A manager is a position you are responsible for duties and rules to following guild lines. Not all managers are leaders. I worked as a manger at a telephone company and I really was not good at all. I think that I got the position because of my ability to calm irate customers down, explain the policy, and make great deals within the means of the company but, I didn’t have the skills to lead the people that I managed.
The role that best identifies my Manager is the Leadership Role, she is a Principal in a middle school where it is considered to be an at risk school district. Even though she is in a type of management position, she is also a leader, and I believe that you have to be a little bit of both in order to do the job that she does daily, I would not like to trade with her.

If their interest is the student, why is it that we the staff in 7 schools are unhappy and unmotivated? The school district is an at risk school district and I feel that incompetent people are in charge of the school so are they leaders, not in my opinion. However, what I do believe is if an organization is successful, that is because of effective leadership but it is hard to measure when you have a great staff.
Ms. Hall has had many years of public education experience and higher education training in which to hone her leadership style and framework. She started her career as a teacher in the Kirkwood School District. She then served as an assistant elementary principal at both Ritenour and Pattonville School Districts before being selected to serve as the assistant superintendent of the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District in 2008. Throughout her career she continued to pursue her education as a means o...
The strength of the education in a community is directly responsible for how strong a community will be in the present and future, as does the efforts parents make in the learning processes of In a quote from Tom Peters, he states that “ leaders don’t create followers, they create more leaders.” Working as a lead administrator in a building can have some powerful challenges, but as with anything, the approach is what makes the difference. A good leader will take advantage of the tools around them, knowing that every building has individuals who offer their very own strengths. In focusing on the individual teacher strengths of each specific teacher, a rapport can be built, but most importantly, the outcome will be a stronger building because of the process of spreading the wealth.
Leaders should exert a positive influence on the member’s school. A real leader strives to train and aid others to attain the same objective. No matter what power exists, you are ineffectual without the guidance of a leader. The NJHS is completely made up of leaders that will make their school a better place.
School boards now and days are corrupt and only care for personal financial gain. The problem persists throughout the entire nation. We need to find the right people to control our schools if they are going to be productive, and help re-establish educational...
As a leader candidate, I can understand the challenges and multiplicity of complications that administrators must face each day. However, I will not accept any remote possibility that the students must be affected by some flaws of the school organization. We all as leaders, must be strategic with people, time, and money to guide our students towards an academic success.

It is said that a manager is one that is doing things right, but a leader is someone who is not doing things right.
The phrase “leader” versus “manager.” is used to show and compere how Leading is related to managing, Bennis and Nanus (1985:21) help us understand the broader role of supervision in their discussion of management and leadership: “To be a manager is to bring about, to accomplish, to have charge of, responsibility for, to conduct. Leading, on the other hand, is influencing, guiding in direction, course, action, opinion.” They go on to say that managers are people who “do things right,” and leaders are people who “do the right things.” Managers are more efficiency driven and focus on mastering routine activities, while leaders are driven by vision and judgment. Managers tend to be bean counters, while leaders focus on achieving desired results.

The main difference that separates these two roles is that management is a function that must be utilized in any type of business, and leadership is the relationship that the leader has with his followers, which in turn can motivate and energize the organization.
Whether in businesses, governments, communities, organizations and even relationships, a form of leadership or management exists. The difference between the two positions can be simply put as, in management you manage things and materials,

My school district had adopted the Response to Intervention (RTI) and some teachers were not as quick to Buy-In to the changes in their curriculum routine or referral process for therapy services. The RTI was being implemented at a time when there was a change of administration over the county. Teachers were hesitant to follow the lead of new leadership when they were newly introduced to the new vision. When you work in the school system with the change of school leadership comes a change of new leadership vision. When staff members do not feel supported or valued they will change their place of employment.
The school districts utilize the board of education as their governance. School Governance is the personals who are involved in the operation of a school. But an effective school
