I got it nine days in.
Sure, it’s not normal and I guess it’s not seen as common, but why does that have to matter anyway.
I could be normal, I can conform to a standard; to be usual, typical, expected. And just as easily, I can be common: often occurring, found, or even prevalent. But mostly, I just need to be me: unbalanced, unreliable and free at heart.
My name’s Jack, my story is long, and my time is here to be wasted.
My days usually consist of the same routine, 6am start, 1am finish and a beautiful, handcrafted, masterpiece in-between. I love my job and I love my clients, It gives me power unheard of. In my mind it was the pure result of love and passion. At least that’s what I thought. I loved her, I think I loved her. Maybe it was just strong lust, but it sure hurt a lot like I thought love would. All my life I lived in support of potentially regrettable acts done with passion and motive. And I think that’s the main message found in mine.
A lot of people have the common misconception that to be reserved is strength. But the reality is, there's nothing more powerful, than someone who is not afraid of falling love and not afraid to give themselves completely. Because when you can do that, if you can fall in love without fear and without hesitation, you’re invincible.
I feel bad for dragging Lucy into this, It all started when I got it nine days in. It was a bold move for a girl I had just met, but in the moment it just felt right. I got her name – Aria tattooed down the side of my left rib. She saw it, she didn’t run away, it put a ring on it. Things where great for a while, we moved south, I set up my own tattoo shop and we started our new lives filled with spontaneity, hope and most of all an unfathomable degree of passion.
That’s where things went wrong, we decided to have kid, a kid named Lucy. She never understood my job and never understood why I didn’t love mummy anymore. Her mum lost passion, and in that I lost passion for her
