Subject: Is it ethical to require kids to participate in daily physical education classes?
Audience: Using this topic as an informational question will affect the audience in the following ways. First asking is it ethical? It would it be up to the parents to decide if their child should have to participate in physical education. This topic would be hard to do in this format because there is no plan. The states determine the curriculum in the schools; so they would be in the audience. If some measures would be decided they would have to be voted on by some form of the government they also would be the audience. I think if this is the topic that I do I would approach it differently than a causal argument. I feel that the proposal argument

There are many other programs that want back into the school curriculum such as music and shop classes. I found that many changes have been made recently to children school curriculum and that some people think that they only teach children to excel at standardized tests. If a school has high test scores they receive more federal money. Description: If this is the subject that I will do my paper on I will look into the standardized test and just how much money schools get for good test scores. I will find out why the schools that performed bad don’t get more money to improve the outcomes of the children's lives. I will see why Physical education has been cut out of schools. I will conduct my research using primary and secondary sources. I will interview some coaches that might have good insight on the problems that schools are facing. I really think this is a great research topic that can have a wealth of information. I will use the information to be an advocate on children's issues. My research will be scientific and academic; this topic is both a science and and ethical issue therefore, I will use current news along with my other sources. I envision the process of finding credible sources and annotating them and after all that I will produce an outline of all my data collections. After that I will begin to write a paper to persuade my audience that schools need to bring back physical education for the safety of the children. It would save money in the long run to keep children healthy then to finance the health care costs of unhealthy

With many opinions on why America 's education achievement level has dropped to its lowest point, many say school policies are the blame; some say that classrooms have a greater impact on educational achievement. The book, The classroom crucible. What really works, what doesn 't and why? written by Edward Pauly gives the reader an understanding on what causes student achievement and what the teachers feel is cause for some classroom to have greater test results than others. James S. Coleman, Eric Hanushek, Richard Murane and Edward Pauly have done intense research and started studies at different periods of time on what is causing for some schools and classrooms to have better results in test scores.
Within this paper I will be discussing a research based Physical Education curriculum program known as SPARK P.E. SPARK stands for Sports, Play, Active, Recreation, for Kids and it strives to help improve the lives of young and adolescent children through exercise and fun activities. I will be discussing the goals of SPARK, the positives of the program, and the specifics into a few of the packages they offer to schools and various after school programs.
Standardized testing scores proficiencies in most generally accepted curricular areas. The margin of error is too great to call this method effective. “High test scores are generally related to things other than the actual quality of education students are receiving” (Kohn 7). “Only recently have test scores been published in the news-paper and used as the primary criteria for judging children, teachers, and schools.”(2) Standardized testing is a great travesty imposed upon the American Public School system.

Too much time is being devoted to preparing students for standardized tests. Parents should worry about what schools are sacrificing in order to focus on raising test scores. Schools across the country are cutting back on, or even eliminating programs in the arts, recess for young children, field trips, electives for high school students, class meetings, discussions about current events, the use of literature in the elementary grades, and entire subject areas such as science (if the tests cover only language arts and math) (Kohn Standardized Testing and Its Victims 1).
The book that I read in class is called Romeo and Juliet the book was made by William Shakespeare. The character that I picked to talk about is Romeo, since Romeo is young he can be really impulsive when it comes to making a right decision or knowing how to act on a situation. This is what Romeo encounters throughout the story and doesn’t know how to handle the situations he comes across .Romeo’s choices is what leads him to a bad ending in Romeo and Juliet.
Many schools need to implement these programs because of the benefits they can give children with special needs. The fact that schools do not have these programs for children with needs should make all americans stomachs churn. Some may say it costs too much. If this is the case, why does the government fund other school programs such as athletics to a much higher degree? Could not some of the money going to other programs go to a program that gives children what they are supposed to being going to school for in the first place? This also shows that some children are not as dedicated to their studies as they should be, but rather in athletics, theatre, or other programs. Special needs children need education just as much as any other student, schools must hear the voices of parents and families of these children and implement these programs in their
Over the past decades our culture has changes dramatically. To which our nation was once a physically active nation. Yet now it seems that society discourages physical activity. The human race has been dependent on automobiles, discouraging people to walk or bike, increasing the chance of a poor life-style. Yet there are many factors that affect the achievement and maintenance of a healthy life. Young people are growing into a diverse society, which is characterized by rapid change, inactive work and leisure practices that influence unhealthy behaviors. By incorporating physical activity into peoples daily routine will increase their chances of being healthier, reducing certain diseases and learning how to avoid injuries. Physical education helps students improve their knowledge about health issues and practices that will lead to a more enjoyable life. Students playing and working in a team together develop social skills, teamwork, achieving goals, and development of self-esteem. Overall physical education provides the potential for a better life style.

Sport at school should NOT be compulsory. Sports training and PE take up time that could be better spent learning other subjects, and PE and Sport are not as important as other subjects like maths, science etc. It is also my belief that it students should have the right to choose whether or not we do sport/PE, because we are allowed to choose the subjects that are more important, so why are we not allowed to choose whether or not we do sport?Every year in PE, we do the same sports and the same practice drills, so after year 7, there is no point continuing to do PE, because the you are just doing the same things that you have done in previous years. 2 periods per cycle are spent on PE, 2 periods which could be spent on subjects like foreign languages, which are only allocated 4 periods per cycle or English or Science, which get 5 periods per cycle.
Physical education in school systems is beneficial because it improves students’ health. Without physical education the child’s overall health will decrease. Despite these benefits, some people believe that physical education has no value to children in schools. Physical education is significant in schools because it improves children’s health.
Physical education time is being cut in schools to give more time for students to focus on core courses such as Science, Math and Reading. Some districts have eliminated the course or do not even provide it. These courses, although are very important, should not take away from a student’s well-being. Physical education provides a foundation to a student’s future lifestyle and good health habits. Physical education should be treated like every other foundational course because it is a necessary part of a student’s lifestyle that will benefit from every day. Physical education provides: 1) a variation of motor skills aimed to enhance the physical, mental, social and emotional development, 2) an understanding to improve and maintain their physical well-being and 3) opportunities to advance developing social and cooperative skills while gaining a multi-cultural perspective.
