Who was your idol when you were growing up? Who did you look up to? Who did you want to be like? Many of you are thinking back to those younger years and are thinking “Well I wanted to be a superhero.” Who can blame you; superheros have superhuman powers or gadgets that helped them save the world. But here is the problem, who do you consider the greatest? Let me help you out from the stress and headache from trying to decide and tell you right now that the answer to that is Ironman. You are probably wondering why you should consider Ironman the greatest superhero; well let me tell you. In the very beginning Ironman, or Tony Stark at that time was captured by the United States enemy in an attempt to forcefully make him build a weapon that …show more content…
could destroy the United States, he stayed faithful and dedicated and did not give in.
Another thing is, the symbol of Ironman, his suit. The suit originally created to save the life of Tony Stark, later to be known as Ironman, gave him a different insight on life and drove him to become the hero he is today. Ironman's suit is equipped with several features that ensures people that they will be protected when he is around. His suit has the ability to absorb electrical currents and regenerate it to recharge his suit. The suit is nearly indestructible, making him one of the hardest superheroes to take down. A second characteristic that makes Ironman an impressive superhero is his that unlike other superheroes who are solely defined by their powers, Ironman has skills outside of his suit. When grounded from his use of his suits, Ironman turned to fellow Avenger Captain America and learned basic combat …show more content…
skills to make himself a great fighter. Then one of the most heart-warming characteristic that makes Ironman a strong role model and superhero is the simple fact that he is the superhero with the most health problems. He was injured with a piece of shrapnel in his heart, he suffered from heart attacks, and was even paralyzed for a while. These things show that Ironman is a man who is dedicated, powerful, strong minded, quick on his feet, and smart. What more could you ask for in a hero? It does not take much for Ironman to one up the other superhero idols you may think are better.
For example, when compared to the infamous Batman the biggest winning trait that puts Batman second place is his batsuit. Although Batman’s batsuit is very formidable it is not at all invincible. The batsuit is basically a bullet-proof bodysuit that has left him injured a time or two. Ironman is also a superhero for the future, while on the other hand, Batman is stuck in the past. Ironman lives in the modern age and uses everything that the world today has to offer and Batman is stuck in the dark with outdated technology and no clue about the world outside of his city of Gotham. Captain America’s biggest downfall is his lack of weapons. He just has a shield that has limited range, when on the other hand Ironman has countless weapons and suits for different situations. Those are only a few examples, but let us remember winning a fight against another hero is not the only winning traits of being the greatest
superhero. Ironman deserves the title as the greatest superhero and for several reasons which I have explained already but let me give you a refresher. When you think of a superhero you may think of someone with superhuman strength or the ability to fly or even invincibility, but imagine having all those traits in one man. You have that with Ironman. When you want someone to come and save you, you want someone who is dedicated and who will put all that they have on the line for your protection, you have that with Ironman. I promise you, you will not find a superhero who is as smart, dedicated, trustworthy, helpful, and smart as Ironman. Do not become victim to false accusations on who the greatest superhero is and pick Ironman!
In The First Avenger his choice was obvious, America and its allies were at war against Nazis, saving people was the right thing to do, and as a soldier it came easily. Nevertheless, it is also true that one could say that this choice was mostly motivated by his grief, having seen Bucky fall from a train and having been unable to prevent it. However, in The Winter Soldier, the world is not at war though some Americans, those who could stand up for themselves and make a difference, were targeted. Steve Rogers refuses to submit to what he judges as unreasonable orders and which he will soon discover to be HYDRA's. He is down-to-earth and smart enough to realize he needs allies. His honesty and idea of justice, something fair not by his country's politics but by humanist standards, together with his eloquence, make him a perfect leader. Someone so noble that anyone would look up to him. Despite the power of his words and his untainted reputation, the fact that people would usually follow him without a second thought, he never abuses of the faith put in him. On the contrary, he does his best to be worthy and keep on fighting for what people need, and for their safety, for their freedom. His devotion goes to them, not the government, and he also has faith in them, he trusts SHIELD's agents into doing the right thing and helping him stopping the
As times change for the types of warfare, also does the transportation, the armor, as well as the weaponry. From the caveman era with rocks wrapped with veins around a stick followed by the renaissance era with archers and swords. Then came the conquest of the Americas with single-round guns and light clothing, now today with automatic multi-round rifles and bulletproof armor. Some wonder what is next in the development of military technology such as weaponry and armor. Marvel’s Iron Man takes a much detailed look from the government, after the first movie as Tony Stark (Main Character in the comic and in the movies) creates a suit that gives him superhuman abilities, bulletproof metal, health monitoring system, the ability to fly, and many other things. Many fans of the Iron Man trilogy dream of the day when science fiction becomes reality. Officials from U.S. Special Operation Command issued a formal request to researchers to help them build this suit the military is calling the Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS). As the Army prepares for future wars, they want to research the Iron Man suit and develop a working suit by 2018. Even though the cost of building an Iron Man suit is too expensive, but the armor would help protect soldiers from the serious injuries of war by the medical/technological advancements, the abilities it gives to the operator, also it would change warfare.
The difference between a superhero, as we know from movies and comics, and a traditional hero is rather unclear for many people.. In modern times, a superhero is often a being with supernatural abilities. For example, the movies depict them as individuals with super strength, night vision, the ability to climb walls, and so on. The majority of audiences have been spoiled with these unrealistic depictions and are unable to recall the real or “traditional” hero. In the texts, The Epic of Gilgamesh, The Book of Job, and Bhagavad Gita, heroes are not “as seen on television”, but something more. The heroes in these stories carry great strengths such as wisdom, patience, and pride. To illustrate these characteristics, the protagonists themselves
There are heroes all over the world. What makes a hero are the choices they make and the things they accomplish. Spiderman is that hero and this essay will explain why.
Mankind is always advancing its’ technology. The arc reactor technology is a vital part of the Iron Man story because it not only keeps Tony Stark alive but also provides power to his suit. “The most similar device that has been made is the ITER fusion reactor which mashes isotopes together to make atoms which then can be used to create energy” (Quora). The energy the reactor makes is then used to power Mr. Stark’s greatest weapon, the iron man suit. The iron man suit is the tool that Tony Stark uses to vanquish his enemies throughout the series. In Tony’s journey there are various stages which he must endure which include the call, answer, guide, threshold, trials, brother battle, rescue, and finally master of two worlds.
Hercules, the most powerful and glorious hero of Greek mythology with his chivalrous behavior, unsurpassing strength, and athletic physique, is the archetypal figure whom modern men measure themselves against. Hercules demonstrates his strength and compassion through difficult labors, and through the destruction of incredible beasts and gods. Hercules, who in his earlier years was called Alcides, was believed to be the son of Amphitryon, but in reality was in fact the son of Zeus. Hercules was said to be a hero of courage as well, and was not commonly known to think with his head but rather his heart, his emotions were known to take over. Superheroes are heroes that can be either born ordinary and later obtain their designated “superpower” or they can be immediately born with the powers they will later be known for and in this case Hercules was always a god and born with his super strength. Overall though the specific ability that truly made his special was his super strength, which is why Hercules should be considered a superhero.

A piece of deadly shrapnel is lodged in his body, dangerously close to his heart. Stark, wary that the promise is most likely a trap and that he will be killed no matter what he manages to build, instead creates an iron suit that will be able to keep the shard from further penetrating his heart and killing him. He uses the abilities of the suit to escape from Wong-Chu’s camp, rescuing many others and getting Wong-Chu’s troops to desert him along the way. Over the fifty-two years since the character was launched in March of 1963, Iron Man has made many friends and faced countless enemies. Spider-Man is a brilliant example of the true superhero as he kept his humanity in spite of all difficulties.
