The Janesville Public Library, originally was constructed in 1964 to meet the needs of a growing community. The newly constructed 41,000-square-foot building, located at 316 S. Main Street, would cost nearly $8 million to complete. Don and Gerry Hedberg would donate in total $4.66 million, while the rest of the capital came from local businesses and taxpayers. Because of the generous donation from Don and Gerry, the library officially changed its name to the Hedberg Public Library (Hedberg Public Library). The next major construction project would occur in 1994 when the building underwent exterior and interior changes. The exterior renovations included more windows around the building. The interior renovations included the elimination of certain
walls on the second floor to increase more open area and a children’s area. Because of the increase of space, addition light fixtures were added. Another area of focus during the renovation was the replacement of the boiler system. However, the plans for the new heating system did not include new duct work to compensate for the newly redesign second-floor plan. Since then, the library has upgraded the heating system to a computerized program that allows the business operations coordinator to monitor and control the system. So far, the only renovation to take place since 1994 is the front entrance stairs facing S. Main Street.
The King County Library System is the fifth largest library system in circulation in the United States. The current director of the KCLS, Bill Ptacek, started with the organization three years ago and is in the process of working towards a new strategic plan titled "The Year 2000 Plan, which has a long-term goal of integrating all the resources of the library system equally and to coordinate all the efforts to ensure it was providing the best possible service to the community. In the three years, Ptacek worked to expand the mission to cover services for the community to include children, life-long learning, career development, and literacy (Chell, 1996, pg.2). The reworking of the mission and services of KCLS was in full swing, but there were

As a marketing intern for the Pritzker Military Museum & Library, I have been assigned to monitor and collect data from the social media accounts. I had to figure out which marketing campaign was successful and unsuccessful. I had to look at various categories of data such as the number of views, shares, likes, and clicks. Also, the museum gives surveys to its visitors and I had to sort the survey in an excel document by good and bad data. If the survey was incomplete or didn’t give enough information then it was considered bad data. I had to ensure every number and response going into the main system was correct to get an accurate result.
On the other hand, Internal side has also been influenced by the external side’s complexity. The internal side of the house was renovated in line with the other side, showing the combination between the old and new elements. Even though Gehry didn’t change the basic plan of the house, it seems that the external complexity still can be f...

I am proposing for a library to be put into the Exton campus of Delaware County Community College. There is currently not a library at this location. In order to have the use of a campus library we must go to the main campus of the college, which is approximately thirty to forty minutes from the Exton location. There are many students that go the Exton campus throughout the year and take a variety of courses. Many of these courses require at least some time spent in the library to write papers, to do research, etc. Not everyone has the time to drive to main campus to use the library so I am proposing for one to be added to the Exton location. The Downingtown campus can use the library as well because it is relatively close. It only seems logical to add a library to a college campus because not only does it make it easier to students to complete their assignments but it also promotes learning. A library is necessary in order to learn. There are many materials in a library that people do not have access to at home.
On 13rd of October, at 3:57p.m., I found a seat next to the ceiling window on the ground floor in the San Diego Public Library and started my observation. The whole floor is surrounded by the ceiling windows which allow the allow luminance of sunlight to shine deeply into the library. My location was facing both the children’s library and the area which serves a branch of CD and DVDs. On that day, the library was also holding a mini exhibition names as the “Guardian Spirit Sacred Sculpture from the Continent of African”. Even though there are three wooden bookshelfs displayed orderly between my location and the children library, I can still clearly observe my target who is located in the children library.

Digital library refers to an electronic library in which collections are stored in electronic media formats as opposed print, microform, or other media and accessible via computers. One of the biggest areas for hardware and software development outside the traditional ILS, digital content management for libraries present itself as the newest moving target in library automation. Sometimes as simple as scanning a document for electronic course reverse, or as complex as state-of-the-art digital management, access, and preservations, the digital library movement is probably the most perplexing and promising development for libraries since library automation began almost seven decades ago. Though this subject is worthy of its own textbook , but its ironically, the paper library on digital libraries is a growing one. The more humble the aim of this work is to put digital libraries in the context of library-vendor and library-dot-com relationships.
The definition of digital library is a collection of services and the collection of information objects that support users in dealing with information objects. The same data, when organized systematically it becomes a digital library collection. Digital libraries contain diverse information for use by many different users. Digital libraries range in size from tiny to huge. They can use any
