Kenny Fame's new release called, Goodbye has a rare passion that comes through with pure sincerity. He is a musician out of Harlem, NY and now resides in London, where he is pounding the pavement and soliciting his music and reaching worldwide recognition. The song, Goodbye has a longing, that reaches the soul. A powerful tear jerker that oozes with an emotional out pour. "There's no good in goodbye", he cries with a gut wrenching sigh. I really dig the hook, a nice play on words. He clearly has an excellent understanding of form and the elements a song needs to make it work. A song is a 3 minute movie with a beginning, middle, end and a hook to pull it all together; he has done that quite nicely. There is a solid production, with pretty
My first song I´ve chosen is Sean McGee, song titled My Story. Mainly the song is about him facing different struggles, obstacles, and all the horrible things and situations he´s been in throughout his life. I can connect to this song and the lyrics for many reasons. One of his lines were ¨Do you know how it feels to be left out in the rain¨? And I have faced times like this when I feel like no one is there or have my back, and in the line he´s trying express how it feels to have nobody and be all alone. Also throughout this song he expresses how everyday you wake up your face with something rather it's just a minor issue or something that will greatly impact your life.
As audiences watch “Fire Away,” even for just a moment, those words become an issue, those words are going through their mind and make them aware of what they can cause. The kairos of this video is very important to Stapleton, not only was this video a huge success in the music industry, but it was Stapleton’s very first music video ever released. Having such a hard pressed subject as his first video, brings kairos into a new light, as the video had great success. Kairos, meaning timing, could not be more appropriate for this song, as the timing of the song and video was able to blast Stapleton into the country music history books, as being not only an amazing singer, but being someone who is unafraid to take risks and bring country music back to its roots. Many things in this video make an audience feel cheerful, the happiness of the couple in the beginning and seeing their life begin to unfold. Many things in the video make the audience sorrowful, the many attempts of suicide and the heartbreak when the battle is lost. Many scenes in the video can make the audience feel a sense of fight, the light at the end of every bad scene and the unwavering faith of the man, through every situation that was thrown his way. Through the use of pathos, this video was able to make its audience of all different people, relate and connect with the
Jonathan Kozol's book, Amazing Grace, analyzes the lives of the people living in the dilapidated district of South Bronx, New York. Kozol spends time touring the streets with children, talking to parents, and discussing the appalling living conditions and safety concerns that plague the residents in the inner cities of New York. In great detail, he describes the harsh lifestyles that the poverty stricken families are forced into; day in and day out. Disease, hunger, crime, and drugs are of the few everyday problems that the people in Kozol's book face; however, many of these people continue to maintain a very religious and positive outlook on life. Jonathan Kozol's investigation on the lifestyle of these people, shows the side to poverty that most of the privileged class in America does not get to see. Kozol wishes to persuade the readers to sympathize with his book and consider the condition in which these people live. The inequality issues mentioned are major factors in affecting the main concerns of Kozol: educational problems, healthcare obstacles, and the everyday struggles of a South Bronx child.
I personally never heard this song before writing this essay but I actually really like it, especially after watching “The end live in LA” on YouTube, the performance was really good. What I like most was the guitarist who played the best tones throughout the whole
The analysis of this song lead me to actually dislike the song because I found that my first impression of the song was much different than after analyzing it for weeks. I love the bands music but I just don't like this one particular song. I guess there are many ways to interpret this song but I feel as if the song is way to deep in thought for a singer such as Dave Matthews. As Dave stated at one of his concerts, "Some people drink, and some don't; some people like to smoke a bowl, and some don't. Some people do and some people don't but its ok `cause it was ment to be that way." Dave Matthews is no Wordsworth, but its ok because it was meant to be that way!
Listening then, I just thought it sounded nice, but analyzing it today I can truly appreciate the care that went into their work. There aren’t many songs that give me chills, but every time I hear their rendition of Landslide (written by Stevie Nicks), I can feel it head to toe. The pacing of the instrumentation and harmony coming in is simply perfect.
What is the difference between effective or ineffective communication skills when working with children, this essay is determine to find out the appropriate ways to communicate with children by analyse, the video clip ‘Unloved’ by Tony Grison, where a young White British girl aged 11 was taken into care, due to her father being abusive towards her and mother not wanting to see her.
Written by Nicholas Sparks and directed by Julie Ann Robinson, The Last Song presents a story about a rebellious teenager who is sent, along with her little brother, to a Southern beach town for the summer with their dad. The estranged teenager reconnects with her father through their passion for music before he dies. Many critics have a split opinion of the performance and message the movie conveyed. Some would agree that the performance was incredible and some who differ. The different critical responses suggested by The Last Song are clearly illustrated by three reviews: “Miley Meets Cute over a spilled milkshake,” by Robert Ebert; “A Miley to Remember,” by Armond White in New York Press; and “The Last Song Movie Review,” by Rebecca Murray. While Ebert and White applaud the film, Murray criticized the movie with comments focusing on the acting (all three critics), the plot (White & Murray), and the movie being unbelievable and silly (Ebert & Murray).
His life, his actions, only show that no matter what you’re facing, be it anything from racial prejudice to something as simple as a mean girl, you can face it and change it for the better. I feel as if he really didn’t find his true calling until he was in his twenties, and that makes me realize that I still have time to find what I’m meant for. After learning so much about him, I am surprised I this is the first time I am hearing his story.
On a scale from 1-10 I would give this song 8. I think the song has a good and easy message to understand and its not a song only about sex or drugs like a lot other these
of conveying the fragility of life that somehow really nailed it. When he sang sad
Now that you understand his childhood, you can understand his music much clearly. His music isn't about killing cops or raping a girl, but of hope for people like him out they're selling drugs to survive. He gives the clear message of hope to everyone who makes the effort and realizes that drugs isn't the way to go and to never give up on life and to live life to the fullest.
Everybody experiences friendship difficulties, young love, and death in their lifetime, but not many experience a rough patch that contains all three at the same time. Believing in God’s plan will always keep us on the right path. In Carrie Underwood’s song, “Temporary Home”, she sings about three different people in their own life situations that God has put them in. Their stories show, that they believe that struggles, trials, and tribulations are only temporary, in this temporary world.
The song Unhinged is such a strong song that you can’t help but sing you’re lungs out right along with Nick Jonas. You can really feel the compassion he has when writing this song. Hopefully there are many more great songs like this to
