of the tragedy that occured this day. " Running naked from my bath, I saw paper and pigeons flying through the air. It was kind of beautiful in it’s own way. Silver pieces floating in the air. The flames get worse;I start seeing these people around the area and then I see this man with a white towel and he starts waving it, he jumps and kids start screaming. I couldn’t tear myself away.” Many individuals are fighting to forget the horrible events that damaged their lives. B. The percentage of post-traumatic increased among those who were closer to the attack. Approximately 20 percent of people who lived under the Canal Street in N.Y.C, near the W.T.C, were found to have the disorder following the attacks. Many individuals were substantially affected by September 11, the terrorists attack on the W.T.C and Pentagon; due to these attacks, humanity had wondered if there is an association between September 11 and the Post-traumatic stress disorder. II. Furthermore, as it is said, the world revolves around money and the economy is the main key to share and gain back more money. The U.S has a leading role in this financial system because it is simply the largest and the most wealthiest country in the world. A. September 11 did not just change America, it changed the nation as a whole impacting the whole economy. According to a report, “The growing concern for security and the war on terror provided the greatest economic impact for the United States and the world.” Economic effects were the most received ones.
The September 11 attack triggered off the destruction of the American economy. B. The 9/11 attack had immediate and long-term economic impacts, and to this day some continue. The economic effects coming from the September 11 attack were initially shocking. It caused global stock markets to drop sprucely. The September 11 attack resulted in approximately 40 billion in losses of insurance. It led to one of the biggest government spending programs in the U.S. history, the War on Terror. The biggest economic impact of 9/11 was how the increased defense spending led the U.S. to a debt crisis. Stated by President Bush, “Americans should not expect one battle but a lengthy campaign, unlike any other we have ever seen.” Bush launched the War in Afghanistan to find and to bring to justice Osama bin Laden, head of the al-Qaeda organization that launched the 9/11 attack. The War on Terror reduced funds for stimulus programs to boost the country out of the 2008 financial crisis. Fewer careers were created, which meant less tax revenue, further increasing the …show more content…
debt. III. All in all, an iconic image is a most powerful reminder of an event that occurred in the past. It is something that often triggers an emotion. As such, they are documented in countless photographs and videos. For those who lived September 11, it is etched in memory. But it also lives forever in incredible images that were taken. The image that I chose was the second tower of the W.T.C bursting into flames after being hit by a hijacked airplane in N.Y in this September 11 tragedy. This image brought horror to those people who tried to exit the stairs on the floor where they were, but their escape was impossible.
The stairs were found to be locked. Murder is the meaning of 9/11. Everyone's life is hanged by a thread. People may be here today, but may be gone tomorrow. Even though people aren't seen throwing themselves out the windows like in other images it is said that a spiritual image was seen in the smoke of that tower. September 11 is a day full of nightmares for many individuals. B. Life doesn’t stop because an act of terror is happening nearby. September 11 is not just about mourning, it's about the community giving back hope. It is about police forces and firefighters in N.Y , the servicemen and females in the Pentagon, including the many passengers in the flights. September 11 was a day of disgrace, but it was also a day of bravery, and of integrity. Overall, 9/11 was a big deal, it changed America forever even though it was a tragic or horrific day in the American history. It was an era in which individuals acted honorably. September 11 experienced horrible hours, but it lead to the beginning of one of America's finest opportunities.
Conclusion: September 11 is a tragic event that had a major effect on our community. It had various long-term negative effects: Physical health, Social, Psychological , and Economic effects. Individuals lost their lives this day. 9/11 was composed in United States history; it launched our economy into a huge shortfall and it engaged the U.S in a war. The twin towers each had a workplace of approximately thirty five thousand people and over four hundred companies and in both more than 3,000 people were killed.
On September 11th, 2001 at the World Trade Center 2,749 people were killed when hijacked American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 were crashed into the north and south towers. 412 of them were rescue workers who came to help. 147of them were passengers or crew members on the two flights. 102 Minutes by Jim Dwyer and Kevin Flynn, the title referring to the time between when the first airplane hit the north tower and the south tower collapsed, tells the stories of what is happening inside the Twin Towers on September 11th and the fight for survival under unimaginable conditions.
September 11, 2001 was a day that Americans and the world for that matter will not soon forget. When two planes went into the twin towers of the World Trade Center and two others went into the Pentagon and a small town in Pennsylvania, the world was rocked. Everyone in the United States felt very vulnerable and unsafe from attacks that might follow. As a result, confidence in the CIA, FBI, and the airlines were shaken. People were scared to fly after what had happened.
The official story of 9/11 is a conspiracy theory in that the government claims 19 hijackers conspired together to hijack four planes and create terror in the world. Four American airplanes were hijacked; two were driven into the World Trade Centers and the third airplane into the Pentagon. The fourth airplane suspected target was the White House, but it was diverted by the brave men and women aboard that hijacked airplane, and crashed the airline jet before it could reach its target. It was like time stood still as America watched through television broadcast these unbelievable and horrifying events taking place. The reports told of the smell the jet fuel, burning flesh, and people jumping out windows to their death to escape the flames. When the two bravura structures tumbling down, rescuers, (police officers, firefighters, and ambulance drivers and techs) were caught in the mast and lost their lives doing their job trying to save lives.
Host: On September the 11th 2001, the notorious terror organisation known as Al-Qaeda struck at the very heart of the United States. The death count was approximately 3,000; a nation was left in panic. To this day, counterterrorism experts and historians alike regard the event surrounding 9/11 as a turning point in US foreign relations. Outraged and fearful of radical terrorism from the middle-east, President Bush declared that in 2001 that it was a matter of freedoms; that “our very freedom has come under attack”. In his eyes, America was simply targeted because of its democratic and western values (CNN News, 2001). In the 14 years following this pivotal declaration, an aggressive, pre-emptive approach to terrorism replaced the traditional
9/11 was a horrific incident. There are no words that can possibly describe how deeply it affected the America that my generation has come to know. This atrocity hurt the economy and made us into an intolerant country; however, this same atrocity also opened our nations eyes. It showed us how vulnerable we were, and as a result our countries security, and the concern for safety of its citizens has grown. While it is important to recognize how terrible 9/11 was, its also important to recognize how much it has helped our great nation. 9/11 and events like it are important. They show us how to better our country and though painful, these events necessary into growing our country.
If 9/11 did not happen a lot of things would be different. When it comes to airports and its security, we would not have to show up at the airport a few hours before the flight to take off shoes to pass through security, and we may even be able to bring liquids on planes. When it comes to legislation, had the act of violence not happened, George W. Bush might not have won a second term. If John Kerry was voted into presidency, Obama might still be in the Senate. I feel that September 11th influenced a dramatically changing international system. And today would not essentially be safer absent September
How did 9/11 change American history? The attacks of September eleventh changed our culture. Not only did it change our culture, but it changed our security. If the attacks had not happened, we would not have troops stationed in the Middle East. The attacks of September eleventh changed the history of our country.

Finally, on that rainy April morning, we made our way down to Ground Zero. As we entered the church, the smell of stale books and soggy clothing filled our noses. It was that smell of just coming out of a fresh rain, wet hair and wet faces surrounded us. Booths displaying medical stations, sleeping areas, and food stations were set up. They were frozen statues, the ghosts of the events that took place on September 11th and the weeks after. We shuffled through the pews and lined ourselves up at the front of the church.
On September 11, 2001 terrorists crashed two American airline airplanes into Twin Towers, killing thousands of people. It was the worst terrorist attack in American history and it showed us that we are not protected by Atlantic and Pacific. It showed us that we could be attacked by anyone at anytime. It showed us that if we will be attacked again that we can only depend on each other and not on other nations to help us. The 9/11 changed people forever, some lost family members or friends, others lost their jobs even so called “American Dream.”
9/11 was a tragic day for New Yorkers and citizens of the U.S. This topic is too emotional for some people to talk about, but we need to stop trying to forget what occurred that day and put our own efforts into solving what really went down. Let me start off by explaining the story that most people remembered 9/11 as. In the morning of September 11, 2001, nineteen terrorist that were in a group called al–Qaeda snuck through a billion dollar defense system with knives and box cutters, and were able to hijacked 4 planes. All planes were destined to go to California. At 8:45, one plane crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center. At 9:03, a second plane hit the south tower of the WTC, crashing into the 60th floor. About an hour and
9/11 was one of the most tragic days on the United States history. The morning of September 11, 2001 had started off normal. The calm morning turned into a horrifying day after four planes were high-jacked. The Air force was dispatched attempted to stop them without having to destroy the planes. However the communications failed, making the end result terrible for the United States. Two of the planes crashed into the twin tower also known as the World Trade Center. 9/11 took a lot of lives. It was 8:45 Tuesday Morning. Two Islamic terrorists from Saudi Arabia high jacked an American Airlines Boeing 767 loaded with 20,000 gallons of jet fuel. The first plane crashed into the North Tower of the world Trade Center. When they hit the building, it left a gaping, burning hole near the 80th floor of the 110-story skyscraper. When all this happened, it shocked everybody in New York and the whole United States. People that were in the building that plane crashed into, people started jumping out of the building from the 80th floor. So I know they died instead of trying to find another way to get out. The people that were watching the other people jump, they were freaking out. And as the people were jumping out of the building, the others were trying to find a way out. Some people were trying to get out by going down the stairway because the elevators were not working. Then a few minutes later, another plane crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. After the plane crashed into the South Tower, the North Tower collapsed. When the tower collapsed, everybody and everything that was around the World Trade Center was covered in dust. Everything looked Disastrous. While the Trade Centers were getting destroyed, another plane had flown into the Pentagon building in Washington D.C. Another plane was going to crash into the White House, but somebody on the plane stopped the high jackers. The reason why they were going t...
