I am amazed because everything I have done before is what this book is telling us to do so, although, after some time I had realized what my teacher really wanted me to accomplish was to be able to think in English anything I had in mind by speaking out. Curiously, in this book there are some expressions that tell you how to improve your pronunciation such as:

“THE MORE YOU PRACTICE THE BETTER”

“PRACTICE MAKES MASTER”

I have done this one way or the other, and I do not think I will be able to stop. Also in the book shows us some listening and reading exercises to upgrade this vowel problems.

VOWEL PROBLEMS

DIPHTHONG Is the combination of two vowel sounds. It begins as one vowel and ends as another.

ARTICULATORS Are the different parts of the mouth area that we use when speaking, such as the lips, tongue, teeth, and jaw.

The various vowel sounds are affected by the changing shape and position of your articulators. The different vowels are created by:

o The position of your tongue in the mouth.

o The shape of your lips.

o The size of your jaw opening.

The Manual of american pronunciation book says *+

The fundamental method by which a student learns to pronounce English is by imitating the pronunciation of English-speaking people under conditions that approach as nearly as possible those of normal communication. This book explains how to pronounce the phonetic alphabet, the vowels, the consonants, etc., by giving some examples through a tape that comes along with it.

Now a days we have a very important tool which can really help us study, practice, prepare classes, and more: Internet.

Personally, I consider my pronunciation is fairly good. Regardless, I have chosen some links in which we can practice the exercises above mentioned, just in case we have some doubts, if we want to practice some sounds, and improve our pronunciation without having to buy those books.
