I feel that one of the most important lessons to learn from the Holocaust is that power can drive a person to do crazy things. Hitler thought he was all powerful . He thought that he could single handedly take over the world, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill anyone who stood in his way. What we need to learn from the Holocaust is to try our best to not let it happen again.

The reason why this is so important is so that we, as a world, never make this mistake again. Hitler had so much hate for the Jews, which was a bit ironic because he was a Jew himself and tried very hard to cover up his family’s past. He most likely did this because he was ashamed. So when he came into power he did everything he could do to discriminate against Jews. At first it was a poster here and there, almost like subliminal messaging. As discrimination got worse these messages got harsher and more out there, posters evolved into full blown announcements discriminating against Jews. Hitler essentially brain washed his citizens into thinking that the war was the Jews fault and that they were in debt. …show more content…

Many people all over the world know someone who is alive today, Kim Jong-un. While the two seem vastly different they are actually similar. While Kim doesn’t discriminate against a certain race or another group of people he still has extensive power which he inherited at a semi-young age. He also has hate for many others.
