Creative Writing: Prequel to M A timid child who is hiding in the corner of an alley shivers. The brick buildings look upon her, providing shelter, but little warmth or food, more than her parents could ever do. The child has built a reputation for herself; a young thief, and the law enforcements are caging her in. The name of their mission is called Leopard Recruit, and because of this they have given the girl the nickname of Lea. Leas stealing isn’t of high value, and it doesn’t happen frequently, but her techniques are clever, her targets are criminals and her ability to judge situations are outstanding. No shop owner suspects a young girl, but the high status agents are on her trail. Lea body cries hunger, but her mind craves excitement, narrowed and focused completely on her next mission. Be quick, act natural and don’t make a mess. Her next target is the local corner store. Lea imagines her target, its location, her position, possible problems, escape routes, and the owner while readying herself. Each act is planned carefully, with multiple options available. She carries a shard of glass, to act as a defensive weapon; she never attacks without being attacked first. If the glass is used correctly a small slit in the arm it should do the trick. The store is quiet, packed with goods she would want, but few of them she would actually need. For Lea small items are easy, while the shopkeeper isn’t looking, slip them into the coat and that’s that. For larger items Lea has a clever technique, she asks the shopkeeper for assistance, and they will attempt to help her find an item that isn’t there. While they are looking Lea can grab the item and stuff it into her coat, and the mission is complete. No worry about cameras, or scanners in those
