“Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you”. This is a quote from a famous cartoon character Dr. Suess. Inspiration is defined as stimulation, arousal of the mind, etc to special or unusual activity or creativity.1 Therefore an inspirational person will be someone who can influence others to express their potential in a positive way. Well, in my case the person who inspired me the most is a politician. It might sound absurd, how a politician can inspire a medical student like me? As a medical student, I often have problems in life, especially in my studies, but Dr. Mahathir has shown me that a problem does not depend on how big or how small it is, but how we look at the problem and the way to solve it. By it he taught me to solve problems efficiently and make good decisions quickly.

The writing style of the author is quite interesting to me. Atul Gawande’s honesty, a major aspect of his writing style, beautifully highlights the good and bad of any medical profession. For example, Gawande’s argument over the use of patients for resident training
The struggle to perform is felt all over the world. Every person faces hardships such as fatigue, limited resources, and hindered abilities in any profession. However, in the medical field where any mistake can cause a death, Doctors like Atul Gawande strive for greatness to better the world. With this inspiration, Dr. Gawande wrote a book on how to exactly do that.

Mohandas “Mahatma” Gandhi (October 2, 1869 - January 30, 1948) was an Indian political leader. Since Before Gandhi was born India had been colonized by the British. During his childhood, he had witnessed the cruelty that the British had imposed on his people. However he could not do anything, then because as a member of the ruling class of India he was required to attend university in Britain where he was taught law. Once he had returned in 1914 Gandhi made it his goal to end British rule in India. There had been many attempts for self-rule in India before, however Gandhi had a...
Now, you’re probably thinking, isn’t that Mahatma Ghandi? The guy who achieved independence for India? Yes, in fact it is. Mohandas Karamchand Ghandi, more commonly known as Mahatma Ghandi was an Indian philosopher who was born on October 2nd in Porbander, India. He was the primary leader for India’s independent movement, seeking to become independent from Britain’s control. He studied law and was an advocate
Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “If humanity is to progress, Gandhi is inescapable… We may ignore him at our own risk.” King cited Gandhi as one of his biggest inspirations, which should come as no surprise, as Gandhi helped end racism towards as many if not more people than King himself. Gandhi pioneered the use of what he called satyagraha, or political change through nonviolence, and helped bring millions of India’s oppressed to equality. Lord Mountbatten, the last British ruler of India, is quoted as saying, “Mahatma Gandhi will go down in history on a par with Buddha and Jesus Christ.” There is no denying the truth in this statement because of the way he had a profound impact on the lives of those around him, just like these other two famous figures of history. Gandhi may have been very small man, relatively speaking, but he grew to be a giant in the eyes of the world.
Two very important revolutionary leaders attempted to fundamentally change the social and governing structure of their nations. Both men have many similarities and differences. These men are Mahatmas Gandhi and Maximillien Robespierre. Gandhi and Maximilien had the same goals however they encountered many differences.

Mahatma Gandhi was a man of faith and great conviction. He was born into an average Hindu family in India. Like most teenagers he had a rebellious stage when he smoked, spent time with girls and ate meat (forbidden to strict Hindus). The young Gandhi changed as a person while earning a living as a lawyer in South Africa. He came in contact with the apartheid and the future Mahatma began to emerge, one who championed the truth through non-violent resistance. It was between 1915 and his assassination in 1945 that he struggled for India's freedom.
“The strongest physical force bends before moral force when used in the defense of truth.” - Mahatma Gandhi (Bondurant). Mahatma Gandhi was the main leader in helping India become independent through the principles of non violence, self-rule, and the unity of Hindus and Muslims. His full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, but he was given the name Mahatma later on in his life. He wanted to see an united India without the rule of the British Empire. He accomplished this with passive resistance or resistance by non violence because he wanted to show that violence is not always the best answer.

To conclude, Mahatma Gandhi is a very inspirational role model who not only reacted to violence without violence but overcame it and (for the most part) succeeded in life without violence. He had everything going against him but still found a way to get what he most desperately strived for: peace. He was a victim of bullying and segregation and looked past the odds and was inspirational for many people. He is a major role model for many people in the world who try to make this world a better
