maisa, the youth academy.
When Ronaldo was a young boy his mom wanted to abort him. Luckily this didn’t happen because he's the greatest soccer player of all time. He was not rich he was poor. He fought his way through all the way to the top. He had a heart disease that made his heart race which could have ended his soccer career. Ronaldo is a big inspiration to me and a lot of other people. He makes me try harder when i see him. He took his team to the world cup in 2014 he scored a hat trick and this is a big deal because the world cup happens every four years and only a handful of countries make it. When i watch Ronaldo play i feel like nothing else matters because it doesn’t. Ronaldo went through a bad knee injury in 2014 before the world cup started and you could tell it had an effect on him. His team was not going so hot they got kicked out of the world cups first knockout stage. In 2015 he overcame his injury and had a good year but the best was yet to come in 2016 and 2017 they won the
In conclusion, we can see that Messi’s career have been successful in over a short period of time. But, has also had some upsets that were overcome by the young superstar and also overcame his disorder to reach his goal of being a professional soccer player. In addition, all his hard work have paid off because he won some of the most prestigious award that a soccer player can get at this level, like the Golden Ball. And that can say that he is the “FIFA World Player”, of the seasons 2008 and 2009, because all the people decided that he decided, such as thing like that.
... around player, but Messi also possesses the capability to have the most CAPS (goals). Messi has such a large capacity to take criticism as well. His coach may yell at him loudly, but unlike most players, Lionel will take what the coach is saying to him and use said critiques to make himself a better player.
