When God grants knowledge, it is a given that the knowledge is going to surpass the average leader. When Solomon was granted knowledge by God, he went from a leader to an influencer, and a mighty good one at that, exemplified in 1 Kings 3:16-28. King Solomon was wise about what he asked the Lord for, and in return, the Lord blessed him with valuable knowledge. Solomon used this gift to his advantage when it came to his land and people, and it soon became noticeable that King Solomon was not the average leader. He embodied the gift of discernment and was able to truly bring out the vulnerable emotions in the women, therefore enabling him to successfully discern the truth.
I admire the vulnerability Solomon had with God, and it ultimately showed
God that he was worthy of greater responsibility. When Solomon ordered for the problem to be solved, no one hesitated; I could imagine that they didn’t question his orders due to his influence. Through the story of Solomon and the two women, I am able to appreciate the process of developing influence. It may be a long process, but coming to completion, God most likely won’t withhold blessings from you. What a great God we serve! He is so willing to reward us, no matter the cost. I am in love with serving a God that goes out of His way to help us build our influence. As every good leader demonstrates, God never leaves our side, and never leaves us high and dry.
Kingship plays an important role in The Epic of Gilgamesh. Their are many characteristics of kingship such as being a leader, ruling and protecting over their people, and last but not least, being ready to sacrifice themselves if need be. A great example of someone who exemplifies the qualities of kingship is Jesus Christ. He obviously was a strong leader considering people still not only talk about him, but worship him to this day. He also protected his people during his time such as the apostles or disciples. And lastly, He sacrificed himself. Not only for his apostles or himself, but for everyones salvation.
Another article states, “_King utilized the leadership abilities that he got from his religious background _” (_1999 gale group_).
“The end of life is not to be happy, nor to achieve pleasure and avoid pain, but to do the will of God, come what may.”(Raushenbush)

Leadership is something that has been around since civilization. You would think that an idea so old would be straight forward but, we can see completely different ideas of what a leader, good or bad, should look like. While some of these stories may be fictional, they line up with a historical timeline of expectations. We can also see how the role of a king and how their duties have evolved in real life. The Epic of Gilgamesh shows us how to control your power. In 1 & 2 Samuel, we see what makes a ruler great and obstacles they have to over come. When we read The Theban Plays we saw how smart a ruler had to be to please his people. While all of these leaders may seem great there are plenty of reason that makes them not great. They

Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream and I too have a dream and it is a nightmare. I’m as a young individual, scared for our future. The way our country is set up it’s not on the verge to become more prosperous. Young people like me are more focused on becoming well known than becoming a hero. Becoming well known will not benefit you in the future, because people aren’t going to notice the good you have done for our country. Being a hero will most definitely like make history towards our future. People look for the good things that are being done towards our country. For example, severing for your country. People look at those braves heroes as if they were prideful and shocks. Braveness comes from all kinds of shape and forms, It does not matter
