Teen Curfews

Teen Curfews have became more popular around the world. Teen curfews essentially helps the teens stay out of trouble during certain hours. Keeps the community safe, and less crime happening. What we think is going isn't absolutely true. Curfews don't keep teens out of trouble, break the fourth and fifth amendment, and don't reduce crime rates significantly.

Curfews don't keep teens out of trouble at night. Making more trouble by forcing them to stay in the house. They'll sneak out the house any time at night to go to a party, or have fun. Sneaking out the house past their curfew; with their parents thinking their child's in bed. When the parent finally notices that the child is missing they will have no idea where their child's at.

Leaving for a few hours with their friends before curfew, and never return. Could come back in the house anytime they feel good. Skipping the curfew, and coming in a times of night. Curfew's just being a set time to be in the house, and when you can come out. Its not a law, or an amendment. Therefore teens don't really have to follow that rule.

You could cause the teen to have depression with a curfew. Won't be able to go out with their friends to Apple Bee's. Feeling as though they are being held captive at home. Could result in the child cutting themselves. Maybe even think about doing suicide because they can't understand why they can't go out to just have a good time.

A huge risk of the teen getting harm because the parents don't know where the child's at. Could've gotten kidnapped, or involved in a car accident. Since the parents don't have a clue where they child's at; the cops will have a hard time knowing where to start searching. Causing confusion amongst the family, and...

You could leave behind a nasty record on the parents files. Causing them not to have the same advantage as everyone else in the world. They won't be able to get that high paying job they wanted because their child. The incident wasn't their fault, but because the child decided to do it. It turns into the parents fault for not watching them, or knowing where they reside at any time of the day. Causing the parent to get into trouble, and take the fall for their child's mistakes.

All in all, teen curfews don't work unless you got parents who'll be willing to follow those rules, and teens who agree with the terms of the curfew. If you don't have a consent from the two then its not going to work. Until they come with facts, and stats to prove that teen curfews work. Just another idea with no real effect in the world. Teen curfews aren't effective in today's society.
