Organization Background
Ithaca College fitness center: a safe environment where students and faculty are given the opportunity to participate in group exercises. However, if one prefers to work out alone, they are provided with a wide range of fitness equipment that caters to their needs and desires. Services offered besides the basic exercise area consists of an aerobics room for group exercises such as yoga and zumba, a rock climbing wall, a mondo and wood floor gym (Ithaca College Fitness Center, n.d.).
IC’s fitness center hopes to achieve “... excellence by modeling integrity and professionalism that leads to a comprehensive educational experience, community pride, and personal well-being” (Reilley, 2016).

Therefore, a fitness center that provides an inexpensive and convenient place to exercise is perfect for students who live on campus. As stress levels rise and students begin to binge eat, because that is the only way to stay warm in Ithaca, without having to bundle up in plethora of layers, many students may feel the need to work off all the calories. With the facility being in close proximity to most on campus housing, students are able to go at relatively reasonable times. This means that the funding is assembled through the college. As for our goal of spreading awareness, there are many collaborators within the school who are closely linked to the facility. Specifically, these include organizations, programs, and buildings like the Hill Center whom advertise the fitness center to exercise science students, A&E Center, PT students, The Ithacan and Intercom for advertising purposes, as well as IC social media, and other members who make up a secondary audience who have contributed to the publicization and success of the
A major threat to the business is the fact that UW-‐Oshkosh students already pay for a gym membership that is included in their tuition. It is important that we do everything possible to promote Planet Fitness and draw this group in. We will minimize this threat by offering student discounts and gearing our promotions towards the younger demographic.
A college campus is nothing without a gym. College sports, and cultural events take place in the T.M. Elmore Gym on Alabama A&M’s campus. This gym is located on the west side of A&M’s campus between Louis Crews stadium and Dr. Ernest L. Knight West Campus dorms. This building has made a large impact on the culture of the school considering that the gym is home to sports teams, classrooms, pep rallies, guest speakers and convocations.

Due to the increase of popularity of the interscholastic athletic activities on the past few years, several researches process, recommendation, and manuals have been developed by diverse organizations such as the American college of sports medicine, and the national athletic trainer association. These organizations and their members have been working extensively to develop awareness over the importance of providing high quality medical service which can improve the medical outcome of the patient. At the same time, these organization developed regulations to standardize the medical service offered by the sport medicine team; especially by athletic trainers.

The gym is a place where a typical American college student goes to work out their bodies. Based on the fact that I personally could be considered a gym rat, a stereotypical name for someone who spends a lot of time in the work out area. This is partially by choice being on the swim team requires the strength training equipment that is available to our disposal in the gym. While I have been to the gym many times I haven’t really taken the time to take in the other people around me. Within this ethnographic exercise I will explore the college gym norms within Roger Williams University.
Both Darian and Keara have been members for now a year. They had different perspectives on why they joined. Darian’s reason behind joining the club was to work out. Keara’s reason was to receive community service hours, get active, and work out. Darian felt that the community is not yet connected, but he does believe it will be soon. Their purpose as members of AMFC is to help people achieve their goals for fitness. Darian stated that transforming the campus is what motivates him to stay active in the group. Keara is motivated by getting people involved in American Muscle Fitness Club to live a healthier lifestyle. AMFC’s main goal is to promote health, fitness, and diversity. They strive to achieve their fitness goals and have fun with fitness as a family. American Muscle Fitness Club encourages others to participate in activities related to the group by working out as a fitness family to become a better version of yourself. Over the course of my observations of McComas Gym’s weight room, it was easy to figure out what type of audience would be interested in my essay. Based off this audience, I developed a persona who represents the weight room community by combining many of the characteristics I observed in individuals in the weight room. My developed persona is an ideal representative of an “insider” to the weight room community, as well as a representative of my essay’s audience.
And to coach an intellectual development on a larger scale, inclusion of civil activity that generates a sense of the acceptance should absolutely be part of the overall theory of a good balanced workout program.

Designing a Fitness Program When designing a fitness programme it is very important to remember that the traing period and structure must be split up into three main sections. Warm up, Conditioning and warm down. Warming up is a must for all training programmes as it reduces the risk of injury this can come in the form of star jumps jogging and flexing. Warming up also increases muscle contraction and it also stimulates the cardio activity (heart rate). The warm up may also increase the mental preparation of the mind Conditioning Conditioning is the main bulk of the activity that is going to build your muscle strength etc.
