You always hear people talking about whether Heaven and Hell is actually real. I’m sure everyone has their own opinion about the subject which they usually do. There are more reasons not to believe in heaven and hell than there are to actually believe in it, but I want to prove to everyone that they are misunderstanding heaven and hell. So to prove my point here are some resources that agree with me and have proof to back it up.
According to Matthew Miller, Heaven is more of spiritual place rather than a physical one, but the nevertheless as real as the person standing next to you. Heaven is place where there is no stress, death, pain, suffering of any kind, and no worries so Hakuna Matata to you. Heaven is more of a place where there is fulfillment of the heart. Every desire and wish that your heart wants, it shall receive. Hell is a literal place of tormenting, and punishment. Nothing good ever comes from hell or Satan himself. Everyone who doesn’t submit their eternal soul to God will go to hell. He is basically saying that hell is more a literal place and heaven is more spiritual.
Science News Flash also has their thoughts about the topic. They also agree that both places really exist. He says that when kids/babies die they go to heaven. It’s like a “free pass” in heaven only because kids are so young they don’t know wrong from right. The only way into heaven is to believe that God is your savior and that he is first in your life. Once you die and go to heaven there is said to be no marriage because we all will live together as a family. There are known angels of heaven for example Michael, Zachariah, Gabriel, & Raphael. It has been said that the angels, thousands of angels are joyfully assembled. There also used to be an an...

Todd was amazed by Colton knowing bible passages that to todd’s knowledge he wasn’t even aware he knew. By the end of the story Colton is 11 and doesn’t talk about his experience much. Him and his family had told people about it though and created this book because they saw that it helps people.

Hell is what he is referring to when the author says firey pit. He describes hell as the lowest,
It is hard for us to understand that when we give up our sins, although difficult to do, we are no longer rejecting God and will be rewarded with true joy. Heaven is a complete union with God. “There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, “Thy will be done’ and those to whom God says, in the end, “Thy will be done.’ All that are in Hell chose
Edwards describes hell as being the most horrific place and how no one is immune from falling into the hollows of hell. Edwards states, “their foot shall slide in due time (Edwards).” Our lives hang by a thin thread above the pits of hell. Such a contrarian view by a preacher must be taken seriously. We can live our lives to the fullest, or we can live our lives in trepidation of being banished to hell. People of the congregation mu...
pits, different cells in hell and there is a heart of hell. As Mary and JESUS went through hell their were people there who are begging god to let them in heaven and god says no because judgement has been set. He said there has been many people their way to introduce them to god and they refused. Souls are in hell begging for repentance and the answer is no because they had their chance and they turned their backs on god. Some souls even were at one time of another saved and they were going through something to make them stronger in the word and they though god was being unfair to them and blamed god for the mistake; therefore turning their backs on god. There are many false prophets in hell. As god walks through and stop to talk to these prophets they beg and pled for forgiveness and when god says judgement has been set they began to curse god and talk to him in the manner where they are really disrespecting god.
But, enough of heaven, what about hell? The Babylonians believed the afterlife to be much different, a place of waling and gnashing of teeth: “the house where they sit in darkness, where dust is their food and clay their meat, they are clothed like birds with wings for garments, over bolt and door lie dust and silence” (92). Like the Egyptians, the Babylonians buried their dead. Their journey to the afterlife was not something to which one looked forward. Rather, silence dominated their underworld where all people--kings, queens, heroes, and servants--suffered equal torment.
Heaven can be defined as, the place where God lives and where worthy people go after they die according to certain religions, Hell can be interpreted as the opposite in which is a place where the devil resides and where evil people go after they pass on to the next life. Across various religions these two places are more than just definitions, each culture has a different representation of each. Throughout the world the main organized religions include; Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, and Buddhism. At a glance, how does the representation of places of the afterlife across the religions differ, how are they similar?
One of the several literary devices used in this sermon is a metaphor, which supports the purpose of this sermon by providing a visual aid in the mind of the listener. Edwards goes into detail multiple times throughout the sermon to depict what hell looks like. “The Wrath of God burns against them, their Damnation don’t slumber, the Pit is prepared, the Fire is made ready, the Furnace is now hot, ready to receive them, the Flames do now rage and glow.”(7) Edwards describes hell as a “Pit” of fire. He capitalizes several keywords
Hell has been described in many different texts, all explaining how Hell may be organized. There have been many examples in the Bible, myths, folktales, and music through out time. One example in particular is in Dante's, The Inferno, where hell is described as having many layers, which are categorized by individual sins, such as thievery, and are punished for an eternity. In Dante's model, more sin centered, a soul would be sent to a certain layer of hell for one sin that he had committed. However, perhaps a more personalized Hell, sinner-centered, that deals with each sinner individually for each sin committed and its severity, would allow for people to be punished more effectively.
But, the belief system differs slightly. Heaven in the Islamic faith is called Paradise, comparatively the believers of Islam consider the gateway into heaven or, paradise to be obtained by an individual’s good doings overweighing their wrong doings; just as the Christian’s hold to be true. Within the pages of the Qur’an it reads; “Allah will admit those who believe and work righteous deeds to Gardens beneath which rivers flow: they shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls; and their garments there will be of silk.” Stating that people who go to Jannah will go to a place that is deemed to be of riches and desired living. People who embrace the religion of Islam refer hell as the “fire.” An excerpt from the Qur’an elaborates on the result of a person who goes against the rules of the sacred book and it reads; “Our Lord! Surely, whom You admit to the Fire, indeed You have disgraced him, and never will the wrongdoers find any helpers." (Quran 3:192) in relation to heaven and hell, Christianity and Muslim, the view to an extent is a mirrored interpretation across the faiths where heaven is not
He gives reason to fear and respect the law of God, lest eternal punishment be your only promise in the afterlife. These punishments are as relevant as can be, so he offers a very vivid picture of hell. The men that he puts in hell give it a realistic twist, enhancing the fear that is felt upon reading this work.
It is a solid world, no distinction between mind and matter, everything is touchable. The physical expresses the spiritual, the spirit of God is physical and pervades the physical universe--it's all one place. There is no heaven and hell, it is just all here. For this reason, this book answers all of those questions you had as a kid in Sunday school and nobody could give you a satisfying answer, for instance, where do people go when they die, what does hell look like, what does heaven look like, what is purgatory, and how does one get from purgatory to heaven. Sunday school teachers should just read Dante to the kids--it is the end-all encyclopedia of heaven, hell, and purgatory.
One way in which death can be viewed comes across the Catholic religion. The Catholic believers look life after death in a prospective of three different worlds, such as Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise according to the deeds committed during life. If a person during his or her lifetime committed any sins, this person’s next world will be the Hell. The traditional view in which people refer to hell can be found in the book written by Dante Alighieri, “La Divina Commedia”. The book states that the formation of Hell was given by the crash of Lucifer (the angel that wanted to be better than God) from the sky onto the earth. Crashing on the Earth in Jerusalem, his head formed an upside down cone inside the Earth. This is where is located the Hell. In the Hell, people pay for their sins with different penitences (12-13). For instance, a person that committed homicide will freeze in a lake frozen by the breath of Satan (XXXIV canto). If a person during his or her life commits any sins but asks for forgiveness, then he or she will go to the Purgatory. The purgatory is represented by an island with a mountain (23). One source states that “Purgatory is very similar to Hell; the main difference is that one will eventually be released from torture. The souls that go in the Purgatory are tortured with fire. These souls remain in purgatory until they become sufficiently purified to enter heaven”(2). For example, if a soul in the purgatory asks for forgiveness and pays the punition with some tests, the soul will be released and moved immediately to Heaven (2).
Interpreting Satan’s rant, he says that everyone has their own mind. Whether or not they’re in Heaven or hell physically, they can make it feel as another mentally. He also questions what makes God any greater than him or him any less that God. Satan figures at least he is free to roam and rule in Hell. In his mind, being king is more important, even if it is in Hell. He also believes that by no means can God drive them away from their throne in Hell.
