The movie Juice has influenced me not just because of the hairstyle but because it teaches me about life. It teaches me responsibility, respect, integrity, compassion, and grit. I've learned a lot from my mistakes in the past that not doing or showing these thing will make you not a good person. It helps me understand the true real value of a friendship. It teaches me just because you are friends with someone for a long period of time, that doesn't mean they love and care about you. Later on in life when it all comes down money and jealousy is always in the way. This movie helps me understand to have friends, care and support them when they're down and not strong at a certain time. There are some things that I need to work on because sometimes
There are many more examples throughout this movie that can be connected or assessed to the many different concepts that was learned. There are many real-life events and these concepts are important because they allow people to see how different types of people and families deal with stress and problems and it is important not to judge or jump to conclusions and maybe take a step back and take time to consider what others may be going
The movie Crash educates the viewers on the effects of racism, and the negativity it places in our society. The interpersonal communication that was played out throughout the movie, made me more conscientiously aware, of how I interact with different ethnicities, so as not to offend
This movie enlightened me because in learning the different ethicists. I was able to see how a care ethicist and virtue theorist acts. It was a very emotional movie. This showed me the different medical plans they have available. What do their plans offer to me; if I am ever put in situation like John Q.? I have to know what medical plan I have to have; God forbid anything every happened to me or my family we can be covered.
This movie was inspiring and encouraging to anyone who is struggling with something. Overcoming his controversies in life became the main point of the movie. Knowing that this movie was based upon a true story inspires the people even more.
The movie teaches us to look beyond the cover and into who someone is as a person. We also learn that sometimes contact with people makes us reconsider our judgement towards them, to find out the real person underneath.
In the documentary “Fed Up,” sugar is responsible for Americas rising obesity rate, which is happening even with the great stress that is set on exercise and portion control for those who are overweight. Fed Up is a film directed by Stephanie Soechtig, with Executive Producers Katie Couric and Laurie David. The filmmaker’s intent is mainly to inform people of the dangers of too much sugar, but it also talks about the fat’s in our diets and the food corporation shadiness. The filmmaker wants to educate the country on the effects of a poor diet and to open eyes to the obesity catastrophe in the United States. The main debate used is that sugar is the direct matter of obesity. Overall, I don’t believe the filmmaker’s debate was successful.
I really enjoyed the movie Girls Like Us. I liked watching these girls grow up and change their whole lives around. It showed how the science of sociology is present in everyday lives and relationships and how conflicts can change a person for the better or the worst. What a learned most from this movie was how structural functionalism really does play a major part of how we grow up no matter what our ethnic backgrounds may be.
People can feel better about themselves after watching these types of movies. Using these elements together, it makes the movie better, but not only that, but each element helps each other out in the scene to make it a very good movie
...me many things in regards to how to develop stable intimate relationships with a partner. It taught me the significance of learning from past relationships, not only about how to maintain a relationship but about you. From looking at past relationships one can truly see who they are and who they want to become. Also I gained the knowledge that you don’t have to have a significant amount of similarities between you and your partner for it to work out. It is ok to have differences as long as you embrace those differences and learn from your partner. Happiness in a relationship comes from learning with your partner about who you both are and what you both stand for in life. Also by spending quality time growing with you partner that too makes a stable relationship to thrive off of. There was also an importance of having a deep connectedness with your partner but at the same time maintaining you own personal identity. However the most important thing that I gained from this movie is the value of complete and utter trust in a relationship. If your relationship doesn’t posses this then you really don’t have anything, you have nothing to base everything else in your relationship off of.
They provide the very basis for overcoming your own fear of yourself to show your true talent. The movie was an enjoyable roller coaster of emotions that make you feel good about yourself and Akeelah for going on this journey with her. It was great to see her grow up into a person that’s not afraid to show her skills. The amount of effort and talent that was put into the movie to show the ability to overcome discrimination and raise self-esteem is simply amazing. I’m glad I was able to see this movie as it was an oddly enjoyable emotional roller coaster.
Last week during class we had the opportunity to watch the film Doubt. The medium of the text would be the film itself which is Doubt. The form of Doubt would definitely be drama and mystery because we continuously see the external conflict between the central character and another another character. Throughout the film we see Meryl Streeps character and Father Flynn go head to head, but I also believe the movie would also be considered a mystery because we will never know if Father Flynn is guilty of having relations with Donald. There is a handful of cinematography in Doubt for example the camera angles were slanted when Meryl Streeps character walked through the hallways. The content of Doubt is Father Flynn being accused of having relations with Donald,
We learned from the movie to appreciate the simple things in life that we take for granted, from taking a walk by yourself or reading a book or even just brushing your teeth. This movie make us realize that we are very blessed because we had given a chance to enjoy life not like the others who can’t walk by themselves. We really thank God for giving us healthy life because it is one of the most precious gift that we
This paper analyzes M. Night Shyamalan’s newest film, Split. Labeled as a horror movie, Split is the type of movie to get a person to think. The psychological thriller portrays Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) through a man with twenty three different and distinct personalities. The man kidnaps three girls for a variety of reasons, and eventually a twenty fourth personality emerges. The fourth identity is not human, thus exaggerating the idea that DID is a valid disorder. Split, a film that includes themes of child abuse, symbolism, and trauma, is something that everyone should not only watch, but understand (Trailer, 2017).
In Time is a science-fiction movie that was released in 2011 that starred Justin Timberlake. In the movie, the citizens are genetically modified to stop aging at twenty five years old and their clock starts at one day, signaling that they have one day left to live. The only way the citizens can gain more time is by earning it, borrow it from others, or steal it. The time on their arm not only signifies the citizen’s time left, but it also equals currency in this system. Will Salas, played by Justin Timberlake, is the main character and lives in the ghetto division of the society. In the division, the citizens have to work their butts off just to earn a couple days or maybe a week’s worth of time left on their clocks. Also, crime is very common in this division of the society and it is not
Not only does this movie deal with the issues of society, but it points to biblical scriptures that help lead us in the right direction. The biggest lesson that this film taught me was that if I put my complete faith in God, then no matter what happens, he will provide, watch over, and take care of me. I learned that expressing belief in God is not enough. I have to live everyday believing and trusting him and I have to show my trust and faith through my actions and my words.
