Over the years, people at war have come up with better and better ways of killing their enemy. Long ago, spears were used to kill; so were swords, bow and arrows, and knives. Somehow, destroying someone's else's people and territory makes us a lot better at coming up with new things. Guns, as a result of this, have gotten bigger and more destructive by each and every decade. Especially when it comes to machine guns; there are many different kinds with different aspects that make them better than guns of yesterday. This is my list of the top ten machine guns in the world. AK stands for Avtomat Kalashniknova. The gun is cheap to produce and pops up in many different black markets, especially Africa, who is known for their production of the gun. It has been prized by many different armies, like Arabian Russian, African, and Soviet. Probably the most produced weapon there is in the world, with over one hundred million units out around the world.
4. M2HB 50 caliber machine gun
The HB in the name stands for heavy barrel, this air cooled weapon can fire around 450-575 rounds a minute. This gun is made by the famous Browning company. You can also select to fire single shots, and there are other selections of bursts that you can choose from. That makes this weapon quite versatile. It expands on the previous water cooled barrel by adding more mass and extra surface on the barrel make up for the lack of water cooling. These new features make the gun less bulky and weigh almost forty pounds (or seventeen kilograms) lighter.

The amount of ammunition that is allowed by law to be loaded into a firearm criminalize many popular handguns, even those used by the military like the Beretta m9 9mm, which is the standard issue side arm of the United States military that has an ammo capacity of a whopping 15 bullets. 16 bullets if one is locked in the chamber. According to this new law only seven are allowed to be loaded at any given time except when in a competition on a range.
Eventually the U.S then began to produce more new weapons in 1833-50 as they created a U.S Model 1842 Musket. This was the first US made weapon with swappable parts at both Harpers Ferry and Springfield Armory. About 275,000 of these muskets were made during this time frame.

Having a gun that revolves was very difficult because the barrels would not always line up correctly when being fired. The original gun was actually designed to fire the standard military issue paper cartridge of the day, .58 caliber. A .58 caliber bullet has a diameter of an inch and is capable of damaging anything it hits. The paper cartridge was placed inside a steel or brass chamber with a percussion nipple on the back end just like the muzzle loading rifles and pistols of there time.
