Jesus is the Light that sets people free from bondage, and because He wants to set them free from the bondage of the devil. Owing to this, the devil’s number priority is to hide Jesus. The devil could hide Jesus by also hiding, or he could hide Jesus by corrupting the faith of those who are following Jesus.
If he could not hide Jesus completely, then the next logical thing for him to do is to interfere with the faith of those who believe in Him. He must corrupt the word of God so that people may follow a wrong Jesus. His agents must make people not to believe in the totality of the word of God. He makes people to believe other things about the word of God and to deny others. When he does this, he corrupts their faith by selling them a wrong

They have managed to fool many people, and because of this, their faith is misplaced. In their minds, many people may think they are following Jesus, but they are following a wrong Jesus and a wrong salvation.
Their faith has been corrupted by the devil because the churches they attend have fed them spiritual poison. They have fed them a twisted gospel of salvation. These churches that are miseducating people about Jesus are part of the deception. They are not the churches of God despite what they may claim, but they are the extension of the kingdom of darkness. The devil is using them as tools that could make people to follow a wrong God. When people are following a wrong Jesus, they are actually following the devil.
When the devil corrupts the word of God, he goes about it in many ways. He could use preachers who do not know anything about God to preach the gospel of salvation. No one could be true to the word of God if he does not know his Master. We must know Jesus in order to preach about His plan of salvation. Not only must we know Jesus in order to preach His message of salvation, we must also be one with Him, we must live in Him, and He must live in us. We must have a spiritual relationship with Him and this relationship must be based on obedience so that we could be good agents of salvation. All who have found their way to the heart of the Master tremble at His

Many of them are found in Bible Schools, Seminaries and at universities. They are the teachers of the teachers. Put differently, they are teaching the pastors and prophets who are supposed to preach to the flock of God. What these false teachers are doing is to keep many people in spiritual bondage by teaching what is false and not acceptable to the Lord. If they could poison the pastors and prophets with false doctrines, then all who have received their teachings will teach that pollution to the unsuspecting flock of God. The devil is cunning, as he knows that if he could pollute the pastors and prophets with poison, and that poison would be fed to all who would be exposed to such teachings. Owing to this, many churches have become agents of deception, as they are places that the serpent uses to corrupt the flock of

Because they are easily influenced, they are taken advantage of. The second line in particular, “rewrite their history,” might be in reference to the way in which history was poorly documented and distorted in the dark ages, especially by the church. This “colony” is also being “harvested.” Some thought the Black Plague was ensued by the Christian God as a punishment for “unholy behavior” (http://www.schoolshistory.org.uk/gcse/medicine/blackdeath.htm#.WLik-TvyuM8). Directly or indirectly, the church took advantage of this, promising that supplicants would extinguish the dreaded Plague. Through this exploitation, the church maintained loyalty while people remained ill-informed and
In John 14:6;CCC 217 Jesus said to John "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. The church or Ecclesia, as it is called in the original Greek language, regardless of size, are the called out ones who assemble to represent the Body and life of Jesus Christ. They engage in meetings of praise, worship, and listening to the Word of God, which is taken from their manual called the Holy Bible, or the Scriptures; those bringing the message are considered to be the mouthpieces for God, and are typically called preachers (KJV, Eph 5.23-32). According to the Bible, the church, which includes the preachers, is to strive to exemplify the type of life that Jesu...
J. I. Packer presents a compelling summary of how believers should know God through Scripture as well as experientially in living the tenets of Scripture, a true experience of Christ living in us. Packer illustrates God’s nature through Scripture and His character of wisdom, majesty, personal unfailing lovingkindness, yet righteousness, judgment and wrath which do not diminish God’s nature or righteousness. In God’s judgement His wrath is justly shown against sin and those who reject Christ. While reading, a love beyond measure, God’s love becomes self evident. However this divine love is characterized in His terms and not ours. Packer’s key question is not asking if God is for us and again not solely for us on our terms but rather, are we for God? His question is also quality over quantity do we know much
Prior to open practice of Satanism, the Roman Catholic church used Satanism as a label for individuals and groups who held views or ideologies that conflicted with those of the church. This was an attempt to delegitimize their opponents and to strengthen the Church’s following. While these accusations were initially harmless and limited to heretics, they became increasingly frequent and extreme. These wild accusations spread to rumors of violent rituals claimed to be performed by Satanists which built up to widespread fear and panic. Ultimately, this would result in events like the Salem Witch Trials where innocent people were put to death due to false suspicion of individuals performing witchcraft and becoming possessed by the Devil. Ironically, while the church merely intended to bolster both its image and following with these accusations, the widespread panic that resulted put Satanism on the map, and “several scholars identify fundamentalist Christianity as one of the major influences shaping and driving the” onset of the Satanist movement (Underwager and Wakefield, 281). This sheds light on the true relationship between the conflicting belief systems of Christianity and Satanism. Although the two are at odds on even the most basic levels, their relationship is largely codependent. Christianity uses the fear surrounding Satanism and the
Jesus Christ, said he was the way, the truth, and life and that no one enters the kingdom of heaven accept through him. Through Catholicism, Christ’s Church, humanity has everything necessary for salvation. Since humanity is the Body of Christ, we are all called to his Church and to fulfill the Gospel. Though not everyone has the full knowledge of Christ and his Church, every individual has mission to find the fullness of truth and to seek it.
... as to allow sin to be a part of their lives, but they are deceived. Jesus has made it very clear, “I am the way, the truth and the light.” He also tells us “no one gets to the father except through me”. This cannot be made any clearer.
As one might imagine, it is vital to look at where it seems everything began. At the time, religious leaders such as Samuel Parris spoke out to the people of the immediate dangers of sin and their need for correction. Preachers had begun to particularly stress themes such as “the Devil’s hostility toward the Church,” and the notion that “Satan would not prevail even though aided by ‘wicked and reprobate men (the assistants of Satan to afflict the Church).’” (Roach 4). In addition, the Puritan chu...

Jesus was aware of his identity as seen in verse 14:61-62, “Again the high priest asked his (Jesus), ‘Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed one?’ ‘I am,’ said Jesus. ‘And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.’” Even the demons were aware of the Son of God and they rightly fear him as seen in verse 1:24, “‘What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us?
In the New Testament, the title, master teacher is given to Jesus Christ. His teachings show that he acted and was regarded by others as a teacher in the Jewish sense of the word (Rabbi/Scribe). He is described as a teacher of the Law because he taught the way of God truthfully. His teaching caused admiration and astonishment because he was teaching “with power”. “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations. Baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. This scripture lets us know that Jesus had originality of form; that when He departed from the rigid teaching patterns, He was received with hostility by the “religious leaders” of the day. Isn’t it interesting, that our Master Teacher Jesus was indeed a rebel preacher? He was not merely an expounder of traditional teaching; He taught his own positive doctrine and based it upon His personal authority. We must first recognize that Jesus’ authority is all-inclusive in heaven and in earth. It means that the angels in Heaven, the demons in Hell, human beings o earth and the church are subject to Him and are under his great authority. The first imperative of the Great Commission is to go. As they, Christians are to teach or make disciples or learners after him, learning the things they must do and must become if they are to be born into His kingdom.
The church taught them everything they needed to know; they told them right from wrong, they were the gateway to the afterlife, and they even taught them that boiling an egg took as long as a prayer! They relied on the church for everything, so whenever the black plague hit, people ran to the church. The people assumed the plague was God’s punishment, but they had hope because they thought if they were saved by the church they would be cured. However, the church had no idea how to cure the disease, thus losing a lot of the reputation and trust they had been building for the past centuries. Many people turned to God during this time, but just as many people believed that since the church had broken their trust, there was nothing left to live for, and so they turned to sin and wickedness. Doctors stopped treating patients and told them to go to a priest and confess before they died, only to have the priests reject them or not properly execute the procedure. These people legitimately thought they were going to go to hell because their priests would not complete the procedure, and so people turned even further away from the Catholic Church and all of its beliefs. (“Black Death and Church”) Worse even than many churches turning away people, some churches grew rich off of many sinful practices such as Simony or selling of indulgences. This brings us to our next
As we search the word of God with passion and earnestly, the Holy Spirit will illuminate us, so we can grasp his will in our life “until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” (Eph. 4:13).
For any Christian, one of the most important questions a person can ever answer is, “How does a Believer know that they are for sure a Christian?” All Believers needs to have the assurance of their salvation. Finding the answer to this question brings confidence and contentment to the Believer’s life. Sadly, many people live their lives never really having an answer to this question. However, the Word of God is the starting point to find this assurance.
