Grit! Let us be gritty. Grit is like a guide on how to overcome an immense struggle, or a thief attempting to deprive a family of life, prosperity and personal belongings. It is also recognized as a driving force that distinguishes stars from ordinary human beings. In the dictionary, grit means unyielding courage in the face of danger or hardship. Angela Duckworth, a Harvard researcher, found that the more grit a student possesses, the more successful they will be. Gritty students show resilience by overcoming hardships, thus, making them crave success. There are people like students who work diligently to achieve the highest grade possible, athletes who put in hours and hours of practice so they can make the starting team, young adults who climb the ladder to get to the top of their company, and many others doing whatever it takes to make their dreams and goals become a reality.
