The sons of King Duncan fled to England and Ireland causing confusion on who murdered the king. Macbeth and his wife are seeking power by plotting the murder of the individual with the most authority: King Duncan. Lady Macbeth is responsible for the King Duncan’s murder because she manipulates Macbeth and creates a plan to kill the King without any help from him.
