Computers are everywhere. Almost everything that uses electricity has a computer inside it. The industry is growing fast, too. The computer in your phone is more powerful than the computer systems that put a man on the moon. Computers are used for everything from entertainment, such as gaming; to work, such as compiling financial records and rendering architectural models. As the field of information technology continues to grow rapidly, the varied industries, tech or non-tech, need more and more trained professionals.
Some researchers say that the United States has trouble keeping up with the growing market for information technology workers. As the demand grows, the benefits increase for IT workers. Starting salary continues to rise, and companies compete for the best workers, whether fresh out of college or with years of experience.

The $67 billion industry juggernaut that is the video game industry shows no signs of stopping or even slowing down. Video game spending is estimated to reach $112 billion by 2015. In such a large and competitive industry, jobs such as game designers are highly valued. Of course, a game isn’t made and then organized, so game designers are needed to plan and design everything, from story and game mechanics to sound and design.
The video game industry is almost recession-proof, with start-up companies still popping up and larger companies expanding, driving up demand for new jobs. We do a lot of things from computers and our portable devices such as get music, watch videos, pay bills, order dinner, keep connected with friends on social media sites like Facebook or Twitter, take college classes online, and many other things that I could make a 5 page list of all the things it can help us do straight from home but that would bore you to death. Now that I have told you how computers have changed our lives and how they are used in daily life, let me tell you the importance of the people working in computers and IT. These people are very important because without them who would you go to for help with your computer, make sure your information is safe, get viruses off your computer and keep it safe for kids from being attacked? That’s right, you wouldn’t be able to do any of this.
Sometimes it seems like the computer game industry is dying, crushed to death by its own bulk. Every year more and more gaming companies get gobbled up into huge conglomerates like Electronic Arts, companies that mostly put out trash that is technically and visually impressive, but devoid of concept and content. However, there are some small gaming companies that buck the trend. While mostly just small groups of programmers and artists, some are huge unions of fans who, irritated with the dropping quality of computer games, have decided to use the power of the internet to get together and to produce games tailor-made to their personal preferences.
Video games have quickly risen to a sprawling media since their first conception nearly fifty years ago. As they grew, video games have become an incredible new medium for art and design. However, video game developers, especially large ones, have collected several core problems that misconceive the potential of games. Further, this problem represses this potential by suffocating this potential artistry merit with meaningless traditions and poor business practices. These observations have led to the assertion that video games as a media are ineffective as an art form compared to other art mediums due to several problems stemming from the structure and values of the video game industry.
