Hello everyone, This is my first online class and hope to get very familiar with all the tools very soon. My major is Business Administration and I plan to graduate in summer 2018 with an Associated Degree. In fall 2018, I will be transferring to San Diego State University for my Master Degree in Business Administration. It has been a little hard to go back to school after 25 year, but I am ready to grow in my current job. I work full time for Kaiser Permanente. My main duty is to help and manage the call center for Small Business Accounts. I enjoy training and sharing my knowledge with new hires. Also, I assist phone agent with difficult callers. I have been working for Kaiser Permanente for 14 year and my goal is to work there until I retire.
Kaiser Permanente’s mission is to provide care assistance to those in need. As a health maintenance organization, Kaiser Permanente provides preventive care such as prenatal care, immunizations, diagnostics, hospital medical and pharmacy services. Also, they take responsibility and provide exceptional training for their future health professionals for better clinical performance and treatment for the patients. The organization is to ensure fair and proper treatment towards their employees for a pleasant working environment in hospital and to provide medical services especially in a growing population in suburban communities, such as Tracy and Stockton in California.
This paper’s brief intent is to identify the policies and procedures currently being developed at Midwest Hospital. It identifies how the company’s Management Committee was formed and how they problem solved and delegated responsibilities. This paper recognizes the hospital’s greatest attributes and their weakest link. Midwest Hospital hired Dr. Herb Davis to help facilitate the development and implementation of resolutions for each issue.
Your profession(s) - I worked as a C.N.A Certified Nurses Aid for 8 years and I’m currently working as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) for 3 year now, the second longest job I have ever had. My Future career is still ongoing, but I hope to graduate at the end of December 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration. I learned about being a C.N.A through unemployment, which I never received because I got a job. I learned about pharmacy technicians online and went to school at Everest College to become

I don’t have one career goal; I have multiple career goals, because everything is a goal towards a greater goal. One needs to accomplish little things to achieve something bigger. When it comes to career goals I would like to be able to accomplish everything needed to be successful. With schooling I need to try hard and pass all my courses and receive all my credits in order to graduate. I also need to be able to pass my final exams. A major goal is graduation. Graduation is the main point to all of this. After I graduate my goal is to find a job in North Carolina at a hospital or clinic. There are many job settings for Healthcare administration, but in a hospital is my main goal. I wouldn’t mind working another setting, but a hospital is what I am shooting towards. Once I achieve this goal, I know I will what to bump my education up and try for my master’s degree. Since I found out I can further my education I knew that one day I eventually will further myself and those are my career goals. I know Kaplan has a great process in helping me achieve my career
Medicare is a national social insurance program, run by the U.S. federal government since 1966 that promises health insurance for Americans aged 65 and older and younger people with disabilities. Being the nation’s single largest health insurance program, covering a large population for a wide range of health services, Medicare's funding is a fundamental part of it sustainability. Medicare is comprised of several different parts, serving different purposes, some of which require separate funding. In general, people at the age of 65 and older who have been legal residents of the United States for at least 5 years are eligible for Medicare. Same is true with people that have disabilities under 65, if they receive Social Security Disability Insurance benefits. Medicare involves four parts: Part A is hospital insurance. Part B is additional medical insurance, that Part A doesn't cover. Part C health plans, also mostly known as Medicare Advantage, are another way for original Medicare beneficiaries to receive their Part A, B and D benefits. Medicare Part D covers many prescription drugs, some of which are covered by Part B. Medicare is a major operation, not only needing adequate administering but the necessary allocated funds to keep this massive system afloat.
I will complete all my courses and obtain my first bachelor degree in kinesiology in August. I am so excited because I spent six years on earning this degree. I realized most of my classmates are applying to different graduate schools right now, but I decide to take one year off and engage in different activities. My original plan was apply to the accelerated nursing program after I finished my first bachelor, but I changed my mind because kinesiology was an amazing major and it opened my eyes. I used to believe I could only be a good nurse; however, I gain confidence when I took exercise physiology and motor control classes and believed I have the potential to become a good surgeon. I was hired as a teacher assistant and a lab research assistant
Healthcare administration provides leadership and managemnt to health care systems, hospitals, and private or public health systems. There are requirements for most professions in the health industry but with the proper education and certification, most entry-level careers are attainable. Healthcare administrators are leaders so one must be able to handle the responsibility of the job. There are characteristics that can be associated with being a health care administrator. I have learned over the course of the past few weeks that this the career path that I would like to follow and have set a few goals to help promote my career growth. My research has helped me learn many aspects of this profession and what it takes
I’m a student at Tompkins Cortland Community College this is my first semester as a college student. I plan to go to college for four years and only be at TC3 for this one semester, then transfer to a four year school. College has grown around the world more than ever and more people are attending college more than ever. I have chosen to go to college because of the rewards after graduation. Yes it is another four years of school but by getting more education and an extended degree gives me more opportunities for better jobs and more money. The career I have chosen to study is business administration. I am hoping that it takes me to a great job managing a company or possibly being an accountant.
...eer at. In the next year I plan on holding a position at a therapy office and have clinic experience. Since I now know what I want occupation that I want to pursue it is easier on me to make and set goals. I plan on joining PT club so they can assist me with picking graduate school and networking.
Professional Goals I would like to pursue a career in healthcare administration, which is my ultimate goal. From there, I would like to work in a hospital setting where I can be of assistance to a larger population. Another goal I would like to achieve is earning a master’s degree in healthcare administration. While a bachelor's degree is needed for entry-level positions, a master’s degree can help me advance in my career and provide opportunities to work in certain areas that require this particular degree. Additionally, I would like to improve my communication skills, as it is an essential aspect of healthcare administration.
Educational Goals: Education is extremely important part of my past, present, and future goals. I currently hold an Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design Media. I have found that an A.A.S Degree does not go as far al I originally intended in the Rochester, MN area and furthering my education will be a necessity for my future career goals. Over the past 2 years I have been working on my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the Minnesota School of Business Rochester campus. I am currently a senior with 3 quarters left before a spring graduation. After a June graduation, I plan on taking a summer quarter break. After summer break I will either continue on at MSB for my Masters in Business Administration with a Minor in Marketing or transferring the University of Minnesota for my Masters in Adult Education. After my Masters Degree is complete I will decide at that time if I wish to continue on and achieve my Ph.D.
As a financial professional in my current role as a relationship manager, with an Associate’s degree in Healthcare Management, I am interested in advancement in the revenue cycle services department. My expected graduation date is December 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Additionally, I recently earned the Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification with HFMA.
I am studying Business Administration here at UF because in the future I hope to be a successful businesswoman. Since the early age of 6, I was an entrepreneur. When I was six, I began my own business in my community, and sold products (toys) on the block that I no longer wanted in order to make a profit. This past summer, I created my own jewelry company and it was a success from the start. I used social media to advertise, sales skills to move forward and generate more revenue, and my artistic ability to create products. I see myself as someone with a strong drive to make it in the business world.
Health care has always been an interesting topic all over the world. Voltaire once said, “The art of medicine consists of amusing the patient while nature cures the disease.” It may seem like health care that nothing gets accomplished in different health care systems, but ultimately many trying to cures diseases and improve health care systems.
