Japan

Japan is a small country located in Eastern Asia. The country Japan is made up of thousands of islands, 4 major islands, and over 3000 minor ones. The capital of Honshu (A major island) is Tokyo, which is also the capital of Japan. The area of Japan is 377.915 km², with a population of 127.6 million (updated in 2012), having 337566 people per km². These facts are shocking. Having 127.6 million people in a country is awe-some, but it frightens one even more so to imagine having over 337 thousand people within one square kilometre of the area, considering there are only 377 km² of Japan in the beginning. 9 out of 1000 people die annually, meaning 1182852 people die every single year. This doesn’t necessarily make sense because of the fact that only 8.4 out of 1000 people give birth yearly, meaning 1071840 people are born annually in Japan. Considering how densely populated Japan is of course.

The, or one of the greatest factors to determining how much a country is populated is it’s environment. Japan is generally a very comfortable area. Depending on the seasons, Japan’s climate is most of the time on the warm side. Summers are humid and hot, while winters are nice and cool. Japan’s islands are scattered with many mountains which slope down towards forests and continue on with land until another mountain comes within reach to it. That is basically the entire landscape of Japan. Not only are there tons of mountains in Japan, but there are also tons of volcanoes. Japan is known for being part of many natural disasters, like Tsunamis and Volcanic eruptions. Out of the 150 volcanoes, 60 are currently active, and can erupt at any moment.

Japan’s greatness also comes from the many interesting and famous landmarks. Most of them f...

However, this all remains in theoretical regards and does not ascertain the security and welfare of every given individual, taking into account the pre-existing population of Japan of which ranks one of the world’s highest per capita, and in and of itself remains a relatively small land mass for the cohabitation of so many.
