Trailers is the most important things to infom people know about the movies. The numbers of audience depends on the quality of the trailer. In my opinion, Linasity’s trailer is so effective because it uses awesome music, sets up a story, and has it own heart. First, the strong music genuinely reflects the mood of the movie. For instance, it makes us feel like we are in the “battle” of the basket ball match. The music also excel the triump once Lin, asian man, scores more points in his first five NBA starts than any other player in the modern era. Then, the trailer sets up the story in which we can know about what kind of film is, who the main character is, and what sort of mood the film has. For example, the story of Jeremy Lin’s life from
In 2013, the horror film The Conjuring first aired. The director of this and many other horror films such as Insidious is the talented James Wan. The main characters in this trailer are Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, two well-known individuals in the horror film industry. This trailer is intended for an older audience who likes to be scared. It's not suitable for young children. When watching The Conjuring trailer, one would notice many examples of pathos. These examples included the eerie music, real pictures from the actual Warren family, word clips that come across the screen, and scary pop up scenes from the film. There are a few examples of logos and ethos that are present in the film as well. The visuals in this trailer successfully
The director uses the music as a symbol for the audience to determine what person belongs to which group. At the beginning of the movie when there is a standoff between the blacks and the whites the director uses a commentary sound to show the atmosphere of a prejudice and hostile city they are in. The lighting is very dim which automatically tells us that the mood of the movie is dark and there is a lot of anger among many people.
the music they use is off key and eerie. In a very scary part of the
At the start of the film, Marker put in this familiar noises of the planes to tell us that it was situated at the airport. Without the use of the sound in this particular scene, it would be just a photo montage whereby the viewers wouldn't probably feel the present of planes. Music helps to establish a sense of the pace at each of the accompanying scene and sometimes overlap voice-over musical score. At the beginning of the film, the images of the war torn Paris was accompanied by some sort of choir music that sounded very depressing and melancholic which then adds to the atmosphere. With the film starting off with this eerie atmosphere could also foreshadow a depressing storyline later on, that the protagonist meets his own death. Furthermore with the deliberate use of music in various part of the film, it kind of foreshadow the tragic ending whereby the fixated image of him as a child watching someone die at the
The film trailer that I am going to analyse is the first film of a
The music suited the movie very nicely. By the type of music playing, you could determine what sort of scene was coming up, either fast and light...
The trailer teases the menacing and violent nature of the film, through the filming techniques which continue to create suspense and anticipation within a responder.
In the film, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, every time there was a close up of Augustus Gloop in the candy room, sinister music would play. This foreshadowed that something bad was going to happen to him in that room. It puts the viewer on edge and creates a mood of suspense because they don’t know what is going to happen. He also uses music to foreshadow events in the movie Edward Scissorhands. Every time Edward saw Kim happy, angelic music would play which foreshadowed that something would happen between them and also gave you a hint about his feelings towards her. Burton used music to show foreshadowing in the movie Dark Shadows as well. When Josette was walking toward the edge of the cliff suspenseful music played create a mood of suspense and fear that Barnabas wouldn’t make it in time and she would fall to her death. One of the many other cinematic techniques Burton often uses in his films is using lighting and color to show
Finally, the emphasis and the use of music in the film to infuse two themes of the movie literally astounded me of how smooth it was incorporated. As a former instrumentalist, singer, and dancer, music has been a major part of my life. So I was drawn to the use of music and I quickly realized why and how music was effective in this film. The first theme that the music alludes to is nationalism and pride. We can see this when all the Nazi generals are singing

which a film is promoted can have a huge effect on whether or not it
It is quite obvious how music is able to have an effect on the mood or tone of an event. By playing slow music the audience gets a more solemn picture that otherwise might not have been portrayed to such an extent without the enhancement of the music. Faster music creates a more excited or anticipatory mood. This type of music is used as a catalyst or a tool for effectiveness in order to trigger emotions or feelings from the audience. It also allows the audience to get in on the feelings of the characters that are not expressed with words.
One of the most used techniques to help that were cuts of menacing storms and sick people, this, again, emphasized the damage that global warming can do to the earth, and not just to humans. The cuts try to interest the viewer and try to make them more aware of the aftermath of their actions. Another essential part of the trailer were the music transitions present at crucial moments. The music starts as a very intense, hard beat that strikes immediate interest and focus towards the trailer, then, suddenly, the music shifts to a lighter tone, to show that there is hope for our situation, the music then changes back to the intense and dramatic beat to drive the director’s point into the viewer’s
My vision for the trailer was to create a slight eerie and sinister feel. My group felt that the story itself gave an ominous vibe, so we tried to incorporate that in our trailer. We filmed almost every single scene that was in the story, so when I started editing I would have a variety of clips to use. We came up with the idea to use the song “You Are My Sunshine” as the background music, the song recently came out with the trailer of Annabelle: Creation. The song “You Are My Sunshine” was not suspenseful enough because it is a slower paced song, but it still helped produce the eerie feel we were looking for, so I decided to keep the song but add a faster, more upbeat instrumental to the background. I believe the decision of adding a second
The importance of music in movies is highly regarded for manipulating the viewer’s emotions and helping them immerse into the story. Music is one of the prime elements in cinema. Without it a movie would feel dull and unexciting. There are three elements in a movie: one is acting, the second is picture, and the third one is music. It is a holy trinity; if incomplete, there would be a lack of sensation and excitement. Both acting and picture can stand independently from one another, but music is the one that makes the movie memorable.
