I am writing on behalf of the 8th grade class at Monticello Trails to persuade you to write a book about Kansas. We know that you do not take submissions, but we would love to at least be considered to be included in your wonderful book series. Kansas really deserves a book more than any other state because Kansas usually gets a bad rap from other states. Many people in other states tend to think that Kansas is a very boring and dull state. Well this book may show people that Kansas is not what they think it is. We want to show people what Kansas is really about.
Ever since the fall, mankind has had a voracious desire for power and influence. People witness this desire within the walls of the Capitol Building when the media exposes backroom deals. It also springs up whenever a politician uses a podium to persuade people that he makes the world work. Politicians possibly rely on persuasion because they crave the power. However, persuasion is a manipulative, unBiblical tactic of forcing others to accept a point of view by all means necessary.
As Junior year is regarded as your most important year while taking exams such as SAT, ACT, SBAC and AP test. Junior year to me felt very similiar to my Sophomore year in high school, as I still meet new people and friends from sports and got closer to many new teachers. Two new areas in which I improved throughout my Junior year were my character and responsibility. Throughout my Junior year I learned to be more humble and not procrastinate. I learned that majority of the time doing an assignment as soon as possible is almost if not always going to turn out better than waiting until the last
Well, a place where to live is essential for everybody. Today I am going to show you a less expensive, practical and ecofriendly solution for this basic but indispensable necessity.
First, like most other students, I procrastinate way too often. This is one of my academic shortcomings. For example, the week that Bachelor of Science in Public Health application was due, I also had three other papers and two tests due in the same week. Now, the smart side of me told me to start my assignments, especially my BSPH statement of interest, weeks ago so it would not all run together. With that being said, the typical college student in me politely declined to start any of my assignments early; so, here I am. My week has consisted of no sleep and many, many cups of coffee. Thank you
Procrastination is a common problem with students. Students wait closer and closer to the due date to complete an assignment. Procrastinating is something that everyone has done at one point in his or her lives. All students such as elementary students, middle school students, high school students, and college students procrastinate. Students have many reasons why they seem to procrastinate. Senior year is the year full of memories, some bad and some good. But, I will forever cherish these because I will never get a chance to do this again. Senior year is the year I will learn to take risks, have fun, focus on my future and everything it holds. I have 9 months left of being a kid, 9 months before I spring into adulthood. It is the year full of changes-whether or not I actually want them to happen. This is the year that will be filled with some hard goodbyes and generous hellos. But, I will put my best foot forward and embrace and embark on this special
To begin I decided to make a to-do list or a planner of what things need to be done. Prioritizing from have to do it to would be great if I do it. Especially as a science major every time I decide to procrastinate meaning end up cramming the
When it comes to our personal and professional lives, Managing your time efficiently should be a mastered ability. As a student, this could have a huge effect on performance and grades. Seeing that Time Management is imperative when it comes to college and success, recognizing bad habits, should be one of the first obstructions immediately eliminated from your daily schedule. Create new habits if you tend to procrastinate and start planning ahead to manage your most important priorities. According to David Allen (2001),"Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity" (p.59) "changes in the way you clarify and organize all things that command your attention-could represent a significant shift in how you approach some key aspects of your day to day work." Setting up deadlines and completing your assignments a few days before the due date will eliminate the procrastination stage. Creating a list with the most important priorities first, will help sort out your assignments and eliminate stress and feeling overwhelmed.
One thing that teen constantly do is procrastinate. Procrastination is the avoiding important work that needs to be done in a period of time. Most people who do it often are not stressed because they never do anything, then they stay up all night to get there project, easy, or homework done. Waiting till the last minute is not going to good for your stress level nor for your grade. Staying up all night to study for a test is less affect then studying over a week. On page 113 of 7 Habits or Highly Effective Teens it shows you what it feels like to be a procrastinator then how it feels to get things
One of the most difficult challenges that teachers and parents face is getting teenagers to do their homework. A common complaint with high school students is the fact that they do not have enough time to do their homework. In the year 2000 American students are holding down more jobs, taking on more household responsibilities, and participating in a greater amount of extracurricular activities than any other generation of American students. (Homework: Time To Turn It In?). As more and more distractions are made available to the American teenager, it is imperative that today’s students are aware of the importance of doing their homework. Homework is a necessary component of every successful student’s education. By doing homework, a student will learn independent thought, perform better in school, and provide a greater chance for economic success in their post education lives.
