Donald John Trump, Sr. was born June 14th 1946 in Queens New York. I am here to talk to you today about Donald Trump’s real estate career, how he got into the business and how he go into politics. Trump is most well known for being an American business magnate, investor, author, reality television personality, and Republican candidate for President of the United States in the 2016 presidential election.
Donald John Trump was born June 14th 1946 in Queens, New York to Mary and Frank Trump. Donald’s father, Frank although American born was of German descent and his mother was born in Scotland. He has been married three times, first with Ivana Zelnikova, then Marla Maples and is currently married to Melania Knauss. He has three children with Ivana and one with Marla and Melania, respectively.

He developed many condo and hotel complexes around the city many of which are now among the most well known, luxurious hotels in the Big Apple. In the early 1980’s, Trump entered the casino gambling business after purchasing property in Atlantic city. Trump opened the world's biggest hotel and casino in 1990, The Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. He continued his success by building Trump Tower. He bought the Plaza hotel in 1988 for 407 million. During the recession of the mid 90’s, his net worth plunged from 1.7 billion to 500 million dollars. Trump teamed up with NBC in the late 90’s to buy the Miss Universe Organization. Donald Trump maintained his high profile after starting the NBC reality series The Apprentice in 2004. Trump has been vocal about his political views during his whole life and has changed his political affiliations five times.
Trump had been affiliated with the Democratic party and The Independent party multiple times prior to joining the Republican party in 2011. He is currently running for the Republican presidential nomination for the 2016 election and has received tremendous polling results to this point in the campaign, most recently polling at 35% among probable Republican voters, 16% higher than the second place candidate. He has been criticized by the media for some of his promises, including building a wall on the Mexican border and a proposal to ban all Muslims immigrating to the United States amidst the growing threat of Islamic jihadist terrorism in the

Although Trump may often say racist and xenophobic things, his support is so high among Americans due to the fact that he is moderate on certain issues compared to other Republican candidates, plain spoken, he represents hope, he will inspire people to do better and to try harder. His family operated the profitable New York real estate developing company, specializing in middle-income housing, Elizabeth Trump & Sons (Biography 2). Trump was an energetic child and was sent to military school during his teen years to learn disciple (Ask Men 5). He succeeded at The New York Military Academy and became a star student, football, baseball, and soccer player (Encyclopedia of World Biography 2). Graduating in 1964, he momentarily considered pursuing a film degree but instead decided to enroll at Fordham University, and later transfer to The Whorton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. During the summer, Trump would work with his father in the real estate industry, gaining experience. It was during this time him and his father undertook the revamping of a neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio, The Swifton Village. After investing only a half a million dollars into the units, him and his father were able to reach 100% occupancy in two years and turned over a $6 million profit (Korte 4). Thanks for commenting. I agree with many of you points, however I do not believe that immigrants are taking the jobs of able Americans. Farm work, gardening, and other labor intensive jobs are not be filled by U.S. citizens (possibly having to do with low wages), so why would it be an issue if these immigrants decided to work in these fields? In addition to this, refugees can create their own businesses, so this doesn’t necessarily take jobs away from American workers. Unfortuanely there are many unemployed Americans, however in many cases, it is a matter of multiple applications and having the right skills. If people are not qualified for the job, then obviously it should be given to someone with the proper credentials. If immigrants have these skills then why wouldn’t a company want to hire them, versus someone who is lacking the specific background and or education?

Reflecting on his life, he has faced many challenges and overcame them all.
